@@echoofthevoiceinthewildern3008 second, you said the Catholic Church doesn't give credit to the Holy Spirit. Of course the church gives credit to the Holy Spirit. And those who accepted the authority of the Bible, should accept the authority of the Catholic Church who gave you the Bible because the Holy Spirit worked through the Catholic church for over a thousand years to give us the Holy Scriptures.
@@echoofthevoiceinthewildern3008 3rd and lastly, I don't need to research the Council of Toulouse. I am already familiar with it. This is the single and only instance that anti-catholic always quote. Because it's one of the only times that the church prevented people from reading the Bible in one small area for a short amount of time. And it was because there were many non-christians there who are perverting the holy scriptures and confusing people and leading them away from the truth. Sort of like what Protestants do today. So the Catholic Church did not ban Bible reading across the world. It did not ban Bible reading or even understanding the Bible. In fact of the Catholic Church read the Bible to the people often, and taught it often. There was never ever in the history of the church a ban on all Bible reading. This one instance you're talking about was regarding a small town in France and only for a very short amount of time. You need to study history more, not just what anti Catholics say. In other words, research these things in depth for yourself not from a Catholic perspective, or a anti-catholic perspective, but from an actual unbiased historical perspective.
@@echoofthevoiceinthewildern3008 That's not true, and completely irrelevant. Why can't anti-Catholics who claim to follow Jesus be a little more humble and honest. It is very sad to me that you have been lied to so much, and it all started with a subjective dream that everyone knows you shouldn't put any stock in. The real truth is that the Catholic Church is the largest charitable organization on earth, feeding more people, clothing more people, educating more people, and helping more people than anyone else on planet earth. I would say that is all good. Not to mention the papacy was responsible for putting the Bible together, which you would not have if it were not God working through His Catholic Church for over a thousand years. Not to mention too that the Catholic Church built most of Western Civilization as we know it. I'm thankful for the Catholic Church. @@CatholicTruthOfficial I haven't yet. And I really want but I'm living in a non Christian country right now so there's no Catholic church here. One question though, is it okay to pray even in state of mortal sin? I really feel ashamed to approach God.
Of course it’s ok to pray in a state of mortal sin. If you are truly repentant, God will forgive you or put a priest in your path. You must confess directly to him and God is all merciful, if you confess and repent he will forgive you because he loves you and doesn’t want to lose you. I believe there is a specific prayer that can be said if you can’t go to confession and it holds you until you do. I would try and phone a Catholic Church, you may be able to do it over the phone or by proxy. The more you go to confession the more graces you receive. Please don’t give up that is Satan that wants you to. Call a priest, even from a different country if you have to. My prayers are with you brother, confess and sin no more.
@@joperez9229 Agreed. If there is no priest, just confess your sins straight to God with ALL your heart and all your sorrow. Then, make a plan to try to never do the sin again, and then do some big penance. Maybe say a rosary or a Divine Mercy Chaplet as penance. depending on your sin, you may need to make things right with someone else too. God WANTS to forgive you and help you to start over. He knows that you hate your sin, so give it to Him so he can take it and drown it to the bottom of the ocean. Then finish up by slowly praying the best Act of Contrition with all your heart. Then, start over and do better! :) (Over the phone confessions are not usually allowed, but they may let you because of your circumstance if you want to try that.) Hope that helps. @@echoofthevoiceinthewildern3008 Catholicism will never fall. Anti-Catholics have been saying that for over 500 years now. Great video Bryan. Helpful for me since I've recently come to the conclusion that the doctrine of infallibility is probably false. However I can believe that our church has the most accurate teachings of all visible churches, and is indeed God's own Apostolic church, at the same time as accepting the position that infallibility is false because of human error.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial Bryan, my acceptance of infallibility depends upon whether the RCC’s alleged moral rules and regulations about married sexuality are infallible. These rules are extrabiblical, insane, and violative of my conscience to the highest degree. Satan has significantly attacked me this month and caused me great stress and anxiety by exposing to me these apparent teachings, but I have subsequently prayer and fasted, and I reject these teachings in the name of Jesus Christ with the peace of Christ, knowing that “Marriage is honorable *in all, and the marriage bed *is undefiled*, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge” Heb 13:4. Let me clarify… I completely affirm the church’s true, biblical, good teachings against the wordly evils of premarital sex, abortion, pornography, and homosexuality. I am a very “conservative” person and I look forward to being blessed with sexual satisfaction in marriage one day. Right now, I am consumed by my self-righteousness in suffering in unmerited singleness, so ruining the “hope” of marriage for me (saying there will be only LIMITED sexual gratification) is to insult my existence to the very core. I have three major issues. Number one, the least, is the moral sin proclamation on all acts of pornless masturbation not thinking about a married woman. Number two is the completely false idea that using non-abortifacient birth control in a marriage where I have 5 children and my wife