Just think, probably more people have climbed Mt Everest than had a wave like this.
Michelle worley . A friend climbed Everest 15 odd years ago, he also said it was the experience of a lifetime. Cost him well over 50k. But nothing about his or your experience changes the validity of my statement.
I surfed for almost 5 decades, now in my 60s and after multiple joint replacements can’t really do it any more. But the saying “ only a surfer knows the feeling” will forever remain true.

@@j_7564 no you haven't. kelly slaters wave pool can't beat skeleton bay. and there were still crazier barrels at skeleton bay than this video. they didn't ride the wave as long but this *is* the best surf spot in the world right now.

That wave was incredible to most surfers, but if you're a hardcore longboarder, you might rather be on a slower moving, crumblier, 5 footer so you can hang 10 and do some walking around. If you're an exclusive huge wave sender, you might be bored riding this wave.

I was driving through Namibia last week and saw him still on that wave! I offered him a lift but he said he’s gonna surf ‘all the way to New Zealand’ because it was ‘death on a stick out there mate’!..

Mother Nature wins for now. With enough money and enough space Kelly can duplicate this wave easily. I would argue he can do an even better and bigger wave than this eventually. Wait and watch...
P.s. Plus a wave pool has no sharks. Call me crazy but this waters of Africa are scary looking and probably FULL of White Sharks. I would never surf that place for that reason alone.

Yes, enough with the soundtracks. Nature is shown at its visual and dynamic best and then overlaid it with something disconnected and artificial. UA-cam is full of that. Nature has its own magnificent soundtrack. It should be used.

LIONShot he’s still on the wave! He can’t get out from it! A year later people were dropping him off food and water via drone so he could keep surfing that wave!... 😜

He just kept going left, all the way through Africa, skipped off into the Canaries, back to Morocco and there is no surf in the Mediterranean, but he popped through Gibraltar, somehow wrapped the whole sea, through Egypt, Lebanon, Greece and then stuff got sweet in Spain and France, saw the English Channel but opted going Left into Ireland, up through Scotland and by miracle connected the Left to Iceland, Greenland and into Nova Scotia! He just kept going left, drones dropping energy bars to keep him surfing that wave, he continued riding that Left all the way down the US Eastern Seaboard, all the way down to Florida! And that's where it went flat...
