Song: “El Paso Bolero” By Roy Edwin Williams
Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"! - Розваги
Ford and Hudson are two different car companies. That is a 1951 Ford custom.
Thank You.
It’s a 49 with a 51 front end
Definitely GOLD at the end of that rainbow.
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in multiple locations, especially the Heritage Units, water truck collision, and so much more, I like them, they're awesome, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much.
I have to admire that CSX varnish - it just looks better than the rest!
Love the two recent musical endings performed by Roy Edwin Williams. Incredibly beautiful. I hope you use more of his tunes in future Grab Bags ♥👍
I just have to give a shout out to your mad editing skills! This time it was the way the train appeared just as that Duane Eddy guitar came in and then the way the train disappeared just as the music ended--and the tune and the footage were both great. Bravo and thank you!
Happy Thursday VR Friends🚂🚃👋🏻
Love the rainbow over the coal train
That was a "whol" lot of coal.... 😉🙃🤣
No complaints no suggestions. Like your videos.
Great videos, of fantastic trains and landscapes.🎥👍👍😍
Good to catch RSSX 4549 GP9 and later FRMX 1603 GP10, thanks VRF. Also, the Freight Roster Rarities, including the OMYA covered Hopper and especially at Deshler, the 'Grace Davison' Hopper. I've built-up a Train of Athearn B/Box ACF 'Grace' models, because I like the livery, so now I am ok to run them on my Layout.
No I think 4549 is a gp8
@@K.S.V_railway GP8? is that some kind of derated GP9? 'cause EMD never had a GP8.
Yes it is originally gp9s derated and rebuilt as GP8s
Hey virtual railfan!, I was thinking, sometime in the future. Could you build a railcam in Huron,Ohio. It is near the Sandusky sub. A lot of trains go by there!. NS, CN, And UP, AND BNSF Go through there. It’s mostly NS and BNSF and up. I would love to see a railcam for there!
6:28 now that's my type of trucking! 😁
Yeah, I find those Trains and Trucks amazing to see. We have nothing like them in the UK.
Hi Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
Always a lot of great trains, trainfans, train tracks and crossings
and yeah even some Darwins too.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
I come here for the trains but it’s nice to see stuff nearby like the barge being cleared in Iowa. Nice job.
That CSX train in LaGrange looked pretty sweet. Clean and shiny!
Another W vid from the folks at virtual railfan 🙂↔️🙂↔️
3:08 UP 1982 and Ex-CSX
Great video!
YAAAH!
3:24 Saw PRLX 4685 in Alamosa CO while on vacation 2 years ago. Found out later Athearn made it in HO scale so I got it.
Poor ole Amtrak.
13:01 Great spot for rail watching now I know why it is one of the most watched on Virtual Railfan!
0:41 Amtrak 300 really needs a fixed in Siemens
or Beech Grove Indiana, where they have a large facility for equipment, and motive power.
@@thephantomeagle2 If a repair is ever planned it will probably go to Siemens since the Chargers are still new. Haven't really seen Chargers go to Beech Grove for anything and I assume that's because they're still need to get a Charger up there to do trainings on. In fact this may be why 300 has never been repair yet, or the front is just beyond repair? But most of it seems to be damage to the nose. Don't know.
@@MrMarshmallow26 the 300 was retired due to extensive damage over and above the obvious sheet metal. According to verifiable VRF sources there is not restoration plan in place.
@@3RTracing Yeah I figured. Damage was beyond repair, was just interesting to see it on the move.
@@3RTracing I’m an Amtrak employee and you are very incorrect. If it were retired due to damage it wouldn’t not be moving on its own wheels; It would either be on a flat car, a truck, or it would have been cut up in LA.
The stated plan, whether or not this timeline is realistic, is to have both 300 and 302 repaired and in service by the end of October 2024. Both units will be repaired by a contractor in the Chicago area who has been repairing wrecked state units for the past few years.
Thanks for the ident on FMRX 1603. I saw that unit, or one very like it, go by my house two days in a row, north towards Hamlet one day, then south towards Florence the next, but have no gas for train chasing this week.
Surprised you all didn't include Amtrak 3, going the wrong way EASTBOUND back to Chicago, after getting stuck behind that derailment in Dodge City, KS on the night of May 14/15. Ran back to Chicago as BNSF A 10031 15X.
@5:21 The C44-9W has a K5LLA
To the driver of the Ford Hudson👋👍🏻🚘
Did Earl Shieb get a hold on the construction equipment? I see they painted the tires.😂😂
10:50 ah, that answers one question I had, did anyone have to go underwater to attach things to the barge. Bet visibility is terrible in the muddy water though!
15:02 - K&O Engine numbers 4034 & 4035 together.
That is NOT a Hudson. Hudson was its own company. This is an early 50's Ford
Thanks!

