    I was so excited to see that you'd been to Cornwall. Although I don't live there, I've been going there annually for about 15 years and the county holds a special place in my heart. I can't say that I truly know the county, but I do know it's beauty and have been blessed with the opportunity to experience it's rich and unique culture. So I'm always excited to see someone else discover it.

    The UK is really lovely when the sun is shining. There is a boat you can take from St Michael's Mount when the causeway is covered by water, I remember we walked across the causeway as the tide was down, spent time on the island and then caught the boat back to the mainland.

    Was going to list my top three locations but I found it simply to hard, Cornwall, Devon, Wiltshire, most of Wales, the Peak district, Yorkshire dales, East Anglia, Lake district, most of mainland Scotland, Scottish Isles, Shetland, Orkney, isle of man! Never mind places I have not been to yet Channel Isles, Northern Ireland etc! Yes there is a lot of fantastic places all around the world but for a relatively small set of Islands we do not do bad. My personal favourite draw is historical sites :)

    • @spark_6710
      @spark_6710 3 роки тому +1

      Why did you say too hard !? Just curious ! I am currently planning to visit Wales & England. I understand that it costs a lot to cover all !! Wanted to include Cornwall ,Devon & Scotland & Ireland ! But ,it's insanely expensive to do so for us !! Unless we visit everywhere just for a day ,or two !! LOLLOLLOL I still wanna include Italy & Hungary. Lol. It seems just a dream !! Although trips there can be done much cheaper !! Also ,noticed that the train systems in U.K. is not that great at all to go to countryside & rural areas !! It's so much less time & money if we go there from the capital cities ,though geologically closer cities should provide less traveling times & costs !! They don't !! Is this why ,you said too hard ?💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶

    • @magecraft2
      @magecraft2 3 роки тому

      @@spark_6710 Just that choosing between these was to hard between natural beauty to historical significance to both. Yes the train service is ok between cities but not to good outside of this. One advantage of the UK is it is relatively small so driving is not a bad option if you can.
      Do not get me wrong you can not go wrong with a trip based around London especially if you are into history and museums etc but there is so much more to the UK and Ireland!

Its a hidden gem, theres a waterfall like you mentioned with other places, but it also at low tide has proper full on caves to explore. Caves that go quite far and others that exit in a weird way, its amazing. Bossiney cove is my fave beach, but dont get caught at high tide, as the only path down to the beach gets flooded!! The way she said it means something completely different (ie someone who is very pale). There is only one way to say “pasty” in the culinary sense. Pasties are specific to Britain, so the word doesn’t exist in the other forms of English spoken around the world - unless they are referencing British culture and Cornish pasties in particular.

      @@spark_6710 Proper Cornish Pasties can only be made in Cornwall. Though there is an export trade to other parts of the United Kingdom.
      Having lived for some years you pick up bits of knowledge along the way. :)

    Did you stop in Devon at all? I'm near Torquay, might help if you get a wind shield for your cameras mic or a lapel mic to plug in. Another alternative is a sound recorder like a zoom that you can plug mics into for better sound when outside. Nice video other than that though hope you enjoyed cornwall 🙂

    I actually prefer it's neighbour Devon. South Devon has nicer beaches and is just lovely all round and North Devon is more wild, remote and a bit more like Cornwall but Devon is definitely one of my favourite places in the UK.

    Invest in a "Dead Cat" for your microphone for outdoors. A "dead cat" is one of those big grey fluffy microphone covers you see on microphones. They are not expensive and do a great job.
