I helped contribute music on BG&E2 (a dream of mine to be able to contribute to the sequel) only to have Ubisoft & HitRecord not credit me for some guitar parts I did for some of the songs, and pay me what in the end? A whopping $300+ for months of work that I did on that game. Some other people who contributed VOs (voice overs), art, and music got paid as low as mere cents for what they did on that game. An absolute disgrace what both HitRecord did using their tactics to screw over fans of the game by using a well known unethical method of using artists called Spec-Work to force us to compete against each other for compensation for our work, alongside a joke of a budget split unfairly amongst 200+ musicians, graphic art designers, and VOs (I think it was around $50,000 the budget that they split amongst all of us). Besides the money, like really I think all of us as fans of the first game just wanted it to get released, but we know after nearly 7 years now that it most likely ain’t happening.
In 2022, Beyond good and evil 2 broke the record for longest development period for a videogame (16-17 years and still counting) which is crazy! The developers used this remaster to promise the players that the game is still coming with an exclusive new mission that reveals more about the narrative link to Beyond Good and Evil 2 ! hope it will come sooner than we thought
Proper development didn’t start until 2017 when the sequel was officially announced. The 2008 announcement was just a tech demo and the project was scrapped almost immediately after.
This is my favourite game ever. I played it when i was little. Back then i was scared of the alpha sections when they spotted me, I always turned of my ps2 as quickly as possible..I’m 24 rn

This game is pure nostalgia for me, back in the day I played this together with my sister ánd my dad. My job was to hit the refill in time so my dad didn't die trying to defeat the end boss, not sure actually what my sister was doing but it took the three of us to defeat the monster. One of the few games that we played together.

Does anyone know if the voice-over clips here were in the original game? I honestly don't remember. They sound newly recorded to me because of the focus on "20 years" to go with the theme of the 20th anniversary. But If it is new, that means Jade has been recast, no? Because the original actress has died. So if this is a new Jade, does that mean they completely re recorded her lines in the main game as well? But its entirely possible these lines were in the original game and I'm just not remembering, it's been many years since I've played it.
There are lines in this video taken from the original game’s script that sound different in cadence, notably “no matter what happens, good luck, Jade”. It’s been a hot minute since I played the game but I am leaning towards re-recorded audio.

He also owns a studio and left the studio (Sheep Studios) that is creating Wild (announced in 2015 and still not released till this day.) He retired from the video games industry last i checked.

I’m going to cry. This was childhood! 🥹 This game was the last thing my uncle gifted me for Christmas before he stepped out of his own life. He was never able to get past the Factory. When he gave me the game, he told me to “finish it the game for him”. I was 9 years old, so I didn’t know what that sentence actually meant. Now as a tradition, ever since his passing. I’ve 100% completed the game every single year around Christmas, for him. Thank you for making this classic easily accessible to me and everyone who wants to play this game! 🫶🏼

Honestly super happy to see this 💚 Gonna be getting myself the physical editions (Switch & PS4)! I think if anyone wants to see a BGE2, I recommend letting Ubisoft know by purchasing this game. BGE2 won't magically appear if you complain hard enough. 🤷🏼♀️
recently purchased the game because I’ve heard good things about this game never played it before and I got to say. I loved it, I enjoyed the world, gameplay even the story and characters. I’m replaying the game to do the bonus mission that lets you learn more about Jades childhood and how it will relate to the next game in this series so please make the sequel because from the trailers I’ve seen I’m definitely hyped for the next installment.

No one ever hears of this game. Just got a steam deck from my wifes uncle and put the original on it. The aspect ratio was off so I decided to fix it later. Upon discovering there was an anniversary edition I bought with zero hesitation and began unearthing my childhood in a new lense. Little bumpy on some edges but the addition of more content was great at separating the original feel and something new for everyone
I cryed while the Trailer is running. I love the universe. i love the story. I will buy it again. Even i have it multiple times on pc and other plattforms. Still big hopes for Beyond good and Evil 2 :) Love the Charackters and story so much :O

I’m replaying the game to do the bonus mission that lets you learn more about Jades childhood and how it will relate to the next game in this series so please make the sequel because from the trailers I’ve seen I’m definitely hyped for the next installment.

I love this game so much i passed it 4 times on my ps2,yesterday i started playing again and today i see this ! 10 days and im getting the enhanced version ! Life is good.

When can we pre order it
No one ever hears of this game. Just got a steam deck from my wifes uncle and put the original on it. The aspect ratio was off so I decided to fix it later. Upon discovering there was an anniversary edition I bought with zero hesitation and began unearthing my childhood in a new lense. Little bumpy on some edges but the addition of more content was great at separating the original feel and something new for everyone

I cryed while the Trailer is running. I love the universe. i love the story. I will buy it again. Even i have it multiple times on pc and other plattforms. Still big hopes for Beyond good and Evil 2 :) Love the Charackters and story so much :O
