I've been looking for an X31 review and hadn't seen much. Finally picked up an X31 90/100 to replace my 216 which I've been happy with accept they keep ripping side knobs early. I couldn't be happier. Happy enough to try the rear. I'm hoping it'll be the tire I run Ironman at the 24hrs of Glen Helen. Thanks for the review.
What size nitromousse would you run on the x31, 80/100 21? The m59 is listed as requiring the 21-225. I haven't found a recommendation for the x31 So would the stiffer case x31 run well with a 21-220?
Same. Bent my shifter on the first test since my finicky Midwest lever was making the clutch clip (yeah Morgan I watched your other video of s*$t you hate :) and suffered all day. It was fun tho!
Those are prime conditions for a VE33s! Loved that tire on my yz250x

So awesome- South Fork!
Braaap!
So good
Nice Morgan!

I think I may try one of these next. What size nitromousse in the 110/100 18? NM305? And do you run beadlocks on your moussed tires?
Yes 305 and yes rim locks
Test #2 on day #2 eat my lunch... A gathering of chit was needed to continue... Back in Texas now...
That was tough

I run the 220
Do you prefer these tires over one of the many gummy rear options?
I do. I ride in too many different kinds of terrain and I wear gummy tires out too fast.
You need to race Tecate enduro
I agree
What size front? Tried the 90/100 and was to fat for my taste.
80/100
I think I picked an epic first race 😂
Yep

I ran a new VE-33s (110/100) in the rear and a VX-40 (90/90) up front and they were amazing in those conditions.
@@fooblahblah hahaha. That’s one of my complaints about those levers
Same! Will definitely do it again next year but not on an RM250. That thing was absolutely punishing my old ass so I just bought a Husky TX 300.
