The previous co-op record was 6 minutes and 30 seconds. While this was a fast run, it could have been 30-60 seconds faster. It is frustrating to watch it back and see the things that went wrong. At 2:11 we should've been able to one-shot the Lacerator, but the loot bug ate some of my first Jumbo Shells shot. We couldn't damage it enough from that point and the Twins regenerated health. Then again at 2:43, I used the shotgun too early before the Lacerator was frozen. Again, not doing enough damage and causing them to regenerate health. Also, I was apparently running Veteran Depositor which was not necessary. I could have switched that out for a different perk. Not everything goes perfectly when doing these speedruns - in fact they rarely do. The best thing to do is learn from our mistakes and stay persistent! We will keep trying to get a better time! We know we can improve.
*laughs* that sounds like me when I was going over my demos as a 6's medic in TF2. There's always something to learn from mistakes... and it's cool to know that what you two do is that kind of process, too. Can't get better without knowing what went wrong and your analysis shows a lot about what you can see. Tho what you two DID was amazing. And, yes, Snoop's gown did look pretty, that gave me a grin at the beginning.
What a run! I've been attempting the solo elim runs for a while and it feels like I'm always in the magma core for these missions. If not MC then it's sand or azure weald most of the time. Do you guys reset on hiveguards? I find myself doing so a lot. I do have a build for dealing with it but at the same time it's not the best build for classic dread, so most runs end up relying on twins and either of the other two.
Thanks! Yeah it’s always one of those 3 biomes, but I feel like it’s usually Magma Core. We tried some runs with hiveguard, but we just started resetting immediately if it came up. Have you been trying the solo haz 5 run?
@@benicopter no I've been doing the other one. I've had some pretty promising runs so far but most die to losing my flow. You know what I mean? There were some rare occasions when there were 2 dread missions outside of those 3 biomes but they usually came with a cave mutator.
So I'm completely new when it comes to DRG speedruns, but why is scout/engi the most optimal? I would assume scout/gunner or scout/scout Engi always seemed like the slowest dps along with driller
I think the most optimal setup would be Scout/Driller. Driller can freeze the dreadnoughts and Scout can use the M1000 + Boomstick with Jumbo Shells overclock to deal massive damage. Plus, Driller is great at pathing and can quickly get through dirt tunnels For this particular run, we experimented with a few different classes but had more success with Engineer with the Breach Cutter. The Breach Cutter can destroy armor pretty quickly, or at the very least do high damage, and there’s a good amount of ammo.

I’m glad you made the list of your flaws so you do better. It’s difficult to carry your though these❤️.
I appreciate your willingness to put up with me.
Super nice! Sure you listed some flaws - but sub 3 mins - incredible! Always enjoyable to watch.
If the twins didn't have that damn healing move this would be significantly faster
That was fantastic!
