Your experience with your son matches 100% mine with my son. We played the French version over the Christmas holidays and we were trying really hard not to do them all in a single day. It was truly an AMAZING experience! I even see my son open the box from time to time to redo a puzzle on his own. When the next box comes out, it is an auto-buy.
Between this one and 'Kids' Chronicles' I just need the kids' version of micromacro crime city and I'll be finally at one with the universe as a parent. (not an easier version - a version where the cases aren't about physical harm)
The new printing of the original micromacro and the second micromacro have a rating that show if the content is more or less family friendly. Your mileage may vary, each person's tolerance is unique.
@@quavuva 85% is about murder and physical harm... It is an amazing game for well under-10-year olds had it not been for that. The promotional case called 'Baby Party' demonstrates how amazing this game can be for kids, but really, most people don't want to explain the concepts of murder, assault or suicide to their 6-10 year olds which exist in just about all other cases, and those 6-10 year olds can do 'baby party' without any real problem. And again, I don't need an easier version as much as a version that's not about crimes (except theft that is 'pallatable' because itbdoesn't involve physical harm)
I rarely pick up new games on the basis of a single review... but I think I'll be making an exception for this one. I hadn't planned on buying this after initially hearing about it but so great to hear the enthusiasm for it!
Great review, thanks so much. I really want to introduce my 6 yo nephew to board/card games so that he would give Minecraft and Roblox a break =D. He really needs something engaging and I think the stories, the images that come together between the cards and items, and clues, would give him that engagement. I have a question, altogether how many different stories/scenarios are there and are they re-playable enough after you go through all of them? Thank you again!

I am getting these for my nieses and nephews.
Is it suitable for 11y/o 6 graders?
Do you recommend this one for adults who have already played all of the Unlock! series?
No. It's for kids!
