The Berger panel meant something, in the 60s and 70s when they were new. That, Berger panel meant big block power.... Look it up, think Matt Berger or his dad was the first. So never was a fan of Berger panel 4th gen.
Not bad i had a 96 Rs from 18-20. Then got an 02 Firehawk. Now rollin a 94 Z28. Your driving record will play into your cost, and what type of insurance you go with. I have comp on my Z with 24-7 roadside, and liability on my HHR daily driver.
I'd recommend looking into broadform insurance, especially if you own or drive multiple vehicles. Broadform insures the driver, not the vehicle, and even covers you if you're driving someone else's car (as long as you have permission, that is ;)
ChaosLord is that I like what they call a bond insurance? Thats what i had from like 18 to 22. Very good deal price wise, but if you have project car thats important to you, thats where it sucks because theres no coverage for it.
@@justinfbabay I don't think it's bond insurance, (tho I'm not really sure what bond insurance is. Insurance is super-confusing by design, and I don't really get any of it, honestly). I think we're comparing apples and oranges tho. Broadform (or maybe it's "broad form") isn't the level of coverage like limited liability or comprehensive. It just insures the driver instead of a specific vehicle. I believe you can get full comprehensive coverage with broadform if you so choose. I personally just needed legal coverage, and when I switched from insuring just my Saturn SL to broadform, it only cost about $50 more for 6 months (so like $8/month more), which is a lot cheaper than covering two vehicles separately. The most important thing to remember tho... is to honk when you drive by Vern Fonk.

I’ve owed a 91. Z28. Convertible an a 98 z28 loved them. Both miss. Them both you. Lt1. Or. Def then 5.0 tpi. In 91 an 98. With ls1 love all. Camaro s awesome man wish I still. Had both of mine I’d video. With ya lol awesome 👏 man
3:47-3:52 so basically you can just swap in a L31 vortec or a sbc 350 gm creat engine and it bots in no cutting up required?🤔
You’d have to cut a little bit of the cowl to make a distributor work. With an automatic you’d need a trans controller with a carb setup.
@@CarGuyV8 the cowl is the part of metal that the glass is mounted on right?. But from what I have heard the LT1 350 and the L31 share the same design except for the reverse Cooling except for that they share the same intake bolt pattern right ? .the L31 has the stronger 4 bolt main block 🤷🏽♂️
Thanks Forest
U2
Nice! Badass body style , i wish i could get one
Nice
I just got a 2001 z28 I love your headlights better I love these cars!
Congrats! I’ve always wanted an LS car, they’re just really expensive lol.
@@CarGuyV8 I’ve been watching videos all day love yours man! I know she’s old af but to me she’s a great car! I wanna get upgraded cams and a supercharger I’ve seen so many people turbo there LS1s it’s crazy lol the owner just dropped in a new motor too but she’s really old the interior is a mess. I don’t know what to do first.
Just bought a 94 dropping a new motor in a couple months.
You sound like Hosea from RDR2...
Cool video too
...my 95 is still setting still BUT soon... ;) (smaller radio replacement the panel they use to cover space can be used for more switches if needed)
Some guy tried to tell me my 93 z28 lt1 6 speed wasnt a t56
Cons? It’s not an LS
There is an LT1 out there that holds the street stock quarter mile manual record. It whips LSs on a routine basis.
I have had ls engines in 3 of my cars. I prefer lt1. I do like my ls2 tho. I hate the ls4.
I have a stock 1995 Camaro V6- she had 117k when I bought her last June 2021- 2 owner- want to put flowmaster exhaust on her for a bid of rumble- or better opps? (she is arctic white with those same seats)
Honestly the only exhaust that sounds good on the v6s is the Z28 stock exhaust. Sounds decent without being over the top
About to pick up a 94... Comes with an 80k mile LT1 I'll just have to install it. Should I do anything cool to the motor before I Install it? Sadly I think it's an auto tho :-/
I’d put a mild cam in it. CC503 or something similar. Also longtubes or midlengths. Those two things are lot harder to do once the engine is in the tight 4th Gen engine bay.
I’ve always dreamed of owning one I’m gonna get one
I also need leather or more cushioned seats, probably get a thing at Walmart.
The Berger panel meant something, in the 60s and 70s when they were new. That, Berger panel meant big block power.... Look it up, think Matt Berger or his dad was the first. So never was a fan of Berger panel 4th gen.
That’s good to know
Cool video. Just bought one of these and its good to hear the positive!
i was looking to get a 96’ rs and I was curious about how much the insurance would be. That’s the only thing I am worried about
Not bad i had a 96 Rs from 18-20.
Broadform insures the driver, not the vehicle, and even covers you if you're driving someone else's car (as long as you have permission, that is ;)
ChaosLord is that
I like what they call a bond insurance?
I have a 94 z28 white with same interior
I've got a 88 3rd gen and just picked up a 97 rs for 500...runs and drives v6/s speed car 30th anniversary edition in red
I really like the third gens. What does it have in it?
Dude is from New York?
95 Z28 6-speed convertible with 195K miles. 17 inch C5 Corvette wheels with 98-02 larger brakes, tubular rear control arms and panhard rod, SLP Bilstein SS shocks, 33mm front swaybar, all bushings, transmission mount and engine mounts replaced with poly, subframe connectors, strut tower brace, Pro 5.0 billet shifter (best T-56 shifter EVER!), Magnaflow muffler. I do all my own repairs and stunts! Still driven daily!
Sounds like a good setup!
I wish the hood was visibly when driving I feel like I'm driving a Econoline
I’m with you. The 98-02 ws6 is nice because you can see the Ram Air hood.
just bought the 3.4L 1994 with 182k on it, planning on putting an LT1 in it and making it a Z28
That’s cool! I’m about to be getting a 95 3.4 5 speed. I’m thinking of LS swapping it
At 6:45 that white one with the black roof and then the black wheels, sittin dam near on the ground!! That thing looked amazing!! Also shout out to you for making a nice video that is clear and understandable. Not all my car umm is umm pretty umm and it umm fast too ummm. LoL im sure you know what i am talking about!! So ya good job man!!
That Camaro you mentioned was the look I was building towards before selling the car. Thanks for watching!
Can you reply to this post woth the link to the cons video . I love tbese cars id like to see your video o the cons i loved the pros were on the same page i wanna know if we have the same cons @CarGuyV8
Sorry I never made a cons video with this car before I sold it.
Cool man I have 93 z28
I purchased one of the very few LT4’s brand new in late 97. I wish I had never sold it!!!
If you are going to drop anything into it drop an LS into it. Ls engines are cheap as hell and love boost
put some zr1s
Hell yeah, they looks so good with them
I just got a 98 camero rs automatic trying to see what type of spec can I put it on it if you can tell me more about the car that would be helpful
200 hp, 225 ft-lbs
cons is mirrors and blindspoy driving a stick that blind spot is pretty bad
What the hell does the transmission have to do with the blind spots
I think I might want t tops for my 95 f body, camo. Can I do it as a hard top removable or do I have to have glass.
If I remember correctly, people have made the hard top cars into t tops before but it was a lot of work. Easier to just get a t-top car.
I have a 94 3.4 V6 great cars
