- Hello, welcome back to the channel. As you explore the captivating city of Dakar Senegal, you will discover a myriad of experiences that will blow your mind and rekindle your love for the African continent. Dakar Senegal is located on the Cape Verde Peninsula, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, dotted with high-rise buildings, commercial centers, and modern residential complexes.
In this video i show you Dakar, the capital city of Senegal like never seen before. I started the tour from one end of the Dakar peninsula called Almades and headed to the other end of the city where the administrative capital is located so you can see how developed Senegal is. Then later we will proceed to the center point of the city to see the most popular residential neighbourhood with highrise complexes that will surprise you.
With a population of over 16 million people, Senegal is a vibrant and welcoming nation that showcases the essence of West African charm. Dakar, the capital city of Senegal, serves as the cultural and economic hub of the country. It showcases a blend of modern infrastructure, bustling markets, and historical landmarks. The iconic African Renaissance Monument stands tall, symbolizing the nation's aspirations for progress and unity. Gorée Island, a short distance from Dakar, is a poignant reminder of the transatlantic slave trade and a place of remembrance and reflection.
As you delve into the heart of Dakar, you will be immersed in its vibrant and colorful culture. The city pulsates with a lively atmosphere fueled by music, dance, and art. Downtown dakar has many futures like neighborhoods in Algiers Downtown, Rue Didouche Mourad, Hussein Dey, and El Biar. As a former resident in both countries, it's for reasons french used to refer to Algiers as Alger la blanche. Dakar is a really cool place to visit. I lived in Algeria for 3 years and Dakar for 2 years during my early years in Canada foreign service.

Why alot of people always believe that West Africa are not developed? I always tell people travel before you say negative things. I believe alot of people are shock because of this video.
