Its important to realise you can't please everyone, if she suddenly was quiet and no longer energetic her audience would miss that about her

She can, potentially, be a better version of herself; but there will be some people who dislike her core appeal. If she tries to change her core appeal, not only were her audience miss it she might become a worse version of other stars.
There is no one perfect anything, only perfect versions of different types.

Seriously tho. There's nothing wrong with disliking someone's voice but it irritates me to no end that Subaru *apologizes* about it and talks about "curing" it like it's some sort of objective *flaw* or something... Like no, her voice is good just as is it.
I think her voice is unique and cute and it's honestly one of the reasons I became interested in watching her. It's all about preferences, there's no need to start changing random stuff like your voice just to appeal to wider audience.
Maybe it's just the japanese culture of being really polite. Like really really polite. For example in Twitter, they would excuse themselves to comment on something because they don't follow each other so politely. They say it like "Excuse me for commenting even we aren't following each other". It might be the polite culture that they have.
There is no cure for Subaru because she is the cure.

That the subtitles described Subaur's laugher as "Maniacal" in place of "Joyful cackling" makes me think some teasing is happening.

I don't watch subaru much besides these clips but the one thing I absolutely treasure is her laugh. I adore her laugh. When subaru laughs you can feel the joy and energy and I absolutely love it.

Its the way she laughs at almost anything is what I like most about Subaru. Shes always so positive its hard not to be when you listen to her.
I'm glad she can feel proud if her voice now. ^^ I think it's better to have something unique that some people like rather than something common that everyone likes! Even if not everyone likes it, if you have something that nobody else has or can do something nobody else can, take pride in it!

When I watched Subaru clips for the first time (starting with the Cities: Skylines one where she makes a panties city) I was irritated by her voice, but after watching collab clips with her, I started searching for more Subaru solo clips. Her voice became one of the most fun things about her. Duck quacks are truly blessed.
LOL, Subaru is the 1st holo member I watched+sub-ed for and the reason for that is her cheerful and powerful voice.

I like the unique voices of all hololive members, looking their gameplay can sometimes be nerve wracking but having their voice in the background is the absolute best.

I guess I can understand why people dislike her voice but like, I personally find it adorable. She sounds so happy whenever she’s talking, and it always sounds like she’s having fun.
Ego-search is a double-edged sword for Vtubers. You want to find what people think about your content and style, but you also might find people who complain about aspects of yourself that you cannot and shouldn't change like voice, personality, quirks, etc.
