I watched on live and it was so raw and emotional but something about this angle, seeing Dan watch you. You can tell just by his face how much he enjoyed the experience as well! That was so special. Thank you for sharing this video! Congratulations on such a positive birth experience and your precious little boy! 🎉❤
Wow, you did an awesome job of keeping it together to get your baby crying...I've seen so many moms start going absolutely bonkers when their babies don't scream the instant their born. And here you were handling a more serious situation calmly and practically...though I am certain your heart was in your throat the whole time!
I originally watched your birth live & now recorded. Your birth live was beautiful, but your editing caught things like Dan holding your hand @ the end that I don't remember seeing. Little touches like that made your video so much more heartwarming. It was especially hard for me to see how long it took to get your baby breathing. I had an experience where 1 of my boys was born with his cord wrapped around his neck twice, so he was blue when he delivered & it seemed like forever before I heard him cry. Of course the tears were flowing both times when you delivered. I think that your baby was telling you that YOU are the rock star. You did so well! YOU were amazing mama!! 💗🥰💗🥰💗🥰
You make it look so easy! Getting ready for mine in 3 months. Thank God for women who post their experiences on UA-cam. It's so helpful and inspiring to so many people 💓 💖 ✨️
I watched this live and I felt like it took forever to get him breathing and crying and to keep him breathing and crying. I was holding my breath with him. Congratulations!
I watched your birth live on IG and I'm still crying watching it again. I'm so happy that you were able to get the birth of your dreams. You have a beautiful family.
I couldn’t help but burst into tears when she pulled him up on her chest and again when he started to cry. I just gave birth to my first baby nine weeks ago and I’ll never forget that moment when I first heard him cry. Congrats to you and your family, he’s so gorgeous! ❤️
I'm bawling for a 2nd at how beautiful and peaceful this was. I was on live watching and girl you are a Rockstar 💗 I just had my baby 4 weeks ago and I had a great experience but this this was amazing
Congratulations to you all 💗I’m a mama of 4 and a birth doula so I loved every bit of your journey bringing baby into this world. Thank-you for sharing 🥰
Congratulations! What a calm labor and birth! I’m so happy you got to do it at home like you wanted! Everything happened for a reason. I’m currently 38 weeks and feeling lots of contractions non-stop. I can’t wait to meet my baby. You inspire me so much to have a calm and beautiful labor. Beautiful family! Happy Birthday to your little baby boy❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congrats to you guys on the birth of your beautiful baby and hope everything went well for you during the birth and God bless you and your beautiful family and stay safe and healthy. Love ❤️ you guys so much ❤️ 💘
Wow! Momma, you are amazing! To give birth and then immediately begin delivering medical care to your child. You are incredible! Your family must be so proud of you! And what a precious little one! God bless you all!
Even though I watched it live, I’m crying still 😭 It was so beautiful to see the behind-the-scenes this time. Lex, you are incredible and did amazing. And Dan did so freakin amazing, too. I’m so happy for you that you got your dream birth ❤️ I never did but I got to live vicariously through you watching this, so thank you 😉
I thought the live was behind the scenes but now it looks like this one was behind the scenes. Also your midwife has to be the calmest woman on this planet
Congratulations on your beautiful rainbow baby. And thank you for normalizing natural birth and home birth. Your midwife was absolutely amazing and you handled labor like a champ 💙
You were so calm when he was born and took so long to cry! I was immediately scared when I saw he was so pale and limp. My youngest inhaled meconium at birth though so I guess I'm a little traumatized from that 😬 I'm glad your baby ended up being fine though. You were amazing! Such quiet and calm pushing I would never have known you were literally about to give birth.
Lex, this was just incredible. I love seeing the different perspective from the live too! I know it was crazy at the end about where you'd give birth, but after watching this, I think it was a window closing so your door could open because this was amazing. You rocked this birth with so much grace and peace! So happy for you guys, huge congratulations, enjoy your sweet baby moon Xxx
I have watched a lot of birth videos and thought I couldn't be moved by any anymore, but this was AMAZING. I'm crying. Congratulations, six months late. I'm so glad you have another healthy baby to love on. Thank you for sharing!
What an incredible birth story. Everything happened exactly as is was meant to. Welcome earth side, sweet baby boy. You did so good mama, so much control and wisdom listening to your body. We just found out we are expecting baby #4 (2 boys and 1 baby girl) and we are keeping this baby’s sex a surprise until birth. I can’t wait to birth my baby in my own home with only my loved ones.
This is the most chill l&d I've ever seen. I'm a mom of 7 and i scream like someone's killing me when I'm in labor its intense af. But im a wuss when it comes to pain of any kind.
LEX!! That was absolutely beautiful! You were in such good control the whole time...and all three kids were so calm through it all. How wonderful that they were able to watch their baby brother come into the world. Great job Mama!!!
