I always love your viewpoint on feminism, it’s all about giving women options to do WHATEVER they want in life, even if it may seem “old fashioned” it’s not for everyone and that’s ok. Also congrats on your certification!

Sapphire Edwards i completely agree! People are so polarized on this topic, but I think there’s both truth to it and problems with the modern expression of it. Anna clearly believes in the powerful independent women but still sees tradition in a positive light and I feel the same way 100%

Sapphire Edwards It’s about choice. Having good manners and grace means we have more choices. There is no one way to be a woman, but understanding and the power of etiquette, charm, and looking and feeling confident and polished helps us all to be the best at whatever we choose.

I like the idea of finishing schools, but I think that they should include life paths for the modern woman. So I would like to see finishing school include business etiquette, appropriate professional apparel, and networking with the elite to elevate your career. There's nothing wrong with finishing school to attract a good man (or woman), but I'd like to see more balance.

International etiquette and protocol, should be part of all women’s learning journey. After all, how can you manage a home staff or entertain without knowing how it’s properly done, first. Congratulations! This is more proof of how serious you are about teaching and helping others🙂

Great video! My grandmother attended a Swiss finishing school back in the day, in the 1930s. A lot has changed in society since then. It is refreshing to hear that there are still people out there who care about protocol and etiquette. I like your channel!

@@MissAllaCinderella oh please! I'm 47 years old and I don't feel I'm old at all. You are super young compared to me.
      So girl...
Age does not define you and me.
And you are right. It's never too late.
I don't know if you have seen comments on Anna's videos from women who are 74, 79 and one super sweet who is 89. They are super inspiring. They say they are learning a lot and still will find themselves a rich husband. Isn't that awesome?
I actually happen to have gone to this very beautiful luxurious wedding, the bride and the groom were both 75 years "young", as they preferred to say, and it was such an amazing experience. She found a man to provide for her and to look after her. She was not embarrassed at all to say, (on her ladies's dinner party 1 day before her wedding), she had finally found a VERY rich man and that her 2 previous husbands, (she is a widower, her 1st husband, and divorced her 2nd), were not what she had dreamt for herself. (I felt so honored to have been invited for that).
She looks 20 years younger than she actually is, she's such a beautiful, educated, polite and classy woman.
So, my point by sharing all that with you is: If she is 75 years old and found someone, that means we will eventually find as well...
      Lots of love.
      God bless .

mariam ali I’ll give you a list of things that I’ve noticed contributed in my success dating.
      1. I’m sorry but looks, looking cute or sexy all the time. Nails done, hair done, nice body. It’s the first thing men notice about you.
      2. Being nice, smile often and keep eye contact.
      3. Standing tall and confident. This makes guys flaunt over me because they think I’m something really special.
      4. Sometimes you have to start the conversation. For example, if you’re at a bar “what drink do you recommend, this is my first time here”.
      5. Stay away from areas with low class men. They have no respect and nothing to offer. They try to use compliments as a reason to get in your pant. Say thank you and keep it moving always.
      6. Be very kind, but don’t be too available.
      7. Have hobbies and interests of your own because he WILL ask. The more interesting you are, the more valuable you are to him.
      8. Let him be the man. He wants to spend money on you and treat you like a princess, tell him you appreciate it and he will do it more often.
      9. Build a strong foundation for yourself because it makes it seem like you’re less available. Go to school, start a business, take care of yourself.
      10. Speak softly.

    • @maddiemadness0
      @maddiemadness0 5 років тому +15

So Bo Men only cheat on women they don’t feel lucky to be with. And most men cheat broke or not at some point anyway. May as well have a rich cheating man who can pay for his mistakes rather than a broke one.

    • @maddiemadness0
      @maddiemadness0 5 років тому +15

mariam ali key thing in not attracting broke men.... look and act like they would have no chance with you if they tried talking to you. If you look “high maintenance” and very well put together, those guys will just keep to themselves cause they know you wouldn’t give them the time of day anyway

Ms. Bey, I cannot stress how endangered a species the elegant lady actually is. Thank you forhelping to save the elegant lady from extinction! Some naive people do not understand that you teach an effective form of true feminine freedom. There is not just one version of a modern, sophisticated woman. Being a lady, someone who makes all who surround her feel comfortable, someone who makes a party seem effortless, someone who chooses eloquence over vulgarity, what a rarity these days. Really, etiquette and manners are the true currency of the future! Congratulations on your incredible experience, and your certification. I hope women of all ages understand the discipline and challenges (as well as the great rewards) of cultivating one's most refined self, and take your course.

Sharing your journey alone gives us, your audience, value because you break the berriers and create a leveled field for anyone to access and practice etiquette. Respectable people understand that particular private schools and other facilities are selective/private but you grant us the tools to become the type of women high society wishes to work with thus opening the doors of equality. Thank You.

The idea of Finishing School is intriguing. I am 2 weeks shy of 42, but I love learning all of this. Here’s why: When I was in 6th grade (US system of school), my mother found some antique books from 1904 (I think) that were basically How To Be A Proper Woman. I was so into My Fair Lady and American Girl (Pleasant Company)’S Samantha doll.
I had a lot of progress that summer. My handwriting improved and my confidence was bolstered. Only to have it knocked out from under me in 7th grade.
I have always wondered how I would have handled my life differently if I had been encouraged and nurtured in my path to womanhood.
Now as a mom of twin girls who are also 7th graders, I want to give them this foundation. So thank you, Anna, for this.

