Am sorry the man who taught Yoga to the world was Adiguru or Adiyogi or more commonly known as Shiva, at least 15,000 years ago based on the coins found with his image, now in British Museum...
Yoga has a wider meaning - it means being in the union with the creation. The Yoga mentioned here in the video is Hatha Yoga which works to align the geometry of the body with the cosmic geometry. Physical aspect (ie health benefits) are an added bonus not the main goal.
The Hatha Yoga taught now in the world's yoga studios is just a physical aspect, and that too likely incomplete or inaccurate. It is like chopping off the wings of an airplane and use it as a bus rolling on the ground. Hatha Yoga is a science which unfortunately has not been properly understood in the West.

Cheif Minister asked him to close his yoga school. See there is no regard for Bharathiya culture or bharatiya knowledge during that time also. English education system has done this to us. Anything first western people has to steal or copy it from india and get prizes and rights for presenting few years of study data, then all Indians believe it. Be it intermittent fasting, use of turmeric, neem, castor etc to name few.

Nehru was half-Muslim and did not encourage Sanskrit or any Hindu related concepts. Did not help in renovating any old temples or universities. Shame on Gandhi for making him PM rather than Sardar Patel, though Patel had more votes in the CONgress party. Also tried to stop president Rajendra Prasad from attending the inauguration of the renovated Somnath temple, built with private funds.

Every failure brings in with the seed of an equivalent success, but only a few keep fighting on from their waeknesses, only a few rise again to walk on the path of success. They dont give up on their challenges thrown up by life, but they know challenges and certainly know success. Pratical dreamers never quit.

While I applaud the content of this documentary I wonder why you could not find a better narrator than this individual with atrocious pronunciation of South Indian names and schools of philosophy. It is excusable from foreigners -- but from fellow Indians it just sounds lazy minded, disrespectful, and downright embarrassing. I think you should redub the narration with someone more qualified. It will enhance the appeal of your documentary. Thank you.

@@akritigoel9497 What Sangam is saying is right. In ancient times, Nepal was a part of 'Bharat' and it was in the lap of the Himalayas where yogis mastered the art of yoga. The Gorkhas of Nepal and the lamas of Tibet had mastered the ancient art of yoga which originated in India but was lost because the British had imposed their system of education which was not in sync with the 'gurukulas' of Bharat. Much of the ancient wisdom of yoga was therefore lost because of long reigns of Mughals and British. Nepal and Tibet kept the wisdom intact because fortunately they were not under the subjugation of the Mughals or the British

Ne is the name of saint , Pal means rule . After the saint name Ne ruled the himalayan nation for long time, it is called Nepal in today’s time. "Jayachamarajendra Wadeyar no longer supported publishing books" is an utter lie. Under his support, more than 100 books (which covers around a few lakhs pages, which are basically translations of Rigveda Sayana Bhashya, Many Puranas, Shankara Bhashya Kannada translations, etc) were published from 1940s to 1960s. Please do the proper groundwork before publishing such a documentary.
