I used to consider myself a third-wave feminist. This was when I was under the impression that "feminism was just about gender equality." But, the more I studied what feminist professors teach and what feminist groups do, I realized third--wave feminism was a hate movement masquerading as an equality movement. My doubts on feminism started when I was told lies about myself. I was told that my gender and my magical skin color would protect me from certain things that I would never have to experience. They told me I would never have to experience sexual assault (even though I'd already had). They told me I wouldn't have to worry about being physically assaulted (even though I'd gone through more domestic violence than all of the other women in the room, combined). They told me I don't have to be fearful while walking down the street alone at night (even though my history of abuse made me scared shitless to walk alone at night.) When I tried to tell my fellow feminists about my history of sexual and physical violence, you know what they told me? "Stop talking. Stop making this about you. Check your privilege. What men go through is NOTHING compared to women." That's when I learned they don't truly care about gender equality. Then, they told me that I should be considered a potential rapist because of the "toxic masculinity" theory, despite the fact that I know I would never do that. They also told me I was raised to be violent and abusive... which I wasn't. They were literally lying about me to my face. After that, I learned that feminist groups actively advocate against divorced fathers having equal custody and visitation with their kids. I learned that feminist groups actually pushed for a system that throws male victims of domestic violence in jail if their wife or girlfriend is beating them. (It's called The Duluth Model.) I learned feminists fight to strip funding away from domestic violence shelters that cater to men. Plus, they protest outside of lectures addressing male suicide. Seriously, they're against any discussion of preventing men from killing themselves. Then, I noticed the feminist poetry slams, and HOLY SHIT, are they filled with hatred. They'll openly talk about killing men or mutilating their genitals, and the women in the audience cheer in thunderous applause. I see you as an equal, but, there is NO WAY IN HELL I will support a movement that wants to strip me of my children, throw me in jail if I'm being abused, and, in general, doesn't care if I live or die. I've said this on other videos, and I'll say it here... Feminists want me to hate myself, and I refuse to do that any more.

They were wrong for telling you to stop making it about you and everything but that is no reason for you to now hate feminism because of a couple of bad experiences.
I love You Egalitarians fight for equality my friend, NOT feminists. Feminism WAS a just movement that was created to boost women to the same standards of men. It was successful too because people know that equality was only fair. And if anyone fuckin says pay is different still, then you are a fucking moron. All you have to do it look at wages for men and women doing the same jobs and it'll be the same dollars per hour. The difference comes from women taking more leave to become a mother for example. That brings down the overall women's average, but that cannot be helped. Men and women make same per hour and the original feminists fought for that and achieved a major feat. Modern day feminists bring absolute shame to the ideology because they have twisted its purpose and included so many falsehoods to build work from. Hopefully, we can see real feminists come back and work for boosting women in places that need it like the Middle East, not New York and fucking California where they have 1st world problems. But a great first step would be to understand that feminism is based around the root of feminine for a reason. Egalitarian is pure true equality.
