I dont think theres really a category that Gopro wins, everything is better with the DJI. bigger sensor, fast charging, better colour, better audio including being able to use plug and play USB mics, better mount system. I'm probably forgetting things...

Literally got the DJI Action 4 yesterday and it's amazing from a practicality pov. The quick magnet mount, gain adjustment and low light quality was what made me move from GoPro. The only pain was trying to get an adapter to work with a TRS lav mic but it seems DJI have released their own adapter now. And also the battery life on the DJI is far superior. Managed to somehow get nearly 2 hours of 4K 60 footage with 20% remaining. EDIT: Good point about the file transfer. For whatever reason on my GoPro 8 Black, plugging the cable to a computer to view files never worked. I would have to transfer the files first. With DJI, I can just plug it in and view the files directly via the OTG connection and only transfer the files i want. Saves me literally hours.
Had the adapter problem too! The Boya does NOT work with Action4. I went with Apple adapter. Works perfectly. $9 at Walmart 👍🏻

I have GoPro 12 and it’s a good camera. I just got DJI delivered yesterday and it better camera. Quick connect/disconnect, night time quality and ability to connect microphone without stupid media mod, DJI is a clear winner in my opinion.
nice review! I notice the DJI's FOV is wider and the audio is clearer. Gopro audio is more bassy, its like your inside of a bathroom. I had gopro Hero HD, hero 3+ and hero 5 and now I just switched to DJI action 4. I hope you make a lowlight/night ride comparison of the two! :D

Looks to me like the DJI has a mutch better picture quality. Gopro almost seemed like it had a slight chopy feel to it.

Thankyou for the review between both camera's. I've just ordered the DJI to capture my son's kart racing footage and to replace our current Ghost XL camera which is miles behind on audio and image quality.

You can definitely see the GoPro is shooting 4K because it looks crispier and more detailed. The audio though is not very good when you're going fast. The DJI on the other hand looks smoother, maybe because it's shooting at 60 FPS and not 30. The audio is way better than the GoPro when going fast. The DJI also looks like it has a wider angle and you can see more of what's going on on the road. Personally, I prefer the DJI set up because, to me, it looks better for moto-vlogging. the DJI would make a perfect set up if you were to shoot 4K instead of 2.7 K (you can see the footage was upscale to 4K from lower quality)

You can slide an nd filter over gopros lens as well. You just need to buy the ones that slide over. I'm interested in the DJI now I'll probably pick one up 👍
Video on the GoPro was way better than DJI even though it was shooting at 30fps. Sound quality on the other hand…I think DJI gets the win here.
sound and quality its good on gopro but the gopro has a litle bit to much air noise and on the DJI 4 the view is better and the sound good ig also the qualitity

Definitely prefer the picture and audio quality of the DJI, however I feel that your voice sounds slighlty clearer (atleast on my phone) when your at a stand still on the gopro
DJI definitely takes my vote though, the amount of view FOV you get from the DJI is so much better!

DJIB osmo action 4 is definitely better in all aspects. Sound Quality is not bad either. 🔥
The error is because you recorded in MP4 and not MOV and looks like you are trying to use Apple. If you open or edit those MP4 files on a Windows PC it should work. You need to record videos in Apple format which is MOV

the sound on the gopro is sooooooo good and raw of both you and the bike . but in the dji the audio is muffled. I think you should use the go pro for events , shows etc and leave the freeway riding , cruising etc to the dii.

when it comes to a perfect balance, GO PRO wins!! the audio is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! and the image quality is great too
and since its a moto vlog, the audio plays a HUGE ROLE hehe :)

DJI has better smoothness and clarity of video edges during high-speed driving, while gopro feels less smooth in the video, which is my feeling
Last Gopro I had was a Hero 4 Session... , I even have one of those sena Prism action cameras. They just sit and collect dust.

I think they are both great cameras. Although I use Gopro, DJI wins IMO because of the lowlight quality compared to gopro. Gopro needs to step it up or get left behind lol

Go pro better when you are not moving too much but dji is much better in every moment.. even the riding time dji is better then go pro . But the audio when you are talking to others dji looses to go pro but i prefer DJI.
You need a HVEC codec for high efficiency GoPro footage on PC

I mean the battery life alone makes me want to get a DJI already. Also its already cheaper than a gopro and you dont need to buy a media mod. Saves you money at the end of the day. And the end product is almost exactly the same. Id say most viewers cant even tell the difference.

I own a gopro 10 with media mod. Its so heavy that my chin mount is comming undone. The dji looks so much more user friendly and the quality of Video AND sound is MUCH bettter. Im buying a dji cam now 👍🏼👍🏼 Gopro is lacking hardddd😂 be safe gang 🤟🏼🔥

Im here as a fanboi of DJI shit and im saying that there isnt a better setup than the DJI osmo + mic setup for motovlogging easily w/ awesome footage and audio quality. Maybe only other thing would be to use a 360 cam as an extra camera... but im too lazy to edit all that footage and deal with framing... But... if the 360 cams were better I'd just rock a single 360 cam. Dji mics are great b/c u can have one in ur helmet + one in ur backpack and then u can mix down voice + engine, its awesome.

GoPro : more vivid, more sharpened that's make to much darker in shadow

DJI is the opposite, and handle detail without too much sharpened and contrast also less vivid make it more smoothest to look

yeah the go pro is so much worse just because of the terrible distortion. recording in 4k will always look better even only looking through a 1080p veiwport please record in 4k on the osmo!

My feedback as a recent owner of a GoPro 12: I use it because I can connect the helmet comms directly to it via Bluetooth. It saves 2 separate audio tracks (helmet headset + external mics). This allows me to select which parts of the audio I want to use in post. No media mod necessary, no extra wires. Just simplicity.
Also, the file transfer works fine from the camera to the computer (in windows).
But thanks for the comparison, alwways useful to get the diferent prespectives from someone that uses both
Hello, which intercom brand do you use? I use cardo talk pack edge, but when I edited the video, I noticed that there were sound cuts.
Senna sc2. If you connecting through Bluetooth don't forget you can't use quick capture. The camera needs to be on and connected to the comms first

Has anyone tried audio recording from the cardo packtalk edge rather than gopro? it saves audio to your phone, I haven't tried it, and it may be a little bit of a pain to synch / edit, but maybe the audio is better?

Frankly, I'm quite confused as to why gopro is so famous, they literally ALWAYS HAVE some kind of issue, while DJI just... works.
It just works.
And since the arrival of the Insta360, I really see no reason whatsoever to buy a gopro.
I never bought a gopro in the past and I surely would never buy one in the present.
