I just went on my own in July. At my former shop, they used Opti Aim. Sucked. Support was awful. I heard about Car Cal and couldn’t be happier. Mike and Craig were super helpful. Mike has bailed me out a couple times. Car Cal is fast and accurate. Thanks for doing this video!

We've been asking these questions for many, many years. Long before ADAS Calibration equipment was ever available. Early high end European vehicles had ADAS, long before aftermarket diagnostic suppliers wanted to sell "mugs" an aluminum calibration stand for 25k. Back then, no calibration was required according to the dealer and nobody said a word. Nobody...
I've watched the progress of you guys at Auto Glass Direct and respect what you do for your local customers. In regards to your opinion to "The Auto Glass Industry", you don't "self censor" and in my opinion that also should be respected. Even if one does not always agree. The comments you make are NOT anonymous and in my opinion this is progress against the current tide of virtue signalers.
Back to business in regards to the Car Cal Pod Q&A. If every mm matters for Calibration, why is the camera in many cases seated in a flimsy plastic housing that wiggles several mm from side to side?. (If I'm an engineer, this is NOT good design, if accuracy is paramount). Further, why are many cameras seated in 2mm (3D like printed) plastic clips? (These are fragile and don't age well)
Finally, if a vehicle warranty is void if any mods are made. (mud tires, bull bar, suspension kit), is this transparent during the sale of the vehicle? We get this question many times after the fact.
I get it, dealers are trying to make a quid, but one can't burn both ends of the candle. Depending on the Brochure you get, there are one of two sales tactics. "The Customer Brochure" = Bonus Options, safety devices, great resale value. "Technicians Brochure" = Large profit margins, new streams of revenue, never ending problems to fix expensive "disposable parts".
The industry has long been too top heavy, with funny hand shake parasites looking to skim the industry . We need hands on/semi hands on motivational workers to take this industry to new levels of quality that will NOT be held back with red tape and cones.
PS. I wish you would have let the old fat guy on the LH side have say. Looks like he may have had something to say. I reckon he's had some experiences. However, since you are finding your feet, it's to be expected. Haha...