is currently pregnant, is absolutely insane and with no biblical or logical support. Worst of all, and what has SIGNIFICANTLY lead me to know not everything “Catholic” is true, is the apparent prohibition of ejaculating anywhere but my wife’s unprotected vagina. Oral and anal heterosexual intercourse which God made for married couples to enjoy are by many Catholics considered to be “mortal sins”. There is not a more disgusting, demonic false doctrine slandering the beauty of God’s creation of married sexuality that I could possibly imagine. Now, after reading Humanae Vitae, I do not think it necessarily prohibits non-vaginal married ejaculation, I think it is limited only my second issue. Verily the third is a far more preposterous assertion than the second, because while oral/anal intercourse are natural articles of enjoyment for married couples, you could make the argument that interfering with vaginal procreation even with a condom is not “natural”. I don’t accept this argument because using your nose and ears as a platform for eyeglasses, in clear violation of their natural purpose, is also clearly not “natural”, but it is not a sin to wear eyeglasses. What significantly perturbed my spirit was reading a Reddit thread about a Catholic engaged woman who thought she either had to deny her to-be husband’s desire for blowjobs (an absolutely normal, necessary, and divinely instated form of marital expression found in cunningulus form IN THE BIBLE), or risk “going to hell” “before going to confession” “if she dies in the car accident” during her marriage. Let me tell you, the pathos I felt for this poor woman affected by these satanic doctrines of devils, casting a snare upon her would-be “undefiled” married sexuality, because of false regulations invented by men, caused me great cognitive dissonance. Never before have I had a problem with Catholic doctrine, but if this is indeed Catholic dogma rather than a misunderstanding, I reject it in the name of Jesus Christ who made them “male and female” and the two become “one flesh”. This idea of married sexuality expressed in the old testament is completely contrary to the baseless pretexual assumption that all married sexual acts must be both unitive and procreative. This is like saying it is a sin always to eat ice cream because the purpose of gustatory experience is 1) to facilitate human nutrition and 2) to give pleasure as a gift of god, and eating ice cream only serves the latter but not the former so it is always a sin. So goes the absolutely false logic of Humanae Vitae that every single martial act must remain open to life even if I just inseminated my wife’s bare vagina 10 minutes ago. This teaching I reject as absolutely false and indeed evil, as it is a repressive demonic snare undermining the power of Christian marriage and marital chastity which is properly defined as marital loyalty to your spouse, not having sex with others. What about squeezing my wife’s boobs- that is in the Bible. That is unitive but not procreative, why is it not a sin? You might say in rebuttal, “well, it is not a genital act, so it isn’t really sexual and the requirement that it be both unitive and procreative does not attach”. But this is clearly false, because if I were with my unmarried girlfriend and I got naked with her and lucked and sucked and squeezed her boobs, and kissed, you would correctly claim that that would be the sin of fornication, and indeed it would be. So therefore squeezing my wife’s breasts is indeed a non-procreative but unitive sexual act which is validated in the Bible. Actually, the idea that non-procreative but unitive sexual acts in marriage are always wrong is so false and unbiblical I can’t even believe it. (By the way, I am assuming as granting that it IS A DUTY in marriage to have children, and not to intentionally never have children, as the RCC teaches. I am not disputing that, even though St. John Chrysostom did.) In the Old Testament, God proved he designed non-procreative, unitive, pleasurable sexual acts for married heterosexual couples when he prohibited homosexual acts in the old law. God said that He who lies with a man *as with a woman* commits an abomination. There are actually two similar OT verses here and they both as “as with a woman”. It is IMPOSSIBLE for two gay men to have vaginal intercourse because men do not have vaginas. Therefore, it refers to unitive, pleasurable anal/oral sex which God intended for one man and one woman to enjoy, which becomes perverted and abominably sinful when done between two men instead of between a man and a woman. WHAT ELSE does “as with a woman” mean here. It cannot mean vaginal as men don’t have vaginas. God didn’t need to use this language. God could have just say, “A man who lies with a man” and captured a broad sense of sexual gratification between men, instead of specifying the normal heterosexual anal/oral act he created for men and women, by saying, “He who lies with a man *as he would with a woman* “ I could go on and on but, in summary, assuming the teaching that it is always a sin for married man to ejaculate in his wife’s mouth or anus is in fact a Catholic teaching and is an infallible teaching, it is clearly false and to be rejected. Separately, (and I did NOT focus on the birth control topic in this post), if the RCC infallilbly teaches that it is a sin for a married couple who intends to have children later, or who has already had a child, to use non-abortifacient contraception, it is false and violative of natural law and the law of conscience inscribed onto the human heart to the fullest. Thirdly and least significantly, but still a problem for me since I am sadly unmarried, if the RCC infallibly teaches that if I willfully pornlessly masturbate to relieve sexual tension and think about the concept of my future wife, at a healthy and non-excessive frequency, that I commit a mortal sin and therefore, without intending to go to confession not believe it to be a sin at all, die in a car accident the next day, that I go straight to hell despite my belief in Jesus Christ, then likewise that is to be reject is utterly false and contrary to the word of God.
