Thanks for helping us homeowners save money by showing how to perform simple maintenance on our heating systems.
You just made my furnace run like it never has in my time owing this trailer! Thank you so much for this video! 🙏
Though not my model, it helped me get my Coleman figured out and back to life on a cold winters evening.
Still helping folks you the Man Brother 🤙🏽
I have this exact furnace, and my air was not blowing hot. I followed these exact steps and now the heat is cooking us out! Thanks for the video. Saved us from calling an HVAC company to come fix it.
Awesome sauce
Thanks 2 you, I was able to do this process, my igniter sensor did not look dirty though, I saw mouse poop in there, so I vacuumed it out. The furnace has been running for 55 minutes without shutting down, steady yellow and red light......so warm in here now..... Many Thanks..
awesome love it you are very generous with your knowledge. nice to see an honest man!
I appreciate that!
We were able to get out furnace running again thanks to this video.
Awesome. Glad to hear it
Thank you for this video! Total life saver
I'm going to work on this tomorrow
Excelente Job ...thx 4 share ur knowledge 💯
Good video , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Dang! The setup is a bit different. Never seen one like that. Great video 🙌
The mobile homes in my area have the janitorial closet furnaces, usually Goodman. Never seen one the furnaces you have in your video.
Excellent do it yourself video. I followed everything to the tee but instead of cleaning it, I put new one in because it was old and brittle
Works like a charm
Thank you
Hey bro, at 1:05 & 4:08, I wish you would’ve showed us your process of loosening (and tightening) those double nutted piping systems! Did you use 2 channel locks? A locking vise grip and crescent wrench? A small pipe wrench and a set of pliers? Just wondering, cause the older furnaces that have really frozen pipes can be super hectic! 😁 Thanks man!
I've cleaned plenty of these to get by, but usually by the time they start sensing weak flame it's time to change the ignitor. I wish nordyne would have had a flame sensor separate. Like Colemans.
Mines a Coleman and it's freezing, what's the difference? I have never done this before myself but it's always something needs cleaned every year so I'm guessing this is it.
@@scotticidal What's freezing? What's different? Coleman is a completely separate parent company and design.
@angryfarmingamerican2124 I meant it's freezing outside and what was the difference between the models. Anyway, I got it apart and have heat again!
I agree. Wish the Flame sensor was separate too.
What does a dirty flame sensor do ? What’s it’s symptoms before it goes bad?
Is the procedure basically the same for older units that
have a pilot light instead of the ignitor?
Thanks for sharing! So mine does a beeeeeeeeepppppp for Long time then stars heating but then stops and then it tries to start again but it takes forever to heat the whole house help please!🙏🙏
Can you do one on relighting this water heater? I’m a 22 year old lady, and I don’t know how but I have this exact model
Called repair guy on a Saturday, he replaced flame sensor, billed me $385. Ouch. Part cost about $25 depending on where purchased. Saved old one, cleaned like you did for next time. Can’t use single wire ones that cost $4.
Bummer… we’ll at least you are prepared for next time!
How do you check the gas pressure?
Ok everyone help me out!! I did follow this video and i was able to take all the screws out and unplugged the necessary wires but i could get the circle plate to come off completely? The only difference with mine is the copper connector ( gas line ) cannot be unscrewed. I need to know how to take off the plate completely?! I live in Buffalo and i need my furnace to work!! I cannot afford to have someone come in to fix it. I can hear it clicking, struggling to light but just doesn't. I'm very determined and i HAVE to do this!!
wow, never thought to clean a hot surface igniter, my boss showed me how to fix a cracked one with #2 pencil
That sounds intriguing! How did he do it?
Did he write a note to buy a new one?
Thats an idea, making a video the next time I find one.
How do you light this one
WoW . small WORLD. The furnace, in my trailer/home, has the same thing, upto 0:35 Time, Xactly, the swich is just the same...but, after 35 seconds, the bottom/burner setup is different !
