you did the reaction for Breathe. This was immediately after, in fact when the lights come up you can see them pushing the piano off the stage. After Pau went through what she did with Breathe, to get back on her drums and kill it like she did is amazing.
I think you're starting to realize what I realized when I started following them about 3 years ago, they are special. I have yet to hear something I don't like from them. I feel that we are watching legends in the making and that rarely happens. Their entire journey has been captured on video for everyone to see since they were like 3 or 4 yrs old playing piano.

Your facial reaction to this song, I have seen that before. A while back a fan filmed The Warning on stage introducing their cover of Enter Sandman. A security guard standing in front of the crowd, facing the camera. When The Warning started playing Enter Sandman, the guard’s face said “WTF!”. Then for the rest of the song, the guard with his back to The Warning, his face mirrored your expression. The grin says it all! LOL

That straight cover has 25.7 million hits on UA-cam. It was the viral video that got them noticed and sent them on their way. So this version comes full circle!
The girls' breakthrough on UA-cam was their straight up cover of Enter Sandman when they were 14, 12 and 9, 26+million views to this day. That was recorded 10 years ago. They recorded this version with Alessia Cara for the Metallica Blacklist album, with a cool music video. Then they performed it live without her, with a great performance at their Téatro Metropolitan concert in 2022 ( full concert released exactly one year later. Last year at their 10th anniversary concert (this concert at the Pepsi Center in CDMX = Mexico City) they played the best version ever (imo). And also this concert was released exactly one year after.
It was wonderful for Metallica to write this song for the Warning! 😉 This is the first song on Metallica's Blacklist album, and they instructed the musicians selected to do these tributes to use the original lyrics, but otherwise, do what your want with the music, turn it upside down if you want to. They had about 10 days total to get this together, record, and submit. It was originally done with Alessia Cara, and she sings part of it in the OMV, but also still is in for the background Whoa-oh's
And the version they created for the Blacklist album and OMV was arranged and recorded in a week working remotely with Alessia Cara in Canada (no strings in that version).
I tear up a little listening to every Warning song. They are tears of joy and pride. Joy because of how beautifully they create and convey emotions. And pride because I have watched them grow up to become such amazing humans and musicians. I feel connected like a great uncle, and so greatfull for who they have become and what they have achieved. I wish for them only the best.
Yeah, we all had the same reaction. I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Dany and the strings very sweetly puts you to bed, then rouses the troops, shares a little prayer, the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the Sandman tale told as a haunting, dark lullaby. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one.
yes, many people have liked this over the origina....l...I tear up everytime I hear this version...so do not worry about your trip listening to The Warning because you will have a few emotional reactions...
For what it’s worth, I think the studio version (which can be heard in the excellent OMV) is even eerier - more haunting and ethereal. It’s well worth checking out.
The string ensemble accompanying "Black Holes" and "Enter Sandman" was a special addition for The Warning's 10th anniversary concerts last year. Metallica had asked The Warning to cover "Enter Sandman" in collaboration with Canadian pop singer Alessia Cara for *The Metallica Blacklist* album, celebrating the 30th anniversary of *The Black Album* in 2021. Lars Ulrich told all the bands involved, "Pick a song. Do what you want with it. If you want to play it backwards or turn it on its head, we respect and appreciate it." The Warning and Alessia composed and recorded their version in just 10 days over Zoom. Since Alessia couldn’t travel to Mexico due to COVID, she appears as a projection in the official music video. They performed their version live with Alessia once as a special event. In other performances, her "woah woah" vocals are included on the backing track. Another notable performance of their version, without the string section, was at Teatro Metropolitan in 2022. The Warning’s connection to "Enter Sandman" dates back to 2014, when Dany was 14, Pau was 12, and Ale was just 9. They recorded a straightforward cover and uploaded it to UA-cam because the file was too large to email to their family. The video went viral and now has over 26 million views and essentially launched their career. Metallica's guitarist Kirk Hammett even tweeted, "the drummer kicks maximum ass!" about their 2014 cover.
Pau back there killing it as if she didn't just spill her heart and soul out all over the stage just a minute before. The one minor thing I'd change about this is to quiet the strings down just a little bit at the end. They almost washed out the final riff.
I love Metallica, I’ve seen them 4 times but I like this version better. I want to hear this version, with the strings, in a Mission Impossible or James Bond movie, especially the ending! ⚡️🤘

Nice of Metallica to write a song for The Warning. :) This version of the song is epic with the orchestra behind them. Epic version and one of the best song covers ever if you can still call it a cover as they have rearranged it so much it is a completely different song. Great reaction and will be here for the journey.

Hi vintage_sol, listening to any of The Warning songs for the first time, I always got this massive sense of pride, where that came from I have no idea but it just goes to show when you know you love something in music it also encompasses who's playing it and then the respect to and for them that just gets confirmed with every new song. Cheers for your reaction.
The Warning did the right thing here. It's a cover of an iconic song, which I don't usually like to see bigger bands do- Why?. But it is different enough to make it interesting, because the orchestral elements. Dani is not much of a shredder on guitar, but in their normal music she doesn't need to be as It's a whole band sound. Anyway looking forward to seeing them in April 2025. This is the only version performed with strings so far. This was their tenth anniversary show and the strings were students from a local music conservatory in their hometown, Monterrey.
