Blind Guardian with „The Bard‘s Song & Valhalla“ from Wacken 2016 has one of the most insane crowd interactions/singing ever.
If you pass Wacken grounds and listen carefully, you can still hear the fans singing 🤘
Blind Guardian are an iconic metal band from Germany.

      I second this.
Blind Guardian are one of the pioneers of Power Metal and "The Bards song" is a great ballad while "Valhalla" is more in the style Blind Guardian began with in their founding days as a Speed Metal band. And the crowd participation is always great when this band plays. Some would say that you are not allowed to enter the "Holy Ground" of Wacken if you don't know the lyrics of "The Bard's Song". It became a hymn to regular Wacken visitors.

Melissa Bonny is vocalist in the (German) band Ad Infinitum. They just released their new single "Unstoppable". She also sings in the new band "The Dark side of the moon" (German band) which consists of members from Feuerschwanz, Amarnathe, and Ad Infinitum, they have released one song so far, a GOT cover of Jenny of Oldstones". Original songs by Feuerschwanz you must see is "Das Elfte Gebot" oder "Im Bauch des Wals". More German bands? Erdling (Absolutus Rex), Eisbrecher (Miststück), MONO INC (Children of the Dark), Blutengel (Asche zu Asche), Oomph! (Augen auf!)

Thanks for this. I love this video, always makes me chuckle. Melissa Bonny is from Ad Infinitum. She's great. Saltatio Mortis-Hypa Hypa, My Mother Told Me, Wo Sind die Clowns), Die Kreatur (collab between Dero from Oomph! and Chris from LOTL), Oomph!, Also a song called Mittelfinger Richtung Zukunft by SaMo with Swiss und die Andern and LOTL's collaboration with Swiss too - Schwarz Tot Gold. So many German bands, so little time!!!

@@Jaimunji Awesome. I look forward to that. (I'm not sure what you mean by taking a break from German metal - what other kind is there!? ha ha) By the way Hauptmann and Prinz Hodi always wear those same costumes. Oh also Feuerschwanz also did a Black Metal version of one of their own songs which was funny. Schubsetanz. Someone also mentioned Das Elfte Gebot which is pretty good too. I love Marching on Versailles by Ad Infinitum but they are a Swiss band, so technically not in the German list, but maybe can make an exception ha.

@@SuzanneVictoria42 As I understand it, three of Ad Infinitum's current members (out of four) are German, leaving Melissa Bonny as the sole Swiss member (from the French speaking part of Switzerland btw).

The song "Ding" is originally kind of a dancehall song and was a huge success for the band Seeed who are famous for their dancehall/reggae style and are often played in clubs. Feuerschwanz metalized it a bit and the result was this cool cover. They have several other covers on their latest album such as "Engel" by Rammstein, "Hier kommt Alex" by Die Toten Hosen, "Amen and Attack" by Powerwolf or the Ed Sheeran cover you mentioned. All in all seven covers on a second CD of their album "Das elfte Gebot" ("The eleventh Commandment").
Some original songs from Feuerschwanz I would suggest are: "Metfest" ("Meadfest"), "Die Hörner hoch" ("Horns up"), "Schubsetanz" ("Pushdance", by popular demand from fans they even did a Back Metal version of this) or Kampfzwerg ("Battledwarf").

If you'd like rare serious song from *Feuerschwanz* try "Das 11. Gebot" (the 11th commandment) - it's as new as the Ding cover and has a pretty decent video😉.

Since they are suggested way to little, Nachtblut is a great German dark metal band, my personal favorites are "Leierkinder" (Children of the lyre) and "Lied für die Götter" (Song for the gods), but they are both on their 'softer' side 😉. For something harsher, try "Meine Grausamkeit kennt keine Grenzen" (My cruelty knows no bounds).

What about a female fronted band from Germany wich has stylistic influences from Korn, Slipknot and In This Moment?
    -> Null Positiv
Their highly charismatic, energetic and powerful singer Elli Berlin has a large range from clean over harsh vocals up (or better down) to growls. Her voice is really unique in a very positive way.
A band that is definitely worth to be reacted to
The song "Independenz" is a very good song to experience the range of singer Elli Berlin:
    ua-cam.com/video/QpvgryCwxeo/v-deo.html
I love their power ballad „Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer“ (incl. English caption) which such an intense atmosphere. Ellis voice and charisma is just awesome:
    ua-cam.com/video/lOIy-i6c_iI/v-deo.html
Anther good start to get to know them is also „Freiheit“ (Freedom), which has English subtitles:
    ua-cam.com/video/5GaqkD3jJB8/v-deo.html
Their song „Friss Dich auf“ is pure heaviness and has a creepy video:
    ua-cam.com/video/V6CJ0Rq8sZU/v-deo.html
Hass” (Hate“ Yes, it is as heavy as you can guess by the title)

