@@2fmrc lol, yeah time is the thing. I'll look at doing a video on it when it's much closer to completion. I just need to grab more materials. It's my first time building a track, so doing videos would take up more time during the build.
You hit the nail on the head I do believe we're all wrapped up in building the latest and greatest instead of just having fun I know I really had conviction in my heart today and putting the stuff in the way of other stuff that is way more important
I absolutely love your content man and never feel pressured to stick to some kind of set style of video, the free-form is sometimes where it's at! Such a great course you can get so many ideas from this, looking forward to the next one with the bridge in the future.
Really appreciate that! I definitely think I’m going to mix up the video style some. Just to change things up a bit. Maybe more stock truck testing etc vs all of the custom builds. It’s just a lot of wrenching!
It’s looking awesome! I enjoy all of your content , and honesty. You’ve inspired me to get back into crawling and now I’m waiting on parts to arrive to put my crawler together. Thank you for bringing out the kid in me again!
Pretty sick track i built mine and my sons on a small garden bed and we just build with sifted dirt it hardens pretty good and once it rains it starts to fall apart and we get to build off the ruts and lil water holes pretty neat
Thank you so much for sharing this. I have been postponing of domain one myself but but I'm gonna give it a try this summer. Once again thank you so much and enjoy the life of crawling
Appreciate it! I just always put pressure on myself with anything. Always wanna do my best and gotta learn to chill now and then lol. Hope you have a great summer as well!
Matt you popped up on my feed , and im very glad you did, very much enjoyed this vid, im veey new to all of this amd plan on getting a mini rock crawler as it rains a hell of alot here in Wales in the uk , keep up the vids , take care and happy new year to you and youres ,
I moved to a new home last year where I have several acres of land, but it's pretty flat. I haven't been able to mess with my RC's for the past year, due to the move and settling in, and have even considered quitting the hobby altogether, but I decided the past week to try and build some sort of rock course. The soil on our property is actually loaded with rock, so it shouldn't be hard to source what I need, with a shovel and a little labor. I don't know if I'll do any concrete, but it looks good.
Thanks for sharing a close up of your course.....I started mine yesterday. Built a suspension bridge with 1 ramp up so far. I have to finish the other drop side. Bought some rock as well to setup. Unfortunately I can't use concrete on mine, wife wouldn't be too happy....lol.....Crawler On Dude!!!!...✌️✌️
Great video! Makes me want to build more!! I know I was so disappointed that most of my video was lost because the camera kept overheating. It was well over 100 when I built mine. Lol. Sure appreciate you, brother! Hope you have a great day.
Baking soda works great to give nice greyish-white peaks to the rocks. I use it on the taller parts of my mountain course to look like snow or if you brush it into the quick crete it looks like a grey rock.
I absolutely love the look of your course! I've been wanting to put together something similar in my backyard but I haven't had time. Unfortunately it'll be getting hot outside again soon.
Do what makes you happy buddy. If that's not good enough for someone, too bad. There's plenty of people who will bullshit the viewer very few willing to tell it like it really is. Keep up the good work we appreciate the time effort and cubic dollars it requires
Thanks for the inspiration that you just happened to get from someone else. But that's the point, passing it on and sharing. Did you hook up the gentleman last week that was a cancer survivor?
I’m working on that. I got an email from him and I’m about to get back with him and get his address. I was trying to work out something cool but at the least I have an extra truck I’m gonna send his way 🤘
@@AW-yv9sq yeah that’s one reason I did so much concrete in with mine. To keep grass out and the dirt from just washing away lol. Gonna start on another section soon that will include more dirt probably but these original sections have been a blast and a great spot to test trucks!
I prefer outdoor courses I rearrange mine quite often. Also do you still have your old hard body Toyota 24 I would like to see that thing make a return to the channel. That is still one of my favorite rigs of yours. Loved the video, keep up the good work!
Yeah it’s not really the views. Just hate to say no to anyone on making vids. Then I get rushed to get everything done. Gonna start doing what I wanna do for awhile and just tell some of these companies I’ll pass lol
Cool video, I love how this hobby combines mechanical stuff with creative and artistic stuff. I look forward to seeing more. How thick do you make the concrete on the course as far as depth in inches? I wonder how thick it would need to be if you poured it over compacted dirt so it would be strong enough to step on if you needed to.
I would say mine is around 2-3 inches thick in most places around the bottom. I stand on quite a bit of mine. It’s thicker toward the bottom for sure. I mostly wanted to make sure I didn’t get too many weeds in mine so I kept it fairly thick. Towards the top I basically just covered the dirt with an inch or so though.
You need both lines otherwise you don't know the difference between not so good and amazing..... your farm is pristine well maintained mine is all rugged bush
Im building a crawler track myself. Glad i found the video.
Nice! Keep me updated on how it goes! I’m about to expand mine some more soon. Just gotta find the time lol

I wanted to do a crawler track but figured it would get washed out all the time. I’d probably have to cover it unless it was all rock or concrete

That’s my goal! Haha!
If you have sand, they will come 😅🐱
