Let me know in the poll in the video if you had the same reaction to the barium smoothie prep for your CT scan! Or let me know here 👇🏼 if you had a different reaction.
No I didn’t have a bad reaction to the barium. Though my scan only required one 450 ml drink of a substance that was more like water than a smoothie. Also I hadn’t had my ileostomy reversed at the time so that might explain it.

I was wondering, I've had several CT scans and I've never had to drink anything they did the dye through my Iv, when you get your scans are they scanning your whole body, I've just had scans of my stomach and pelvis, I've also had colon cancer
I asked the CT scan tech at my cancer center about drinking the barium vs. not, and they said it was all about the preference of the radiologist that would read the scan. I’ve had both abdomen and pelvis scanned, and pelvis to chest scanned.
So glad for your results 🙏🙏 🙏 thank you for sharing
Thank you! So am I :-)

I've never had a CT scan, but if I had to drink all of that stuff, it would just go straight through me 🤣
Well that’s basically what happened to me 😂😬
