    You, my friend, are a life saver! I have a yellow Massey 20C. It has the exact same Perkins engine as the 35 and I have the exact same fuel leak problem. Thanks for your detailed video!

    Thank you for the video. In the kit there are also two little rubber washers to seal under the holding nuts. I find it easier to remove the nut from the throttle shaft and push this down through the cover while taken it apart, that way you don't have to remove the spring. The position of the governor spring is stamped on the blue sign on the pump.

      That sounds like a good way to do it. I accidentally panted over the blue tag on my pump.

    Well at least one thing it was easy to get to. Can’t believe there ain’t a drain plug in it. Like a drain plug in a carburetor bowl. Thanks for sharing. Take care

      There quite possibly could be a drain plug I did not see one. I would think had I disconnected a fuel line I could have drained it out that way. Thanks for watching.

    Very nice! Is yours an India market tractor? It has the contoured hood different from USA models.

      Mine is a 1960 made in England model. I guess they imported them b4 they started manufacturing them here in the USA.

    i have a 1962 MF35X and the pump dosent pump fuel into the injectors they are dry when i try to bleed the pump and injectors, whats wrong?

    • @thedelcodave
      @thedelcodave  Рік тому +1

      I would check for fuel flow from the tank. Pull the fuel supply line off the injector pump and make sure fuel is flowing freely to ensure petcock, filters, and fuel lines are not obstructed.

      @roythewho Рік тому

      @@thedelcodave i did that, its coming fuel everywhere except in the 3 injector pipes took them off and cleaned them nothing wrong there. It looks likte the pump wont pump any fuel. Opened that that, did look good. I might have to deliver it to a tractor company for proper inspection :)

      @@roythewho I agree sounds like the pump is not working properly. Hopefully you get it sorted out and back running without too much expense.

    How do we prime it after filter changes? I've got the air out of the filters and the bleeder screws on the injector but I don't have making it to the injector fittings?

    • @thedelcodave
      @thedelcodave  6 місяців тому

      If you have it bled up until the injection pump. Break each injector line loose at the injector and crank it will take some time for the fuel to get up to the injectors. Crank for 30-60 seconds them let your starter cool off for a couple minutes. Also set your throttle to 3/4 full.

      @thedelcodave I have fuel coming out at the injector fittings now, but still won't start. I wonder if bad fuel pump will cause problem. Im only cranking 10 seconds. How much fuel should it pump out, I think I have less than your vid. It starts with ether.

    • @thedelcodave
      @thedelcodave  6 місяців тому

      It will shoot little squirts of fuel out each line. If it ran before you changed the filters then it most likely still has air in the system. Tighten 2 of the 3 fuel lines on the injectors and leave the 3rd one cracked loose. If you can get it running on 2 cylinders then tighten the last line when all the air is out. These tractors have the lift pump but the tank is higher then the injection pump so they gravity feed pretty good.

      @FourthWayRanch 6 місяців тому

      @thedelcodave we got it to run using ether. Maybe new fuel pump will help prime it better. The manual lift pump on mine didn't do a lot. This Is the perkins 4.236 on the backhoe, I put a vid on my channel

    Youd think they wouldve had a drain screw.

      I'm sure had I took the fuel lines off it would have drained but I was trying to take apart as little as needed.
