This is cool, but I'm begging you to get a respirator. Not just for resin work, but spray paint particulates can get in your lungs so easily when you spray paint with little to no ventilation (like indoors on your kitchen island, for example). Just want you to be healthy so you can stick around to do more diys for many years to come!
People comment this on just about every video she posts and I’m starting to think she’s ignoring them. It’s frustrating since so many of these eclectic interior designers have young audiences yet I see so few wearing PPE.
I wouldn't spray paint in the house, only in the garage, because the paint particles go everywhere when you spray, they are just invisible. I had a situation where i spray painted my head temporary haircolor spray, and i had to wash my nose inside out because my nostrils were full of paint. Now i always wear mask
Just a heads up if you intend on having pets, they will learn how to open these doors! One of my sisters cats figured out how to stand on his hind legs, push the lever and get into every room that wasn’t locked. Not a problem in most cases, but it’s good to know ahead of time! Also I agree about the other comments about using a respirator, it’s so important! The damage that comes from breathing particulates is cumulative and can’t be fixed. Even if you haven’t used a respirator in the past and currently feel like you’re fine without it, it’s never too late to start!
I can’t stand door knobs, and one of the first things I do when I buy a house, is get rid of the knobs, install handles. I’ve never had a pet open the door using the handle. Does it happen to people? Yes. But for you to say if she gets pets, they “will” learn how to open the doors, is just wrong.
We had a cat who figured out she could open the basement door by shifting her weight on it a certain way until it would pop open. She's the only cat I've had that figured it out. Now cabinets and drawers is a different story. 😊
Girlie please for the love of all that is holy, get a respirator!!! They are cheaper than you think, and your lungs will thank you in the long run. Sincerely, a fellow crafter who works with toxic materials P.S. open a window and turn on a fan so that the air will clear out faster once the craft is done as well
The yellow one is the only one that's "slightly lighter". The pink and the blue a MULTIPLE shades lighter and don't look as good as the yellow one does.
Besides the reasonable respirator recommendations, people don’t seem to be aware these ”lever style” door handles are the near exclusive norm in a lot of the world.
They’re not “lever style”, lol. They’re door handles. The others are called door knobs. You’re right about the rest of the world. I never had a house with door knobs until I moved to the US. Door knobs are horrible, so I install door handles instead.
My aunt had all her doorknobs swapped out for doorhandles years ago when she started feeling the effects of arthritis. They're much easier on her hands.

You are so talented you have all the creativity i want to have. Keep doing you girly dont waste tht talent. You should even open a store and sell your products
The paint will do a lot of the work for you, so the first step is buying a high quality paint (in terms of what's easily accessible: Duplicolor is the best, Krylon is about 80% as good, and Rustoleum should be avoided. Spray paint is not the place to try to save money). The orange peel texture can also be minimized by properly sanding and priming the piece, but to remove the texture completely the part will need to be sanded again after painting, and then again after you spray a clear coat if you're planning to use one. After the piece is sprayed you can hit it with a piece of wet 1000 grit and work your way up to like 12,000 to get it smooth and shiny, but stop around 4,000 if you're going for a matte look. Be gentle, let the sandpaper do the work and do not think you can get away with starting with a lower grit to make it go faster. It's a long process by nature. If you've never done it, do a test piece first and look up proper technique before you do. I learned to do this in design school in model making class.
I love the way this looks but I don’t know about you but I hate the texture of dried paint and I wouldn’t want to feel that every time I walk through a door
This is so reckless. Every spray paint can literally says use in a properly ventilated area with respirators and turn off anything that could ignite (like the stove…). Please don’t follow what random people on social media do and either read the directions or consult professionals.
Spray painting inside without a mask and goggles is f*ckin psychopath behavior! Also this is cute and all but you’ll most likely have to paint them every year or every other I almost guarantee it.
@@crayolaclouds2696I hope they don't have pets. My Border Collie can open a round doorknob. My fat, lazy, grumpy cat can work that lever. It's more annoying than you think, not being able to keep animals out of anywhere.

They look amazing, but please use protective gear if doing this inside & open all windows. You deserve to enjoy your hard work for a long time 🙂
The yellow door makes me want to paint my bathroom yellow oml 😭 your style is so iconic!!

@@kiwigirlNZ That’s fair! I amend my previous statement, this is only a risk with pets who are little scallywags and like to get into mischief.
I once saw a video of a cat opening the knob ones too😭 he grabbed it with both paws and opened it
