The biggest problem with Ballerina is not the «strong female character». There are plenty of action movies with credible female action character. Alien and Halloween franchises, La Femme Nikita, Kill Bill and so on. The biggest difference is that all of those movies were original stories, while Hollywood seems to take already established action franchise and just re-cast them with female roles and expect people to go see it. It’s as lazy as it gets. I’m sure most men wouldn’t mind a good, original action movie with female protagonist. Just not this type of recycled garbage.

Electric state..👌 watched an AI animated version short of this earlier on in the year, looked sooo cool, now that i can see Chris Pratts starring in this movie just adds to my most wanted to watch movies of 2025. I'm the first in line to voice my dissolution with the recent MCU slate, but can we at least watch this one before we write it off? To this grizzled long-standing comics & MCU fan, this movie has me excited for potential Winter Soldier / Civil War vibes.
