You don’t have a technique problem, but you keep searching for answers based on your technique. When Rory shot 40 on the back 9 at the Masters and lost the tournament, he didn’t lose his technique. His golf swing didn’t suddenly change… So what was it then? This "Unlocking Your Golf Potential" podcast has the answer.

Probably why my range game is better than my on-course game, no tension/pressure, makes sense

Wow this is such a great video. Another example is when I played the first 9 after a 6 month break (21 handicap). Zero expectation, take them as they come. Parred the first 4 holes, then realized how well I was doing and instantly fell apart, ending with a bogey, 3 triples and a quad to end the round basically average for myself.

You should check out a Canadian PGA Pro' - Ron Sissons and especially his video 'Real Swing Golf Method - Before and After'. It's one of the most remarkable videos I've ever seen, especially in Golf where there is so much money at stake and Golf Coaches are taught to 'bleed as much money out of a pupil as they can'.

My range and course game are now the same because I have found a way to RELAX my entire body and mind when I commit to it and not any shot or swing. My entire body reacts naturally, I stay on plane, I initiate the proper motions, create reliable impact, swing bottom, fluid release and full follow through. My shot shape has gotten tighter, my distances are met more often the missed. I can trust what I am doing now because I turn on the body and turn off the mind. After I have chosen what I want to accomplish, I LET GO. Do this as soon as you can and all that we learn or see here as far as golf instruction makes sense because you will feel all this naturally. Do not be a better second shot golfer! Think of the most relaxed thought while you swing, that is a swing thought. From the ground up, be loose. No tension in the arms hands, torso, shoulders, back, abdomen, forearms, hands, fingers! All movements should happen with those conditions in mind and body. I wasted 10 years of play under debilitating swing thought and tension trying to hit certain points in my swing killing all good technique. I have lived at par or better for the last 5 years now. Started playing at 33, now 48. Oh, and the last thing I can whole heartedly recommend, get fit and guess what....You are a player, not a golfer!

When golf is easy...It is due to lack of tension.

I like a lot of the ideas in this video, but I disagree with the statement that golfers don't have technique problems. The argument at 3:32 doesn't really hold up. Poor technique leads to inconsistent delivery. That means you CAN hit it well sometimes (like a great front 9), but you WILL hit it poorly many other times, simply because your technique is making it a physically difficult task to execute. If an archer closed their eyes and spun in circles while shooting, you wouldn't say their technique is fine because they occasionally hit the target.
