Very difficult to trust something like this when they say that acetaldehyde is produced in the gut, while it actually happens in the liver. And yes gut can refer to the abdomen but with the video showing the entrails that was clearly not what they meant. I hope that the deadmeat team takes another look at the sponsor since the product shouldn't have much of an effect on acetaldehyde production from alcohol.
Can't we just appreciate how amazing Brad Dourif is with his performances. Whenever he is playing Chucky, the Gemini Killer, Billy Bibbit or Wormtongue the guy is an awesome actor
His Billy Bibbit absolutely breaks my heart. I think the fact that I saw it so early relative to most of his other roles is why I’ve always loved him and never find his characters too scary.
Brad always is commited to his performances no wonder he still plays Chucky for more than 30 years. Also he almost played Joker in Tim Burton's Batman before they casted Jack Nicholson in the role
The bit about both old men thinking they are the one cheering up the other is so cute and wholesome. Unexpected from a horror movie about a serial killer
Jason Miller deserves so much more love for his performance here and how he makes it such a seamless shift between him and Brad Dourif’s scenes. An absolute masterclass in acting right here!

Nurse Keating reminds me greatly of Lisa Garland from Silent Hill (specifically her appearance in the first game from 1999). After some short researching, it turns out that Lisa Garland's appearance was probably inspired by Nurse Keating. Very cool. : )
The kill just works so well because it's such a slow build up, then throws in a fake shock moment before returning to normal for a bit. There's a cop seated so the viewer feels safe as does the nurse, but when she enters that room, he gets up and leaves. The long slow shot, the noise as she shuts the door (which I'm guessing was added in post so the killer could come through it) gives nothing away until she turns and walks. It's such an amazing moment that hits no matter how often you see it. Also, I wish there was a George C Scott satnav app as that voice would be amazing as you're driving: "Turn right I said!!!"

This movie does a great job of making the kills really unsettling using just descriptions alone, I think it does a better job than most really gory and explicit movies do honestly. The monologue Brad Dourif gives about how a decapitated head can continue to see for 20 seconds so he makes sure that the last thing that person sees is their own decapitated body is brutal.
Man that hospital jump scare messed me up so bad the first time I saw it. I remember laying in bed terrified that something was going to get me in the dark. Still gave me chills seeing it in the video. So well done

The Exorcist III is, imo, an excellent and underrated true sequel to what I consider to be the scariest movie of all-time. Everything, from Blatty's script and direction, to the cast and the acting itself is all really well done. Also, that jump scare in the hospital is iconic in so many ways and, like many, made me jump out of my skin the first time I saw it. Initially, I thought the moment in the room with the ice cracking in the glass and the patient was the big scare, but I was sorely mistaken. 😅
Fabio was once invited to the opening of a roller coaster as soon as the ride started a goose flew into his face so in all the pictures he's spattered in blood
During the dream scene, the tarot cards that are laid out tell about the movie's climax. Judgment: Rite of Passage, maturing, reviewing, transition. The Emperor: Power, structure, stability, authority, father. The World: Integration, completion, options, wholeness, the earth, correction. The Devil: Attachments, restriction, commitment, limitations. Lined up in a 4 card spread is telling Wiliam what he'll have to face and that he'll be able to overcome it all. As all the cards are right side up. Meaning they have positive outcomes if he can see the signs in time. The devil card is last, so that will be the challenge Willam will have to face to bring out all the positive aspects of each card. While the Emperor card primarily relates to Dire, the other cards are about Willam overcoming the challenge of finding the murderer and solving the case. Side note: I don't really like doing tarot readings because of how structured they are. I stick with Oracle cards because they are more free-flowing. But for anyone curious about the cards and what they meant I hope this helps. ^^

I'm a little disappointed that James didn't mention that George C. Scott was also Ebenezer Scrooge in one of the (many) adaptations of The Christmas Carol. He's amazing in that movie too. I was waiting for a joke mentioning that little detail. But, not a huge loss. Looking forward to next week's Kill Count for sure!

George C. Scott is so amazing in horror that I wish he'd done more of it. The Changeling is by far my favorite haunting-type movie, in no small part because of how great Scott's performance as a man whose grief of his own loss plays into his dealings with the supernatural.

*7:40* this was the best reference in a while I appreciate you for that
William Blatty was like "fine , I'll do it myself"
Fabio was once invited to the opening of a roller coaster as soon as the ride started a goose flew into his face so in all the pictures he's spattered in blood
I remember that lmao
That’s really cool! I love little details like this
Thank you for that genuinely interesting tidbit.
You guys always kill it with the jokes. But this particular KC just had me ROLLING. Disturbed ward, "oh no"...but I just completely lost it at "sacrilegious Build-A-Bear"! 🤣🤣🤣
This movie still to this day has the best jumpscare of any horror movie. Maybe right next to the lawnmower scene from Sinister.
I’ve considered the hallway scene the greatest jump scare ever since I saw this film at age twelve in 2003. So glad to finally see it earn it’s reputation 🙌
Bro this episode has some of my favorite jokes James has done. The whole disturbed bit and the Jesus statue black face at the beginning 😂 chef's kisses.
7:58 I live really close to Wilmington lol😭 I love the little details you throw out while counting, which I guess is the origin of the "AND, show you how they were made"
This movie must hold some kind of record in the ol suggested gore-to-actual onscreen gore ratio. The murders are insanely grisly, but we only hear them described.
I know James won’t see this but I just want to say how much I love your videos and how they make my day. You have amazing energy and I can tell you put a lot of time in your videos. If you do see this, I don’t expect you to reply or anything but I want you to keep up the amazing work❤
At 8:43, I was happy James put that Ace of Base song after that phase
Me too, though it gave me a 25 years slap in the face too
Reminds me of the Zohan 🤣
The fact that you guys are Michigan fans makes me love this channel a whole lot more than I already did lol.
Man, I need to rewatch One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. It's been years.
This channel is why I love horror movies I used to not be the biggest fan of them but then I watched the og Friday kill count and was hooked ever since
George C. Scott is so amazing in horror that I wish he'd done more of it. The Changeling is by far my favorite haunting-type movie, in no small part because of how great Scott's performance as a man whose grief of his own loss plays into his dealings with the supernatural.
Every George C Scott movie consists of George lifting his hands to his head and screaming Shut Up
SFDebris has the best intro for Brad Dourif in a Star Trek review -- "and this is Brad Dourif, who you might remember from your nightmares"
Definitely one of the best horror films ever! Glad it’s getting covered by this channel
14:00 "Sacrilegious Build-A-Bear" is now one of my favourite phrases.
I really love how this movie even gives development to the minor characters as much as they could.
Go Blue!!!!!
Finally, Exorcist and Chucky crossover
And Rescuers Down Under! 😂
The chuxorcist 😂