i might not get all the bands but here is a rough list of who she worked with: first her main bands evemore, rage of light, ad infinitum, the dark side of the moon she started in evenmore then joined rage of light, evenmore stoped existing, then started her own band ad infinitum and has then started a new band the dark side of the moon with the guitarist from feuerschwanz( the one with the hat) and one of the background chicks on the harp and the drummer from amaranthe; then the bands she had just a few songs with: feuerschwanz (ding(seed cover)), beneath my sins(try), warkings(under the name queen of the damned( odins sons and sparta)),Malefistum(towards the sun, this memorie, left without a cause, time, fear of tommorow, the seed in your life, atomic bomb, my enemie), trias(nothing else matters), then 2 badns she isnt even listed in the title:skeletoon(farewell) and kambrium(blood soaked goddess)
and a decent amount of covers on her own youtube channel
and not a single bad song imo

😂😂😂 Das ist noch verrückter als Electric Callboy.
Seeed is für mich gleichbedeutend mit tiefen Bass-Rhythmen. Deshalb gefällt mir das Original auch etwas besser. 😉
Aber das hier mag ich irgendwie trotzdem. Ist jedenfalls lustiger als das Original. 😂😊

    Hi there,
so you asked for some more recommandations for some german bands? I think the following ones you might like:
    Feuerschwanz - Metfest (ua-cam.com/video/N39NXEzDJyE/v-deo.html)
Null Positiv - Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer (ua-cam.com/video/lOIy-i6c_iI/v-deo.html) this is some kind of "ballad", but I think it is the perfect song to start with.
    Null Positiv - Freiheit (ua-cam.com/video/5GaqkD3jJB8/v-deo.html)
Avantasia - The Raven Child (ua-cam.com/video/CTN2ZzpQRh4/v-deo.html) - some kind of power metal
Mono Inc. - Children Of The Dark (ua-cam.com/video/g-Wc-gdEL1k/v-deo.html) here the link to the original version (feat. Chris Harms from Lord Of The Lost). In my opinion, this is the better one

The fist german Band who comes to mind is of course Rammstein or Blind Guardian, but maybe you want something what has not yet an internetional carrer like them. Apocalyptica feat. Nina Hagen with the Rammstein Cover of Seemann might be interessting with her strange but amazing voice. Another amazing Band ( A-cappela-Heavy-Metal) is van Canto especially their cover from 'Tha Bards Song' or 'Rebellion'. Or the Band Vogelfrey with Waffenbruder.

Feuerschwanz are fantastic, they’re a German folk/medieval/metal/parody band, of their original tracks I suggest you check out Schubsetanz and Kampfzwerg.
The incredible Melissa Bonny is in 3 bands, Ad Infinitum ( watch Unstoppable) , Rage Of Light (watch I Can, I Will) and a new band comprising members of other bands that are doing game and tv covers, they’re called The Dark Side Of The Moon (check out their track Jenny Of Oldstones).
She also does guest vocals for Warkings as The Queen Of The Damned.
As for other German bands :
Orden Ogan, Saltatio Mortis, Null Positiv, Stahlmann.
    🤘🏻🙂

Schubsetanz (at least the original version) might get blocked though, it happened to another reactor recently. Though one of the band members is apparently asking their (former) record label to help lift the block. But all songs from their 2020 album (like Kampfzwerg) are on Napalm Records, and that label seems to be completely cool with reaction videos.

Your interested into something completely different and cool? Where dark rock meets glam metal meets gothic meets synths meets clear vocals meets growls and screams?
-> Lord of the Lost“ from Hamburg / Germany.
Their singer Chris Harms changes between beautiful clear, dark singing and grunts&growls. They are great musicians and released beside their regular albums three acoustic „Swan Songs“ longplayer with a classic ensemble.
They just released a new album and four videos from this album. The latest is „The Gospel of Judas“. A very good start with Lord of the Lost:
    ua-cam.com/video/iUCbQ1rKOUg/v-deo.html
Another suggestion to get into their music is „Under the sun“:
    ua-cam.com/video/O9t8ViSAr70/v-deo.html
Also some cool recent videos from their current album „Judas“:
„For they know not what they do“:
    ua-cam.com/video/_x-87xd_91w/v-deo.html
    „Priest“:
    ua-cam.com/video/xL3pC-_p4Bk/v-deo.html
I just love this band and the boys themselves. They are so cool, crazy, kind and friendly. I did shoot them several times as concert photographer including backstage documentaries
Some suggestions out of so many great songs:
    "Raining Stars": Beautiful synth driven
„Full Metal Whore“: Heavy, Heavier, …
„A Splintered Mind“: Acoustic version incl. classic instrumentation
    „Loreley“: Their most popular song
    "Ruins": Heavy
