I never thought about it till now but Stryker probably didn't get many new fans by acknowledging himself knowingly committing police brutality as it generally isn't something people look fondly on and where yes every mk character can essentially be made into a heartless killer most have a fantastical supernatural spin. Stryker is just a dude so there isn't any fun or kinda light hearted twist. Just kind of makes him come off as a dick more than a righteous hero.
