I did the TSP mods on my 24 TE300 Pro. It is like an insane tractor. I run 92 ethanol free gas, sometime with 30%VP C4. I love it up here in the PNW (Washington state, roots, slick rocks, some mud thrown in once in a while), it just makes riding here so easy. Of course tire choice and mouse or tubluss help. This may not be for everyone due to having to learn how to change fueling, PV setting and the like but there are people that can help with that. Yes, it is worth the money!!

Stumbled onto your video and loved your theme! Great communicator too, nice show. As for the ERM, I watch guys that can't ride a semi gnarly trail but they have to get rid of a little "gargle down low" sound on their bike, whatever. This is not slanted towards you, but others. Anyway, I would only buy the ERM and head because of two reasons, 1. I love TSB as a company, and 2. I love to tinker. Only the super pros really "need" this stuff. I ride with guys that have 900 hour bikes that seriously look apocalypse like and they rule the trails...blubber sound and all.

They just updated the ERM module firmware today and added a bunch of new features including being able to set fan trigger temps and also many more diagnostic tools. Check out the TSP youtube page to see. The value of the ERM module is undeniably worth every penny. It blows my mind they havent raised the price. As far as the head insert and PV cover, thats all rider preference. Ive yet to be in a situation where i thought to myself that i needed more power on my 300.

I saw the TSP update, so mad they did it days after my review!

Thanks for the review , I’ve been hesitant to buy the ERM. My 23 TX300 has been running rich and very twitchy since say one , i got used to it but after riding my friends 22 TX300 made me realized how much easier it is to ride a tamed bike going up some rocky hills. I hope changing the mapping and gearing will help with the technical riding

I think you'll notice an even bigger difference than the '24s, as I know the '23 maps were extra rich down low and they made a significant update for the next year.
If you're very accustomed to the bike now, it might take some time to adjust (that's what happened for me, at least).

Seems to be a bigger change to the enduro model TBI bikes. Stock, my EC300 was almost unrideable blubbery, Flash the TSP tune and it completely changed

      Totally agree.

      I've heard this from a lot of people. I think for the TE/EC/XC-W it's a no-brainer upgrade

@@podpocalypse9817 Yes My TE250 TBI was the worst running new bike I've ever ridden since 1971!.. TSP ERM cleaned it up nicely and I can tweak it more any time!

I have a 23 300 XC TBI which I believe is almost identical engine wise to your 2024 Husky TX. Bike is great in sandy whooped out sections but in the tight wooded sections it has a very jerky throttle response which is tiring in the white or green map. Trying to decide if the ERM trail tune would be more beneficial vs. a heavier flywheel. I was leaning more towards the ERM due to its tuneability since it sounds like it smooths out the throttle response with the trail map. What is your thoughts?

I've done both and now run them together, I know exactly what you're talking about. The flywheel weight (9oz Steahly) greatly helped the slow jerky riding (I only used green map, too). The flywheel weight this generation is significantly lighter than the TE/XC-W.
However, it liked to load up and blubber and had that low speed surging.
The TSP trail tune alone greatly expands the power range of the low end. And it still goes fast up top (though it does tame the power valve quite a bit, but you can open it up with the tuner).
IMO, the TSP trail tune is probably what you're looking for. It took my a while to love up to it, but after reviewing my previous footage of slow riding I think it's a no-brainer. It becomes a tractoring beast.

What kind of fuel are you running with the high comp head?
I live in Colombia and I ride at around 7.5k ft. but getting anything other than pump gas is a major pain in the ass so I wouldn't know what to do here...

    • @podpocalypse9817

I've done both 91 pump (some has ethanol, some doesn't), and a mix of VP racing 110 and 91 pump (~100).
The bike is crispier at higher octane, but it has done fine on lower cheap gas as well.
I'd say once in a blue moon the low octanes will ping randomly once on a ride if it gets super hot, otherwise it's been safe down here at 3k altitude.

@@podpocalypse9817 well here you’re lucky if you find anything higher than 89 octane in the mountains at this altitude, so i don’t know if a medium compression head would be a bad thing for the engine or not.

@@x_apollyon2822 My understanding is the TSP high comp head will behave like a medium comp head above 4k elevation, so unless you plan on going to flat ground it should be safe (and w/ pump gas).