I’m crying watching this you worked as a team with your midwife. I never cried when I had my 5 kids because I was in so much shock like another reality but I cried watching this from this perspective!!!! One of the best birth vlogs I’ve seen. You did such a kick ass job mama
Omg watching this made me burst into tears im about to give birth in 3 weeks and had to get so much money so that I can give birth in a private clinic . you're so strong mamma
I give anyone credit that has natural child birth. My nice in law just had her third that way. This one was a home birth. And she said it was the best. Congratulations on your new addition.
wow watching your progression through labor/birth truly gives me a sense of calmness if you will..... I wish you could BLESS ME with how you trained your mind/body through pregnancy to overcome everything that comes with labor/birth
I watched this video and it literally almost brought me to tears. Your birth was so inspiring and you really just did sooo amazing. I seriously felt so happy and proud of the way you handled this.
Congratulations to you and your family. You did great but I knew you would. Your a wonderful wife and mother so knew you would have it. Love and Prayers to you all.
I went and watched the live first. Your team was so calm but those first couple of minutes after he was born were so intense and even though I knew he was healthy it was scary. You did so well Lex!
What a blessing!! He is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE GUYS!!!! Can’t wait 😊 to see part 2!! I’m crying 😢 happy 😃 tears 😭 for u and ur family!! God Bless you all!!!! U did AMAZING during ur labor and delivery girlie!! CONGRATULATIONS 🎈🍾🎉🎊!!!! TONS OF LOVE ❤️ AND PRAYERS 🙏 FROM UPSTATE, NY!!!!
Such a beautiful birth! Good job mama and baby! Im 26w with #3 and I’ve never experienced my water breaking. Dr has always had to do it for me and once that happens all heck breaks lose. I’ve got a feeling that’s not how this birth is going to go and my hospital is 45 minutes away. Never thought to suck the baby’s nose with my mouth but I will definitely keep that knowledge in the back of head incase this birth doesn’t happen at the hospital! Congrats mama! 🥰
Yup, crying again❤❤. That cry, does it every time. At the end I saw Coop next to you on the bed next your shoulder. Such a sweet sight. Love you guys ❤
Congratulations to you both. He is so precious. I actually watched the livestream of you giving birth to him. It is interesting to see the different camera angles and footage from the other perspectives than the seen on the phone. Loved seeing the older children ‘s reaction to seeing the new baby.
Congrats lex n dan Fitzgerald Family !!! Luv n Prayers too ur family ❤🙏❤. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. Hope for a safe n heathly pregnancy with ur precious little baby boy. Hope y'all have a safe n heathly. Luv the Smith family. I truly love ur family too pieces.
So absolutely incredible and inspiring! You had such self control, I almost laughed at your very calm “ow, ow”. You are amazing. Definitely a comfort and inspiration as my second is due in 3.5 weeks. Congratulations
So beautiful ❤️ congratulations Mama! Do you find that using the combs to cope with contractions works well? I'm due with #3 in a few more weeks and never seen combs used like that before
This was so beautiful, I literally cried. You did amazing. I’m due with my third in 4 weeks and love seeing how strong us women are. Totally empowers me. ❤
Ahh I watched live but this is so amazing! Seeing Dan be there, present and supportive in the way he knows you is amazing. You can see the love. Watching him hold your hand as you pushed Scout out. My heart and ovaries are weak. Congratulations again 💙
I loved this video! I watched the live also, but the angle in this one showed more of Dan and how he was by your side and supporting you. I cannot wait to see the next video 💙
Good Lord, that’s how you BOSS UP! Unbelievable control! When you started trying to help him breath I lost it. That proves we as women are born with the power to do ANYTHING!!!!
I saw a comment on your live regarding Dan not being as involved as someone expected (which I know is so untrue) but seeing it from this angle and seeing him hold your hand the whole time made me tear up. So cute, congratulations!
You were awesome, Lex! I joined Instagram just so I could watch the birth early. I didn't see it live but did see it the day of. I know how empowering it feels to give birth naturally and at home. It was nice to watch again on UA-cam and from another angle and see/hear some other interactions. I'm so happy for you and your beautiful family.
I watched the live and yet I feel like I am watching your birth for the first time. A whole different view and you can see the love and support you had around you! 🥰
Welcome to the world little man! I hope you´ll have a long and happy life. Lex, Dan, I wish you all all the best. He is adorable and looks so much like Cooper! My last child (also a son) of my four kids shares the same birthday. I cried at the Insta life and cried again now.
Loved your midwife following your lead, getting clear consent before breaking your waters, talking you through a self exam… I listen to and watch lots of stories and it seems like she’s one of the best!

Thank you for sharing this video! Congratulations on such a positive birth experience and your precious little boy! 🎉❤
Really? He could have at least rubbed her back. Given some physical support.
Where is the live ? How you do to see the live ?
Same here. I absolutely loved it.
Wow, you did an awesome job of keeping it together to get your baby crying...I've seen so many moms start going absolutely bonkers when their babies don't scream the instant their born.