Well done Anna for putting your money where you mouth is and going to the school and learning how to do it all properly! I found this very interesting. Sometimes I see how younger people conduct themselves, especially at table; they don't even know how to hold a knife and fork properly. I was taught by nuns and they were very strict, no slouching, no elbows on the table, forks go prong down (they aren't shovels) and you don't hold your knife like a pencil, etc. etc. How times have changed but its nice to know some people still have standards. Can't wait for your upcoming videos.

Now I found your youtube channel and I’ve found out myself and the way I am is okay, and I feel not only that other people like you have the same view at certain tropics but I can learn more about other things, and feeling so proud about it. I’m finally understanding myself at my 24’s. Thank you Anna for all the inspiring work that you do. ♥️

Anna, it will be perfect to see your videos about etiquette and about good behavior. Maybe not only in high society but in general. Personaly, I think that etiquette should be part of daily life. Even in office, meetings, night out etc.

I enjoyed hearing about your Swiss finishing school experience. I just did something similar. I'm a musician and it was an intensive, week-long residential workshop on medieval music (my specialty). I so relate to your feelings that it was exciting, challenging, a beautiful but isolated location (mine too!), but occasionally a bit overwhelming in terms of long long hours of study & practice! Yay - we both survived!!

So very proud of you. School is never out for the professional. I can remember having a similar opportunity as a very young lady. It was a prerequisite if one wanted to attend tea dances at the US Naval Academy, or maintain oneself at hunt club balls etc. You must have so enjoyed this once in a lifetime event.

Congratulations. I appreciate you being genuine. I like the balance of feminism and old fashioned values. It’s not good to be poor and miserable, but it’s also not good to be so privileged that entitlement is a person’s core values. Depends on the social situations and in the context of things, there’s a time to be assertive, and there’s a time to be humble. I love being a woman!

How wonderful an experience. I collect vintage etiquette books and love reading about how ladies lived elegantly in earlier times. My favorite class at my all girls high school in New Orleans was Charm and Deportment. I never use geometry but I use what I learned in Charm class everyday.

It's super difficult juggling everyday commitments while still making yourself available to friends and family so to add working towards a diploma on top of it all and achieving it is impressive, I'm so excited to learn more, looking forward to the videos ahead, I know there will be gems of guidance and advice in them

My great grandmother who emigrated from Sweden, attended a finishing school before she came to the US. I have heard about this all my life. I wish I knew more about her but she lived in the 19th century and passed away when my dad was four years old, in 1943. I have seen a few pictures of her and I am fascinated by her and so curious about her. She was an accomplished, determined, and intentional woman for her time. My grandmother married young (at 16, which was common then) and my grandfather was older and established to be able to marry. My grandmother moved into this family's home and her mother-in-law, my great grandmother, taught her everything she knew in order to run a household. My mother always said that my grandmother, my mother's mother-in-law, was the best cook she ever knew. She practiced the Swedish way of how she was taught to buy the very best, then make it last. My grandmother always had a pristine tidy and elegant home. By the way, my great grandmother's name was Anna. I have always loved that name because of her. I wonder many times throughout life if I live in a way that she would approve. She had very high standards.

Dear Anna, I am glad you read my comment and you enjoyed it. You have so many subscribers and videos with countless comments, and this was an old video too. I am a new subscriber to your channel and find it refreshing to find someone young as you who practices the wisdom in old proven ways of how women and men will always be what we are made to be. I have 4 young grown children, with my two daughters being ages 20 and 18. I would love to send my daughters to this school. My oldest is a professional ballerina and travels internationally but is home now during this shelter in place time because it has shut down all performances. My 18 year old has a new relationship with an accomplished young man of her age who has an exciting future ahead of him with soon attending the top university of his life long plans. The things my husband and I tell her how to handle situations sound like many you say as well. I am thankful she listens to us because what I advise her seems completely opposite from how other girls her age handle new relationship situations! I know you can relate to that, and it is the basis of the success of your channel. I share your videos with my girls. I have seen wonderfully surprising incidents emerge from my 20 year old since she has returned home this last time, and I am so proud of her incorporating these smart practices during her time away on her own. All these things will serve her well through life.
I did get a little off topic, going from past to youngest generations in my family, but in all that, to let you know how much it means to know you practice what you share, as you do notice comments from your subscribers, even from old videos. Graciousness does matter and takes various forms. I will continue to explore your videos. There are many things I appreciate about you, and the first impression is your personal presentation. I share with my family (yes even my dear husband) that this is our image to the world in how they define us. You define yourself in dignity and beauty. Other ladies can take note by you that both can be accomplished together well!
Bless you, dear Anna, and I continue to look forward to your videos.

I understand and respect that you didn't / couldn't mention where you went to school. Yet you say you are a business woman who thinks networking is important. To me the fact that you are not mentioning the name of the school sounds more like a 'missed opportunity' on both sides. Through your videos your could promote the school. The school in turn would gain more devotees interested and anxious to learn at their academy. Although, I do not own a business like you Ana, I have always been taught that the highest compliment you could ever pay a business is to refer them to others. Not a criticism just food for thought.
No matter what I still love your videos and gain great value and insight from watching. Thank you as always for sharing.
