You have to be your own advocate. Get a second or even third opinion

I have Endometriosis and it is painful. I’ve had surgeries as well, therefore I wasn’t able to have children. If you’re young take care of yourself and get help fast if you want to have children don’t let it get to late for you like it did for me.

Please get the definition of Endometriosis correct. Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. This tissue can be found in various places, such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the lining of the pelvis. It can also affect the appendix, bladder, ureters, diaphragm, etc. Interview a doctor that performs excision and treats other co-morbid conditions like Adenomyosis and IC to name a few. A hysterectomy can cure Adenomyosis because it affects the cervix and uterus. Keep healthy ovaries if possible.

Thank you for sharing your story. The medical industry needs to do better at listening to women and minority women.

Medical gaslighted happens to everyone. When I was a young teenager I told my doctor my legs felt weird. I was getting horrible cramps in my legs at night. He told me I was too young to have bad circulation. Come to find out I had scoliosis. If they would have listened to me I could have been properly treated when my bones were still growing. Now I am in my 40s and in constant pain. Only Jesus can help me now

I thought this was her daughter when I saw her ❤️ I clicked this video so fast because I recently went to a doctor who paid my complaints of pain no attention....just take birth control and iron she said

Endometriosis is not uterus tissue growing outside of the uterus. It is tissue that is similar to uterine tissue but it is not the same.

I’ve been dealing with health issues for a couple of years and the doctors keep gaslighting and misdiagnosing me never finding a solution or even wanting to help me they tell me it’s all in my head. I am Latina and I’ve been pushed around I’m exhausted with the pain. Praying and trusting in God is all I have 🙏🏼

The medical profession unfortunately has history of misdiagnosing women of color with the wrong thing. I went through something similar years ago in my younger years where the doctor jumped to conclusions to an std just at a glance. I knew this was untrue but that doesn't mean this doctor didn't scare me! Days later i came back and it was absolutely NOTHING at all like what they said it was!!!! No apology for scaring me or anything. This doctor knew i was a single young mother of color and just jumped on this negative diagnosis without testing first before assuming!

Tamron please put the full interview up!!!

    I can relate

My 1st period was horrific. Guess what in my early fourties, I was diagnosed with PMS, endometriosis, a tilted uterus, fibroids, and a pituitary chemical imbalance. Talking about wanting to kill. Let me stop there. Oh yes, the pills I was given. The mercy and grace of God kept me from literally murdering. Prayers for all the ladies suffering from these symptoms. Jesus please help!

I am a part of a community where I have daily symptoms of chronic pain, headaches, swelling..brain fog, chronic insomnia, and the worse fatigue, female issues...I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue...I was originally advised by Dr's that all issues were related to being overweight and overworked...even after the diagnosis for many years...I still have difficulty receiving care for fibromyalgia...a lot of Dr's don't believe that fibro doesn't exist...so much so that it's is considered a syndrome and not a disease...between the Dr's lack of knowledge and the lack of research for medications...I have ended up with a boat load of other health problems that are always over looked....because I am sometimes overwhelmed and don't have the energy to fight these Dr's for the appropriate care...

Hi RiRi504 Beautiful Daughter! I am so grateful to God that your wisdom, intellect and your support from your wonderful mother saved your life! Please continue to be an advocate for women of all races, but especially african american women that are ignored about their symptoms and health issues.

  • @monshaa

I knew mom, Rita looked familiar. Saw her on JHud show.

  • @danharkins5673

Wow I feel so bad for her god bless her 🙏

  • @PRETTYBROWNEYES1982

Love the mom's videos let me get that out. But many Dr's. don't even take black women and their symptoms serious. I have had the same symptoms and been to ultrasound appointments pelvic exams pepsmears blood work and unnecessary tests and results when I know that's not the issue. My periods are so heavy at times I have to wear a tampon a pad and adult diapers on top of wearing two pair of panties and some leggings under my clothes. I've never had heavy periods til about 4 years ago. I literally be bleeding like I'm dying.
