The best part is just having extra fabric afterwards for a patch jacket. Like enjoy everything you make and then one big messy free for all project with the leftovers
i just got this pair of overalls that i wanna put like random patches of material on (,: and also there’s this top i wanted to make out fabric patches im so excited!!
I love how the dress came out especially with the lace trim. It would be interesting to see what it would look like with lace trim on the sleeves. I also like the skirt.
Yo and the skirt! I started adding lace to things after watching rattus rattus and now it's a necessary step on all my projects. I love that little plaid skirt!
ive been sewing for a good few years now and a rotary cutter for cutting fabric actually changed my life i stg. deffo recommend getting one. also all of your projects were so cute i CANTTT
@@chizdoesthings fabric scissors are good for smaller precise cuts, but a rotary cutter slays so hard for long cuts, like when you cut down the denim for your jeans. its just a lot quicker for big pieces of fabric.
Omg i loved everything you made! Also if you're still hating pinning (even though it is good habit!) they do have sewing craft clips which a lot of people prefer. Also if you want a prettier hem that doesn't fray, instead of the zigzag stitch, you can roll your fabric up about 3/8 inch once or twice and then sew a straight stitch on top and you have a clean rolled hem that wont fray! I know you're going for very grunge-esque fashion though :)) lovely job
These all turned out so good!! Especially considering they were your first ever projects, mine certainly didn't look that good when I first started lol. the dress especially is amazingggggg. Also I recommend backstitching at the beginning and end of every seam, it seems unnecessary but it will keep the thread from coming out and your clothes will last way longer:)
I bought my sewing machine months ago but have only used it once or twice since then. Thanks for the inspiration!! Loved the video and all your projects came out amazing!
i really wanna start sewing but i cant figure out how to actually jump into it so maybe ill destroy a t-shirt or something. i wish i had your confidence bc all of your projects turned out amazing but if i did it then it would be funky.
aw thank you so much! tbh you really just have to jump into it. the first thing i did was try to sew random fabric scraps together and i couldn’t even figure it out (it was all bunched up and weird in the back). i watched a bunch of sewing videos specific to my machine too. just try it out bc you’ll never know until you try! and prepare to break a few needles (,:

⚠️ trigger warning ⚠️ razor blade from 1:21-1:54 (sry ill do it in the video next time!)
I loved watching the process of all of them start to finish. My favorite is the dress, you can’t even tell it was modified 😱🤩

omgg i wanted to try to make that lace collar that they made it was so cool 😭
you can also use a bar of cheap soap to mark the lines that’s what i started to use and it doesn’t stain and it comes out when you wash it!
that’s so smart! thanks for the tip

omg i just bought $20 fabric scissors 😭 is a rotary cutter better for curved edges or just in general?

Do you like that sewing machine? How was it on the denim?
i love this sewing machine, i think the most important thing is u have a strong enough needle for the material you’re working with.
