I got a fun story about this. I got this bundle for Christmas, can’t remember what year, but we had a launch-day PlayStation like the bottom one when you showed all three. What you missed is that the earliest models didn’t come with an “AV multi-out” cable to connect to composite TVs. It came with a weird 4-plug boxy thing that connected to all three RCA jack outputs (as well as the 2.4v 2.5mm headphone jack thing, for power). There was no way, on Christmas day, for me to connect the gun to any composite output, because the adapter couldn’t be used at the same time as the RF output box thing. I was so sad haha
Loved the Guncon, even imported Time Crisis from Japan so I could get it ASAP, only annoyance was they should have added recoil to it, maybe even a footpedal. But I was most disapointed with the lack of recoil.
Yeah the lack of recoil is defiantly felt (or not in this case), some of the third party guns have it but those just tend to be more of a rumble and not actually tied to the game input.
@@GouldFishOnGames Yeah, I fell for that a few times, bought guns I thought had recoil, but just rumbled, so it was a good 2 years before an authentic recoil was released. Hi there! Just bought "Resident Evil Survivor". Shooting doesn't work with the g-con 45. I don't think that is a problem with the gun, because it works perfectly with "Time Crisis"! Any idea? Greetings!
I've not played that game but looking up some info on it: "The Japanese and European versions of the game were compatible with Namco's GunCon/G-Con 45 light gun... light-gun compatibility was removed from the North American release due to shooting" So that might be your issue if you are using the US/NTSC version of the game.

Hard to say, double check that you have both the gun connected to the first player port and that you have the yellow cable connected. If they both look good then do you get anything in game? does pressing any of the buttons on the gun do anything on screen? I've not had to trouble shoot a GCon as they have just worked for me, so its possible the gun might be broken.
@@MrJ0mmy That seems very odd, it might be the video cable isn't working right and taking the video to the screen, or the splitter that send a copy of the video to the lightgun and the TV isn't working?
No, some of the third party guns did but they typically just made them rumble every time the trigger was pressed. Rather then when you actually fired in game, so it wasn't great.
