National Youth Week

CS Hon Ababu-Terrah Egh on 7th of August presided over the launch of the National Youth Week (IYD) ahead of the International Youth Day (IYD ) Celebrations. A set of events have been scheduled to engage, involve and discuss diverse issues around the youth who make up the largest demographic unit in Kenya
CS Ababu pointed out that locally, the global event would be marked through Expert talks and Panel Discussions, Exhibitions, Entertainment and Key note addresses among others.
“The National Youth Week (NYW) and International Youth Day (IYD) for the year 2023 focuses on youth’s energy, innovations, initiatives and dynamism in engaging youth towards a sustainable world in line with the IYD theme of ‘Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World’. It exposes their potential and abilities as well as their contributions to development in their societies and the realization of the aspirations of the Kenya Kwanza Plan under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