Stopping kids from saying first.
Just ignore them, drawing attention solves nothing. Who knows, one day they might contribute or help educate others.
You have done the world a favor, and have earned my respect. Like this guy’s comment if you agree
I report them. It's way more effective. They have to learn there's a right time and place, and YT isn't it.
Ah, you are referring to those who expend great effort for no real worthy purpose?
1st to say I'm not 1st to agree with your comment after 4 other people commented on your comment.
Glad to see 300 being at least moved- there were some reports it was a total loss.
I was aboard the Coast Starlight that day. For anyone unaware, several cars derailed, possibly all- I didn’t get a chance to see the last couple of sleepers. I was in the first coach behind the baggage car. Not a fun experience.
My impression was the truck driver must have pulled out in front of us, as there was no frantic horn blowing nor noticeable brake application. If we did go into emergency, it couldn’t have been more than a couple of seconds before we hit. The truck driver survived, only he and one other person on the train had to be admitted to a hospital. I broke a fingernail.
So glad that you are okay, but true: not fun.
So they got the barge that sank
I like the Lackawanna one
I do too. Do you know what the "Radio" on the side means? Is it a retro holdover from when not every engine was radio-equipped?
15:45 What are those blue things on the rails?
Also: Really good music at the end.

The truck has to move off the tracks
The🌈topped it off🫶🏻
Nice video, monster doubled up coal train with distributed power in Kearney!🛤🚂
What with all the private passenger cars. I saw a Union Pacific passenger trail in the Portland Oregon yard. Are they to move the executives?
Actually, they are most commonly privately owned. Those owners then pay Amtrak to tack them onto the end of trains when they wish to go somewhere in them.
6:18 I saw her in philly
Where is that ALC42 headed?
I was wondering how they got those cranes on the back of the gondola
Around 8:11, is that black thing near the track on the right side at the bend an animal lying down?
tumbleweed
Going to be awhile before Amtrak 300 is on the rails.
I wonder how much heavier that coal train gets when it's raining,,,,at least until it starts to drain out (Can it drain out?).
Also, that's what a military train should sound like! Turn it UP!
Any new locations coming soon
Coastal?
I was wondering what happened to 300...the answer, not much
Where the water truck collision? Look3d all through the video.
Where is ALC-42 300 being toad to on BNSF railway hopefully its going to be fixed
"Coast" Starlight. More reason you need more cams out West
Is that the same guy on the Bicycle every time
I thought that also, looks the same to me
2:26 - 2:37; RSSX?
Rail Switching Services
wasn't the 300 retired?
At 7:20, seeing this windmill train put me in mind of an item I read in last week's *Economist* magazine: the largest windmill blades are now becoming too large to transport by rail or other ground transport. People are working on new technology that would essentially construct them in place, using a monster 3-D printer, as well as other far-out technologies. Boggles the mind...
Oh wow! Thanks for the info!
Waste of time and money.
"Coast Starlight", not "Coastal Starlight".
Actually the red car is NOT a "Ford Hudson" it is a 1951 Ford. Let's hope they leave it stock and don't ruin it by turning it into a hot rod!
You misspelled Coast Starlight Express
Not to be that guy…but it’s COAST starlight not coastal starlight
That boy driving the red car looked awful young to be driving?😮
First! 👍
Who cares
Did anyone count how many coal cars went buy?
That train must have been 4 miles long or more
254 cars.
First to be ninth
Who cares
First, first first🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

Where can i pin you?
A man in a dress. As a woman I found that offensive. He wears what I am as a costume.🤬
gibberish
How rude do you have to be to dismiss someone's feelings as "gibberish", I wonder.
