◆I'm a Japanese train enthusiast and stayed in Europe for about a month this summer.
This time I got to visit many European countries and ride their unique trains.

Thank you for sharing your journeys, Kuga! I especially appreciate your gratitude for those little things that Europeans so often take for granted. (And your gentle humor as well, of course.) Thank you again.
The boy is called the Bumpman. He is made by Paloma Varga Weisz, a German artist who lives in Duesseldorf. It's said, that he relaxed and happy dreams about to travel and to foreign countries.
BRO ITS A TRAIN VIDEO NOT A HISTORY LESSON
I noticed you were polite about the train meal, but didn't say anything complimentary. Glad you found some food from home! Thank you as always.
In french you may say "à bientôt" which means see you soon or "au revoir" to say goodbye
Thanks for letting us tag along on your adventure! The captioning for this upload was excellent; funny and informative! 👍
As always 😊
Thank you, Kuga san
Thalys Premium seats are so comfy!
That for sharing cool have a safe fun time kanpai 🍻🤘☮️💟🍀😜🤟🦋
Oh yes. Düsseldorf has the largest Japanese community in Germany (maybe in Europe?). The food is amazing there and you can buy everything you need in the Japanese supermarkets. 👍👍
I think its the second largest in europe after london ..... but yeah the biggest in germany and always worth a visit
@@thaya_rees Percentage wise its way bigger tho
Quite a different looking train to your usual rides. That food looked " to die for " treats very simple dishes thst tantalised the tastebuds. Thanks for sharing. Budhyboy Oz.
It's 5 :00 am and now I'm so hungry! 😊
Who is that beautiful winged rose-colored fellow at the beginning of your video, center-screen, seen outside Gare du Nord? He’s shiny like copper, but the color of a sparkling rosé.
Man, do I miss Paris. I’m hoping to move there for good within 36 months, should my plans hold. Thanks for this glimpse of the city today!!
That meal near the end was enough for three people.
I was expecting a washroom of horrors, but it's just a typical travel bathroom 🤣 Even if it's not Japanese-tier, at least it's nice and clean haha.
Looks like another great trip, and you found Japanese food! 👍
Another great video!
ThanksMuch!
The little man on the roof of the Dusseldorf Central Station is an artwork by artist Paloma Varga Weisz. The German title is "Beulenmann" (Bubonic Man). The artist didn't reveal the meaning. The title leads in the direction of the bubonic plague disease. On the other hand, the guy looks too happy for being ill.
Nice ❤
Thank you Kuga for this video. I am sorry, I did not see any beef curry?!
Showing my age...I wonder how many people saw 'Cologne Cathedral' and went 'Now there's some dedicated Ranma 1/2 fans!' ;-) Yes, I know it (and the city) are unrelated. But still...
Great train ride 😮😮😮very cool journey 😎👌I'd like to ride that!
The train colors remind me of the Keikyu line in Yokosuka Japan
I love how important food is is all of your videos. Thank you again for another great trip, Kuga!!!!
"au revoir", mon ami....
Great trip. Ah yes, finally you try the Thalys, especially on the longest route, and yeah you try it before merged with Eurostar. Despite the restroom are out of order, but overall others are nice.
Very nice. Thank you.
When you were in Paris, did you find any (good) restaurant with food like you usually find in Japan?
Land! That last meal had my mouth watering...besides my love of Korean fried chicken, everything you had is on my favorite list...although to be honest, I adore EVERyTHING Japanese that is Food!!! :P
What is the difference between the Thalys and the Deutsche Bahn?
The Thalys is on time (and the coffee is way better). 🤣🤣
The 2 cities I've been with the train :P So I had to watch.
Thanks!
Thank you!!!🤝
Name of the train is TGV high speed french train Thalys is jus company that runs these trains
Thanks
Thanks, skygaz3r!🤝
I rode Thalys only twice between Cologne and Brussels: outbound in 2nd Class and inbound in 1st Class. Thalys is the worst train service I have ever ridden. Shockingly cramped seats in both classes. The German passengers who sat next to me told me how much they hated Thalys because of the seats. The horrendous 2nd Class seat with lack of legroom forced me to upgrade to 1st Class on the train home. Then, Deutsche Bahn started the Frankfurt-Brussels service with its ICE trainsets.
👏🤩💕
Have a question. Why, do nearly every European train trip, seem to have passenger's going backwards? Very few are facing way of travel. I would be ill.
Bester man. :)
I recall working at the, now demolished Ford Motor Company in Cologne and staying at the Hotel Dom very close to the Cathedral, a lovely city, with great people and really good food.
But their local beer is - with a considerable margin - the worst beer in Germany 🤮!
Que rico el bacalao!!!
Hi, thanks for sharing the video! Do you know if there is a passport control before we onboard the train? I want to make sure I a lot some time, but don't want to be too early just in case there is no passport check? Thank you in advance!
"Oliver"... > "Au revoir"
The first thing i see is the fact the exterior of our trains look dirty and used (passed colors, degraded stickers...).
Details are always neglected in my country.
Au revoir is goodbye in French. 🙂
I liked Oliver better 😂
@@paulthiel5145 😂 me too.
I'm guessing this was filmed on the summer when you were on vacation.
Yes , in the beginning of the video it says Aug, 2022😊
If you had doubts about this washroom, you have never experienced Eastern Europe train`s washroom 😂
Au revoir means goodbye
Kuga, have you ever wished you had a oxygen mask entering some of those bathrooms?
I like the Thalys but I prefer the newer Thalys Ruby which are replacing this old Thalys trainset because it is starting to show its age pretty badly. Some say that the new seat are not as comfortable as the old one shown here, but I found them to be plenty comfortable.
Oliver, XD.
Jocoso
its au revoir in french....
Now you notice the difference in standards between Japanese and European rail: seats are dusty and toilets do not function. In comparison, Japanese trains are always looking spotless clean.
I remember riding the Thalys First Class from Amsterdam to Paris back in 2017 and it was mediocre, nothing compared to the Japanese trains. Also...the food was horrible.
When I saw your face, I immediatly though you went to Japantag xD But the video is to old for that.
2:06 Oliver? au revoir = さようなら (Sayonara) So you are in Europe now leaving Japan unguarded? Well well well... Let's see then : We have arrived at Edo, we await your orders... Demand surrender... Hai! They have surrenderd to our superior forces! So there you go, Edo is ours now! 🎉🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺
Au revoir = Good bye
What do you mean 'it's blueeee, but it's better than nothing'? Of course sanitizing liquid is better than plain water
"Not sure why but 2 of 3 washrooms on board were out of order." French train, probably on strike.
Travel thousands of miles to eat food from your own country? Tsk tsk, Germany makes great food!...and I never considered soup a carb even with noodles!
Bomjour is goodbye in France😊
No...that's Hello. Au revoir is goodbye. And it's Bon Jour.
No sorry, it's au revoir 😉.
@@moogmike1 Bonjour is written as one word 😅 and means good day. Salut is hello...
Surprising old fashion (but useless) salad leafs on the plates... a way to forget the sense of details in european cooking.
Adieu
