Good morning Sophia. Raised garden beds are the way to go. Many of my friends and I who are older have been going to them. Love your blue hat! 💙 Now I'll be quiet and watch!🌻
I love your garden!! It’s an inspiration to me as I am also a gardener and UA-cam creator like you! I wish you a happy harvest! I still have so much to learn and I appreciate your tips, tricks! Please Keep sharing! I would love to learn more about gardening from each other.
My back hurt the whole time I was watching you! Whew. That is a lot of work but it's one and done and will be there forever. I am happy to see the Return of the Purple Hat! And I can hardly wait to sign up on Patreon tomorrow! Hugs! 💕
I have a good friend who has dogs who share her limited yard space and LOVES these so the doggos aren’t tempted to dig. Creates nice space divisions too. 🥰
I’ve had my dad make me 5 raised garden beds in wood. I have a terrible back and gardening in a ground level yard is terrible for me. They are going on their 4th summer now and I just love them 🥰.
Hi Sophia, I have a raised garden bed that is very similar (different brand as I'm in Australia). I found a "bit" for the end of my power drill that will work on those "nuts". I haven't tested it yet but imagine it would make the job much easier. The company should/could consider distributing it with a bit instead of the wrench, I imagine the price is comparable. Thanks for the show. Cheers
I bought a small greenhouse this year and I have loved it. My son put it on dollies so I can roll it back into our garage on windy days. One day it was out and half of the greenhouse was tipping everything off of the shelves! I learned to stay on top of it after that! Too windy in South Dakota! I love my greenhouse. My garden beds are stock tanks. Some very old and some new.
Very nice. I'm 67 now and have back issues so a raised bed is a must. I do the square foot gardening You can get a lot of vegetables in a rsised bed planting that way. I my self would not put wood or bark in the bottom. I think it wicks whe water from the top. Your back yard looks amazing
But it will help it compost faster too. In about 3 years that soil will be amazing. I am already grabbing worms here and there to speed things up and aerate.
My husband and I put 4-8x4 raised beds together one weekend and honestly we were wiped out the next day!!!! They are exhausting but it’s so nice to be able to weed without bending or getting on my knees!!! Hope you love it!
I am in a condo, so my gardening is limited to pots of flowers and veggies. It is well worth it to enjoy the plants growing, then harvesting. I have tomatoes a mixed salad bowl and zucchini plants at the moment. As well as, many beautiful flower baskets my adult children gift me for Mother''s Day.
I have a couple of such raised beds, and I love them as a solution for the rocky soil in my yard (in the mountains). I need to use a digging bar to plant any shrub or tree, so the raised beds give me the option of growing an herb and a veggie garden without the painstaking effort of using the specialized tools.
You can cage them or trellis them. Some people actually tie the stem to a stick and keep tying it as it grows so instead of being on the ground and the leaves taking a huge space it grows up in the air. The zuchs just hang from it. It s supposedly better to avoid bore, mildew etc.
I wonder if you could use that as a winter garden cold frame? Look fantastic! Great Job You will need at least 18 in for root depth some say more for squash,
I have had raised beds for a few years now. One piece of advice: do NOT put zucchini in a raised bed!!! If they are anything like mine they will take over the whole thing.
Remember this is for quick pick me ups not a full house deep clean vacuum. 👌 I hope you like it. We jave been using ours everyday along baseboards to grab the pet hair.

The dollie idea is genius

Have enjoyed watching you for years. Especially your cooking and projects. Sure hope you don't leave utube
I am not. No worries

It s definitely a lot of work to put it together but then it s all fun!
Definitely not for older folks like me. Looks very nice.🌺🌸🌺🌸
I love hearing your neighbors kids playing outside. I'm going to have check into the raised bed, it looked really nice.
We are actually watching them growing from pregnancy through. The oldest is 6. Both girls and they are super cute.

Mine is clay heavy so also not ideal.
Very nice! I hope the plants take and you get some nice veggies. It looks like a 2 or 3 day project, but the end results look fabulous! 😊👍🪴🪴🪴
So far so good. New dark green leaves on the zuchs.
I love what you put on the bottom. I put cardboard in mine. I don’t know if it was good, but it worked.
It works.
The Beagle 🤣💙
I do raised beds so my 89 year old mom can be involved in gardening
What a perfect spot for it! You 'll have to take a picture from your deck and post on Facebook so we can see what it looks like.
I used recyclable in the bottom of my stock tank. Plastic, cans, etc. the tank is deeper. Works great. Looks great what you are doing.
The drawback to adding plastics etc is they will leach into the soil.
Looks great! I could hire a teen boy to assemble and fill with soil!😊
Really great idea! I will look into this for sure.
We have the same loud 4 year-old neighbor LOL she's a screamer too.
Nice work! It looks really nice!
I want to do something similar with a stock tank but then make a wicking system (self watering) but I just don’t have the energy for that right now! 🤪
Your sun hat is the cutest on you!!!!!!!! 🌹
I have had it for ages. It does the job.
thats beautiful!!!
That is really nice! I look forward to seeing how your veggies grow. I’ve never heard of growing zucchini vertically.

Nice job!🌞

I am thinking about it and add a hoop to it.
My mother was an excellent gardener She could grow anything
My mom is too. Her Paris garden is small but every inch counts. She even grows potatoes in there.
Looks great. Should keep your fur baby out for sure.
I hope so. He ll eat anything that resembles or smells like food.
I would have soaked all the dirt then added the plants.
I have had raised beds for a few years now. One piece of advice: do NOT put zucchini in a raised bed!!! If they are anything like mine they will take over the whole thing.
I am going to try growing them vertically. I have seen people do it successfully. Will keep you updated.
Hi Sophia, I ordered the vac in blue. I had a $60 cr w Amazon. I’m so excited. Thankyou
