That speedo menu can really get u in strife I have completely ruined my car by adjusting things I didn’t know about thinking they meant off yet they were a value of a specific function , , I even had my needles aligned all over the place so I couldn’t even tell which menu number I was in, but I did heaps of research and have almost sorted everything out, jb4 should come with a massive user manual yet comes with nothing it’s really really stupid , even just a default setting plaque so u can manually change it all back if shit hits the fan..NO quite odd to be sold to the masses but only the real engine knowledgeable and jb4 versed people can actually navigate through problems and that’s forcing u to buy the cable and app, big money maker I can see why so many cars can blow up with novice car enthusiasts installing this falsely thinking this is an easy play around tuner
Id like to know more about the waste gate position also. I understand what it can do but a video on how the car reacts at different ranges would be helpful. eventually i plan on testing it out between different ranges. Also have u messed with opt 11 at all yet?
Jon Amador Every car will react different to it based on the age of your turbos, and it would be hard to capture those differences on camera. I'll play around with it and see if I could do a video on it.

Ok so I've asked this question before. Don't think I got an answer though. How are you mixing your fuel octane? I mean like e85 gallon for 93 octane gallon? I was thinking of starting out at about a 1/2 tank of 93 and then add in about 2 gallons of e85. Your thoughts please. Also, how high does your oil temperature get. Sorry for all the questions, I just purchased this car and I'm just trying to figure things out. Thanks in advance...
Ariano Robb I answered it - just run the tank low and then add in 2 gallons to start of e85. Next, top off of 93. If you only run half, then your Ethanol mix will be too high. You'll want to log like crazy once you start to ensure everything is working properly. Oil temps stay at 235-240 in the summer max and then 190 ish in the winter time (with oil cooler). It's all good though man 😀
Ariano Robb you'll have to monitor fuel trims and fuel psi for hpfp and lpfp to ensure it's taking it well. If all is good, then move up a gallon to 3 total and repeat
Is the JB4 still relevant today. I have one fitted to my m135i just a few days ago. It seams amazing. The only issue I have is drive train warning. That seams to be when the obd cable some how wiggles loose.

I want to put them in (would have it installed professionally), but do you know if this will be picked up by warranties? I have a warranty through Warranty Direct and if something in the car breaks and I file a claim, would having the JB4 installed void the warranty? Thanks so much and love your vids!
Yes. No question. Bmw did maintain warranties for a mild DinanUpgrade that basically dumped more fuel but did little to change boost, which is where the hidden power reserves of these engines is.
Quick question, im running jb4 on auto tune map and when I do pulls, I notice my boost levels will boost at around 16psi or higher but then as I climb up in the higher rpms it drops boost to some times as low as 6psi. Now is that the auto tune doing that or could it be a boost leak?
HI . I m running the JB4 system on my BMW 335i n54. For some reason when setting up i went wrong somewhere. A transport mode has come up, managed to sort that out, but whenever i pass 160km/h the car goes into a limp mode, fan comes on full speed and car has 0 boost. any suggestions where i could have went wrong.
I recently purchased a 2009 335xi that already had a jb4 installed along with other upgrades but after watching this I was looking through the menus of the tuner and it will not go past 90 or setting 9 as far as the speedometer goes. I was wondering if that is a firmware update that is needed or if it's possible because it's a manual? Could you please point me in the right direction?

I think installing downpipes will give you the loud noise you dont want, was it easy for you to install JB4, am trying to.do the same to my 335xi 2008 soon I will get charge pipe, what else do you think I need in order to put jb4? Thanks.
What about for exhaust sound? I’m trying to make my exhaust sound a little louder or if I tap the gas I want the exhaust to burble. Seen some people do it and they don’t have MHD.
Besides deleting the muffler, resonator, or cats, there's not too much you can do to make it louder. I currently have high flow cats on and when I start the cat after getting the exhaust hot I get burbles. But not really any with just tapping the gas.
Hi, I have a 2007 335i that I just put a jb4 on today and the car will not stay running for over 5 to 10 seconds and dies. Any advance by chance on thing is can check?
So...messing with the jb4 have the speedometer at 0 for the map setting. Rpm at 0 for stock. I press the channel up button and instead of jumping by 1000, it jumps 1500. I.e. Map 1, @ the 1500 mark instead of 1000. Map 2 at 3000 instead of 2000...and so on. How do I recalibrate the rpm dial to only jump by 1000? At rest, it's on the 0. Thanks

On start up, Every time I get into my JB4 and pick a map and get out.. it leaves my flashers on. I need to go in and get out again to disable the flashers, its very annoying. Any idea how to remove/reset that ??!!

Two questions on speedo 3 you have it set at 6100 rpms, is it because power falls off after that, from what i heard what do you think and recommend when to shift i have a f30 335i n55 Manual Transmission. As well as i have catless downpipes so how do i set it up were it only deletes the code for the light because of catless downpipes and anyother codes it will pop a check engine light. Dont want to have a problem im not aware of. Will really appreciate your replys. Thanks
Eddie Bob I keep my shift light set around 6200 also because a) taking the car to actual redline is rare for me unless I'm racing and b) to account for a small reaction time between seeing the shift lights and actually shifting. The JB4 can be set to mask certain codes by negating the signal. Unfortunately, "catless downpipes detected" isn't one that it fixes on it's own. though you can manually delete the codes as needed, there are extra wires that accomplish this. Simply search the "n55 dp fix" and you should be all set.
I have a 2013 Activehybrid 3. Has the n55 however has the hybrid system. Have your heard of anyone running it? And if they’ve had any issues. I’m not sure if the tune will mess with the hybrid system? Thanks

brandonrulz11 after you pick 4,2 go back to 0. Basically hit volume down until it backs out of the menus completely. That keeps your setting for speedo 0 as well. Mine is set to 0,5 2,1 3,6 4,5 5,7 6,3.

Flight1sim I use the miles to empty gauge in the middle to determine how much gas is left. FYI, when you start up the car, the fuel gauge will show current fuel and then switch over to the boost gauge option

Back end flash shifts fuel, timing, Vanos and a few others over to the DME side. Your JB4 would only control the boost. It smooths things out when you have the back end flash on

Im not an expert but i think even on stock the turbo boost goes down at high rpms

You may get some if you Rev it at like 3k-4k and light tap the gas quickly when it idles back down

On menu 5 option 5 &7 doesn't sweep on mine n54 ?? Any ideas i read a pdf and it says 7 turns on and off radio ?
