I live in Albany, Western Australia. Humpback whales (and especially Southern Right Whales) have made a huge comeback from near extinction. During their annual migration they are often in the break just offshore. Awesome but not scary!
This looks exactly like agate beach in Oregon! I was sure that’s where you were until the final scenes of the buildings. Amazing how similar it looks to our break.

Surfing here in Byron bay australia with whales breaching is epic👍. After giving birth up in Queensland some stop in the bay with their babies for a rest and come very close in and it’s pure gold to see them🙂. Thanks for the vid, awesome✌️❤️
Cool story bro, except there would be 1000 gronks in the water and 3000 influencers on land taking selfies, so kinda nothing like this vid with solid waves and no-one out but 10 whales and 2 groms.
What was so scary? The rock off looked interesting. Kudos to u guys for paddling out! I suppose the whales were the icing on the cake.... on their way to hawaii maybe?
