A family friend of mine bullied me for watching anime, I was watching a silent voice with one of our other family friends at a party, and everyone came to join, he ended up coming and got hooked. I don't really want to be a gate keeper and I try to act nice and supportive, but it still hurts knowing what he said.

@@mont9150 idk its rly complicated family thing, but ever since I was 9 he used to bully me about random things and since hes the oldest out of the kids in my family everyone would naturally follow him and bully me too. whether or not the things he says is true it still hurts knowing that every single kid/now teenagers thinks those exact things about me to this day. Watching anime was kinda like an escape from all that for me and when he got into it a couple years ago it really hurt.

I never told anyone I watched anime until high school, where it just casually slipped out of my mouth lol the guy I was talking to, that guy invited his friends over to sit with me just because i was the only one in class who watched anime apart from him, he was shooK. He prolly didn't find people who watched anime anywhere near him. I still have no idea why. Two years later I'm in art college and everyone here loves anime, some are pros and some I consider beginners just like me, some are mildly interested and some ofc think it's weird. But the majority over here, everytime they either talk about anime, to the point it can get frustrating even to me, but at the end of the day I'm glad cause more and more people are appreciating cartoons and the hard work that is put in them. Seems kinda obvious to me that we would like anime cause we're all doing animation, but still it's nice when you know it's not taboo anymore

My friend kept recommending me to watch AoT, previously I was skeptical of anime I thought only kids watched it but when watched Yuri on Ice in year 8 I found something that I actually enjoyed and then I watched AoT and so on😊

I stopped it at 135 will go back on when Boruto is a real man, not a little kid. I like to see him in his adult form so I have stopped watching. And besides waiting each week for a single episode kinda makes me frustrated of what will happen. So I watch in parts like I started with 90 Eps at once then stopped. And 135 the next time.
I felt offended too, but I agree. Boruto is trash and that would be the anime and the manga.

I also really enjoyed the subverted expectations of when he was being super cool about Boruto. I wasn't even sure what to expect, so that punchline really hit even harder.
