A soft spoken, calm man who just so happens to specialise in playing absolute monsters. I've met several Actors well known for playing villainous characters and they've all had one thing in common - they've all been exceptionally nice lol.
One of the few movies that scared me. Brad is one of my all-time favorite actors. The acting in this movie is so phenomenal!!! Just watching George C Scott having dinner with the priest. Those lines of dialogue. The performance. I watch this movie at least 3 times a year.
My three favorite Brad Dourif performances are 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest', 'Wise Blood' and 'Exorcist III' -- all of them indelible and brilliant. Such a fine actor.
Loved exorcist 3 since it came out. An absolutely brilliant film, one of the most effective jump scares in horror history. . Glad to see it's getting recognised a lot more now.
One of the few horror movies that can "spar" with the original. This one scared the crap outta me!! Dourif is, well, Dourif--one of the most underrated actors in the business.
"Gracious me. Was I raving? Please forgive me, Im mad" 😁 1:26 Amazing when you close your eyes you see Chucky when this immensley talented actor speaks & screams 😂👏 fcuking brilliant, Its not perfect but I Love Excorcist III 🌹
The Directors cut of 3 is exceptionally good a true mystery film and the dynamic is different. The theatrical cut needed the connection to the first film for marketing and profits.
Brad Dourif is the best!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👍 I've been a fan ever since I saw him on the season 1 episode of The X-Files, "Beyond The Sea"! Phenomenal performer!!! 👏👏👏👏👍
@@tomstanziola1982 He played an ex-murderer who has his brain wiped and becomes a gentle monk and one of his victim's family members searches him out to kill him. It's incredible.
I understand Brad's sentiment toward what he thinks of as a bad performance, but I love the theatrical version, including the exorcism at the end, and it is very scary, it was effective enough for 2 serial killers to watch it before they went out to kill, yes 2 of them.
No joke i think the third one was the best out of all three, i was born in 83, so i grew up with super good practical fx , but i think the horror from the first is a more , faith based, like devouts that saw it , hell anyone that believes in some sort of all knowing being of some sort, has to know there is another side, but the third one ,hits that for me everyone in that movie was a perfect fit
The original exorcist did not scare me, not at any point. This movie, 'Legion', scared the shit out of me so bad I hated it! And what freaked me out? Brad Dourif. 🖤 As a matter of fact, I was freaked out by Brad so badly that I wouldn't watch him in anything else. It was 'The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers' that changed my mind on Brad. I was mesmerized by his work as Grima. BAM! I became very appreciate of Brad's work. I returned to 'Legion' to watch it with a new perspective -- and he was STILL fucking terrifying. But now I realized that the entire movie was a masterclass in horror! I also noticed that it had been edited strangely and felt patched together. When I learned what happened to the film, I had to seek out the original cuts. I maintain that 'Legion' is scarier than its predecessor. Whereas the first two acts of the first movie are intriguing and increasingly unnerving, the third act becomes cartoonish by comparison. 'Legion' does devolve into a cartoon-ish "exorcism", but the end hits hard. It's a gut punch -- kind of a double gut punch with watching Karras make the sacrifice again, and Kinderman having to play the savior.
I dont understand why he didn't get way more parts, i think it was the time maybe , idk all i know is mr douriff is a damn fine actor, like im pretty sure hes an actors actor
The only problem I had with E3 is that George C Scott didn't grow a mustache to show us who he was. For years I thought he and Ed Flanders (Not Ned lol ) were just just two new characters. GCS was Kinderman, the cop from the original, and Ed Flanders was the priest at the bottom of the stairwell who read last rights.
i guess he could have grown one, i knew who he was as i remember the name from the first movie, i believe the original kinderman died in 1976. i thought george c scott was very good in the part. have a nice day from the dark knight.
I must agree with you sir, i never realized how beautiful she was, like natural no make up needed ,not conventionally ,, somewhat chubby faced or i guess its babydoll face or something idk ,i also dont know her age in that movie, i hope its not younger than 20,
I was also duped at 17 years of age when I went to see the Exorcist 2. After about 5 minuets I was DISGUSTED, and asked for my money back at the Dublin cinema. The box office staff agreed it was a pile of shit and gave me a ticket for another Movie in their Screen 3. I remember it like it was last week! F....k. Boorman is a lousy lousy film maker. It should of been banned.
When I worked at the theatre we wouldn't give refunds if people didn't like the movie they paid to see. "We only garuantee that we will run the movie, not that you will like it". The movie with the most walkouts was All Pacino's " Cruising". Some people couldn't handle the gay aspects and left pretty pissed.
The most underrated horror movie ever.
Brad should have won an award for that performance. Chilling, charismatic, demonic, unforgettable.
Phenomenal actor!!! He was incredible in The Exorcist 3

I disagree to agree!

