I grew up in Lithonia / Redan / Stone Mtn area all my life until I was about 20, and went into the Navy...Haven't lived there since...that was about 1974-ish...things have changed quite a bit, but some things are still the same...all the buildings on Main Street, I could tell you what each one was back in the '60's and 70's...
I lived in Stone Mountain until 1979. @ .024 all the way to the right where the trees are is where I lived when my dad passed away. It was a brick house with the big picture window. You can't see the house from this shot, but I can see the trees that were in my front yard. I was 10 years old when I left Stone Mountain. If you turned around and went the other way on Ponce de Leon, my dad is buried at Mel Wood cemetery.
@claire sincere You will make more money if you are certified or degreed in something. Live outside in a area like Cobb County it's more affordable than downtown. Study people for some are scamming just like anywhere. Everybody is claiming they are in the entertainment industry. Just don't get caught up in the hype.
I grew up there since the age of 9 and lived there for about 21-22 years. I am glad to be out of that city. Not much to look forward to, and it seems to be getting worst year after year.
Theirs pyramids in Georgia as well as the world. Some countries recognize them except the Western culture. There's a narrative that has to be projected at all costs.