There is an ON / OFF normal wall switcht, on the opposing wall, in the hallway .......wow. TAKE GOOD CARE, OF ALL IN YOUR POWER, MR HVAC MAN ! (from Alberta Canada)
oh, was wondering; i'd like to S L O W THE blower fan motor, but it isn't a 3 speed one; just the 2 wires and ground. Could i install a 3 speed motor, using the same round fan ??? WONDERING.....
Tryna find a video of how to clean evaporator coil on a mobile home furnace if anyone can help
Question , my gas furnace is working normally if I leave the top part door open, but if I close it, no heat or no working
If it a 90 percent efficient furnace with two pvc pipes coming out of the cabinet it is likely you could have a restriction in the intake pipe for combustion air.I disconnect the intake pvc pipe at the furnace and use a electric leaf blower to blow through the pipe to clear it all the way outdoors.A licensed HVAC contractor can check and clear a blocked intake pipe and if that is the cause,no parts just a labor charge.
What he said ☝🏽 hope it’s an easy fix :)
? Question: I've been in this trailer, for going on to 5 years; no furnace trouble yet. Should i clean that sensor, even tho it's working ok ?? tanks, in advance ! Sir.
Preventive maintenance never hurts
Hello Sir , I have the same furnace , I tried everything you explained but I still have no light on the flame sensor , I cleaned it but still no heating 😞 any other advice ?
Did you ever get this figured out? Same issue.
Replace it they do go bad
Mine looks the same . Mine will light and then the flame will go out.
Would a bad flame sensor cause the yellow flame led not not come on?
Yes
Put new sensor in
Woke up to this very thing this morning.
Woke up to this very thing this morning.
It's easy
My furnace will not turn off from the thermometer if it is more than 66°F.
The thermostat is fine and opens at temp. The control module is brand new. I think it may be the low voltage wiring.
Any ideas?
Questions:
Furnace continually runs or just the fan?
How long does it run?
I would disconnect the thermostat wires and the board and use jumper wires to call for heat. Remove the jumpers and it should stop the flame within a few seconds. The fan will still run for a few minutes. If it’s still doing it with no wires attached then it’s your board. If it doesn’t do it then it’s something with the wiring or the thermostat
@@JurassicJolts It is heating, not just the fan.
It runs until I kill power to the furnace. I have allowed it to get to 76°F before I turn it off. I usually turn it off between 68-72°F
I will try your suggestion. I feel like it is the low voltage wiring since I replaced the board not too long ago.
Thanks!
I need your help please sir
Per you're customers you're phone number should/must be on speed dial
Not criticizing, wanting to help.
😊
you're = you are
Example: Have you decided where you're going on holiday?
your = relating to one or oneself
In this instance it would be "your".
Your customers / your phone number
Example: Your furnace is now working.
So I have a problem with my mom's Miller furnace a mobile home 1985 I've gone through the pressure limit switch fan limit switch and even a new blower motor the furnace keeps cycling on and off so the thermostat will click it'll fire up then it'll shut down The fan will kick on then it'll reignite and then it does that for the whole duration of the furnace What the heck could it be could it be a flame sensor?. I thought it was the fan limit switch It wasn't
Same situation. Ever figure it out?
@@joeoconnor87 nope, hey quite a few people say it's the igniter but I'm not sure or it could be the gas valve.
Does it have a standing pilot light?
@@joeoconnor87 What do you mean? It's electric ignition
@peachyclean93 my miller has a standing pilot and doing the same symptoms. I mistakenly forget what video title. Lol
I’m assuming that’s not a standard igniter? You never want to touch a standard igniter or clean them.
Right it’s a combo. The standard ignitor is very brittle and shouldn’t be touched
The stuff I work on is never this neat, clean, or accessible! And I usually have to bandage my knuckles afterwards! Or go buy some part that I break during the ‘repair’. Oh well!
Order a flame sensor for my furnace and it is not the same as the one in it
The part number I got was DV3110. My furnace looks like the one in your video
Are you able to adjust the gas pressure on these type of units?