I thought he was great in critters in space
BRAD DOURIF is such a phenomenal actor
I absolutely cherish Brad Dourif a true master of his craft👏
Legion brad dorif as the Gemini killer scared the shit out of me first viewing awesome film
He is absolutely amazing!
Scarier than Chucky?
Masterpiece performances from everyone and this film is outstanding!
A fan since the first time I saw Brad as the Gemini Killer.
Loved exorcist 3 since it came out. An absolutely brilliant film, one of the most effective jump scares in horror history. . Glad to see it's getting recognised a lot more now.
Brad Dourif is incredibly talented and his performance in this movie was fantastically intense.
One of MY top ten movies.
Great performances by Brad and George C. Scott. (Rip)
That fucking hospital scene
18:05 Mr. Blatty with two of my favorite actors; Scott Wilson and Brad Dourif!
I literally love him so much. On top of being an incredible actor, he's also such a decent bloke, seemingly. Someone you'd want to have around.
I really like BD's stint on Voyager.
Such a great actor.

Loved him in the X files also stand out performance
He's amazing in x-files, so intense I love that episode 👏
I've had a huge crush on Brad for many years. He's a great actor imo.
You may not like your acting, but we sure do! What a talented guy!
Such a talented actor
0:20 never heard this better said
What a humble man.
"I personally don't like my acting." Well I do! I get it, though...I hate seeing myself on camera too.
Brad is a lot like Danny Trejo: Plays a lot of mean, nasty characters, but is an absolute pleasure in real life.
He's opened a taco restaurant in London where I met him. Such a nice guy

and thank you for this

Did you see him in Babylon 5?
@Alienmojo I didn't know he was in that! Some new work of his for me to discover! Thanks! 👍✌️

@Alienmojo I'll definitely check it out. Thanks again.👍

I love E3, but, he'll always be Grimma Worm Tongue for me.
Kudos to Brad for subjugating his ego and returning to the set after being let go many actors would sue and take a pay out.
How would you like to be the PA assigned to run lines with Brad Dourif?
Can't help but see a good guy doll
this guy needs an emmy or golden globe or some sort of top of the line award for his acting

Best horror film of all time, a true masterpiece, Brads acting is stellar.
The version I saw and love, which I have on DVD, I feel is better than Exorcist 1, but you need to see 1 in order to understand 3,

I dont understand why he didn't get way more parts, i think it was the time maybe , idk all i know is mr douriff is a damn fine actor, like im pretty sure hes an actors actor
Brad's right. The original cut of Legion is far superior to Exorcist III.
The only problem I had with E3 is that George C Scott didn't grow a mustache to show us who he was. For years I thought he and Ed Flanders (Not Ned lol ) were just just two new characters. The Exorcist ➡The Ninth Configuration ➡ Legion
That is the TRUE exorcist Trilogy. REAL fans will now what I mean.
BILLY!!
Jason miller the great actor
Brad Dourif is great and we want Linda Blair in the fourth one and Brad Dourif is the priest one. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 Sincerely Yours Tommy Brown
There already is an exorcist 4.
@@princessofpazunia made by blatty? No. There isn't and there never will be. Lol
@@zombywoof7309 yes. I know it's not made by Blatty. 😅
I disagree with you, Mr. Dourif, that the theatrical release wasn't scary... 😱I still love you, though...
Exorcist II had Linda Blair at her hottest but not much more.
I must agree with you sir, i never realized how beautiful she was, like natural no make up needed ,not conventionally ,, somewhat chubby faced or i guess its babydoll face or something idk ,i also dont know her age in that movie, i hope its not younger than 20,
I think he had a point. I loved the movie, but they over cooked the end with all the lightning and "Madonna" effects.
I love The exorcist 2 ! But not as a horror film.
