- Happy Friday Everyone! Today I take you on 2 magical trips around my home in London...in a true week in winter! We had crazy rain, freezing nights and even some more snow! Another Fine Vlog, Good Job Hannah. Today in St. Louis the “feels like” temperature is 9 degrees F with a dusting of snow. Chalk Farm! My son stayed there in a converted Youth Hostile for a semester, right across the street from the entrance to the Camden Market. A very cool eclectic vibe. I’m still amazed how green the grass still is. Those were some beautiful houses and nice pubs. It’s a shame that we tend to knock down old buildings with character and replace them with nondescript modern ones around here.

Another lovely tour with the lovely Hannah. Although, it made me a little cold. We're dealing with snow we got overnight here and it's more than we expected. It's a bit of a pain. But it is pretty. I look forward to seeing more video of London in the snow.

Ahhh I have the same tea towel and oven glove set! My friend got me them three years ago when I bought my own flat! I don’t own a Dachshund but I do love them!

Missing my early morning runs. We have had so much snow and ice here in the US. Love going on these walks.....London is just so pretty. But, yes, I live in a pretty cool area. Close to the beach but we have property.....so a big garden, ponds.....greenhouse. The window boxes and hanging baskets in London always inspire me. Thank you so much for this beautiful walk, Hannah.

You wondered about red-nose day and if it’s just a UK thing-we have it at one store in the U.S.-a drugstore called Walgreens but, unfortunately, it hasn’t really caught on yet.
Greetings Hannah,,,,good walk and music to go along with the vlog today. Really enjoyed seeing those amazing homes and I still cant get over how green it is even with the small amount of snow there. I want all those cakes from Primrose Bakery...!! We just endured a straight week of -33 real feel -48..ohhhhhh yea snap that was cold !! On the plus side its going to be a balmy -5 real feel -15 this coming week...woohooooo sweater weather !! Happy weekend stay warm and well !!

OK, so the 'little green hut' at 18:19 is in fact a Cabmen's Shelter. These were originally set up in the 19th Century, so that hansom cab drivers could get a cup of tea and a snack. The very first one was built in 1875 on Acacia Rd in St John's Wood, so around Hannah's area. There used to be over 60 of them around London but there are only 13 left now, the Acacia Rd one's long gone. I think (but am not sure) that you're only supposed to be allowed inside if you're an official taxi driver but everyone can stop off for a take-away.
One of the people who came up with the idea was the Earl of Shaftesbury. He was known as 'The Poor Man's Earl' due to his care and concern for working people. It was partly Shaftesbury's influence that inspired Charles Dickens to write A Christmas Carol.

At the end of the day, 'It's kind of tough to tell a scruff the big mistake he's making, (Adam & the Ants ~ Stand & Deliver) ... Will he or won't he?? Will the Dandy Highwayman make a public appearance in Primrose Hill?? ~ complete with white stripe across his nose.
It's probably unlikely, but it's one of the reasons why I'll be watching! Lol :)

I like listening to you chatter and to the natural sounds of the world, rather than the music! With or without music though, your vlogs are fabulous. I really do love seeing the city through your eyes. We are back in another lock-down, minimum of five days though it may well be longer. The variant arrived here in a cluster and they want to eliminate it. I understand the need while lamenting being back in the prison.

Save yourself the scrubbing! Always line your baking sheets in aluminum foil or parchment paper. I haven't had to do more than a rinse to my baking sheets in years!

Love this video. Only -2? This morning when I was out, it was -18C ("real feel" -26C) and was snowing quite a bit more than the pleasant amount you got. But I guess thats the difference between winter in Canada and the UK. Really enjoyed checking out the old-style "proper" pubs with the little peek-a-boo looks inside. A little jealous about that (we've got nothing like that at all). The walk down by the canal was very nice. Thanks for that! 'Til next adventure.

The Albert looks my kind of place. Just your average river canal cottages for oligarchs. Tiles all William Morriss looking, lovely. Careful on the steps, made me anxious, thank you for the wintry walk.

Your Snow day part of the video looks like just about the same amount we got here, yesterday. Just a dusting. Icy. Just under freezing temps. It's supposed to dump tonight, but I'll believe it when I see it. I totally get the umbrella and camera thing. Takes some talent! 😄 You're doing well. I'm having a difficult time keeping up my Fitbit steps with all our winter weather, but I try to hop on my treadmill and walk with you or other London walking videos when I can. It's fun.
