These podcasts are great, Mike--thanks for creating them! I can relate to your wanting to say things differently just because you've said them over and over. As a college instructor teaching multiple sections of the same course, I've felt that way. And I only had to say things three times this semester--saying it night after night in a different city every few days would probably drive me bonkers!
fantastic discussion of an album I've had on constantly since it came out... it was great to hear in depth information about something deeply ingrained into my psyche
I love how John can regurgitate the Mick Jagger bit to Mike in casual conversation exactly how he performs it live. I wonder if Mike knew that that whole conversation was already fully formed word for word by John lol
I've been binge watching standup specials and musical comedy and sketch comedy, just subscribed to this channel, I really like the insight, truly comedians are the best story tellers and I have stories to tell and I want to tell them well. I was told if I tell the truth and I dont make them laugh, they will kill me. Basically I'll bomb if I dont do it well. I'm entertaining the idea. I have ideas, I'm gonna start writing them down. Then organize the chaos into inspired Harmony calculative but generous while keeping interest and hilarity. But first I have to begin. Got to go buy some notebooks and pens. Also I read your book Lank Thompson's I'm a handsome man and I loved it. I'm a mestizo Indian is there a program for me? Phil Hartman rules
Like all through covid I was binge-watching comedy. Catching up on Decades of Mirth and merriment. I'm so full of piss I have to go make Festival. And Raise another as is standard. Cheers
Because we appreciate it. And from a purely business POV, releasing content across a diversity of platforms is a good way to increase exposure. Also because many ppl listen to UA-cam without watching the videos. Personally I prefer its interface to UA-cam music. And because blind ppl.
The only thing more enjoyable than listening to Mike's albums is listening to stories and insights about those albums from the man himself.

I consider Mike, Nick, and John as the three greatest minds of this generation. The Georgetown three.

This was so enjoyable to listen to. Thank you for the upload!
I love Mike and this was great. However, I couldn't tell who was speaking at any given moment.
I was about to disagree with you until I zoned out on the interview, and when I snapped back I genuinely did not know which one was speaking! HA!
Mike, your voice sounds soooooo different now (2024).

Is it weird that I watched the Rory Scovel special after this but still find the Birbiglia Mulaney version of the OJ joke funnier than the original?
Fuck yea

Why have only audio on a video site?
because it’s a podcast

And because blind ppl.
Because it's not just a video site. UA-cam is filled with audio uploads.