@@paulcosta8297 It sounds like you have a lot of issues and are hung up in an unhealthy way on the sexual pleasure. Among other things. But we've talked about this before. But here's the bottom line. You cannot possibly know more than the Catholic Church. You can't possibly begin to presume whether the Church is correct on something or not. That is a Protestant worldview, not a Catholic one. People like Martin Luther and John Calvin thought that they could decide what is true outside of the Catholic church. But it doesn't work that way. We just need to understand why the church teaches what she does because she's correct on these matters. The Holy Spirit guides the Church into all truth as Jesus promised. He didn't promise that to you or to me. Or to anyone else. And if we look at this logically and objectively, if you can't trust the church on the doctrine of infallibility, then you can't trust it on anything. Because of the Catholic Church is wrong on one doctrine, then it can be wrong on any or many or all. But that's not what Jesus said. Jesus said he would guide the cChurch into ALL truth, and that the church is the pillar and Foundation of Truth. And he who listens to the church listens to Jesus, and he who rejects the church rejects Jesus.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial Am I to construe your reply as an affirmation that the three teachings/commandments/moral instructions I mentioned above are indeed properly characterized, properly understood, and infallible teachings of the Catholic Church? Because I know that is itself a hotly debated question regarding Problem #2 I have (the non-abortifacient birth control in child-producing marriage topic), whereas for #1 (pornless unmarried infrequent masturbation without lustful thoughts for married woman) and #3 (a man must not ever ejaculate with or in his wife unless if vaginally and unprotected), I currently have no idea if these are infallible vs non-infallible teachings, nor do I even know the actual dogmatic authority. They are just my understandings from legalistic pagan-Greek-stoic-influenced sexuality-disparaging Saint-Augustine-types on r/Catholicism and forums.catholic.com. Depending on your answer, I can reply more usefully, because if in fact I am not accurately characterizing Catholic teaching, or if I am only attacking non-infallible teaching, I can do so without claiming I am rejecting the actual infallible teaching of the church. But you said "because she's correct on these matters", so that suggests to me that you are affirming that that which I have assailed through irrefutable biblical and logical reasoning above are indeed accurately posed, correctly understood, infallible teachings of the RCC. Is that the case? If that is the case, I would ask you how I can be expected to ignore the plain indications of the reason and intellectual faculty God gave me, and the plain meanings of His word he gave me to "study so that I may show myself approved". If Pope Frances came out and said homosexuality is not always a sin because we must accept all people and have new understandings in science, yada yada, of course you would deny such continued false demonic teachings? Are you saying the Catholic Church has never been wrong? Are you serious? How come I never get cogent replies from hyper-catholic hyper-legalist people on this topic addressing the actual merits of my arguments? (E.g., the poor Catholic finacee woman on Reddit oppressed by these demonic snares afflicting her marriage prospect, the nose/ear/eyeglasses metaphor, the completely analogous ice cream comparison, the Old Testament homosexuality prohibition affirming heterosexual anal/oral intercourse as natural and intended, the evident non-procreative married sexual acts openly affirmed and praised inside the Bible itself in Song of Solomon, the utter lack of such moral prohibitions in the Old Testament even though we are now absolved from obligation to follow Jewish law rather than additionally bound to follow new regulations, etc.) But, first, let me ask you and confirm that you are saying that what I have attacked above are indeed infallible, properly understood RCC teachings.
@@paulcosta8297 Correct. All masturbation is wrong, except as foreplay in marriage and that has to culminate in the sexual act. Consequently your #3 is wrong also and it's a misuse of your sexual faculties. All contraception except NFP is intrinsically evil and a non-negotiable for a Catholic. No offense brother, but these are not things you get to decide on. Jesus guides the Church, not you, into all truth, and the church is not mistaken on these. These have been taught for 2000 years. As for relieving sexual tension, it sounds like you may need to work on your lustful thoughts? You can work to relieve sexual tension without masturbation. Masturbation is a misuse of our sexual faculties and it's a mortal sin. So, You will have to bring these things to Jesus and ask for His help, ask Him to help you, heal, you and give you want you need to live his commandments.

Many Catholics easily stray away from the faith that they received. What are the reasons for their falling into complacency, becoming indifferent and even hostile towards Christ and the Christian Faith? The fault with many Catholics is that they think baptism is a graduation from having acquired knowledge and understanding of their faith. After completing their catechism classes or RCIA journey, they no longer seek out opportunities to continue growing their faith, both doctrinally and spiritually. Their only occasion to grow in faith is the one-hour Mass that they attend every Sunday. This is hardly enough to sustain the life of a Catholic. Those who do not grow in their faith are already losing their faith. There is no neutrality. How, then, can we grow in our faith? Firstly, we need to deepen our intimacy with God through Christ. In Christ, we come to know and love the Father. Secondly, we must be rooted in the Word of God. We cannot grow in our faith without deepening our love and appreciation for the Word of God through bible study and most of all, a prayerful reading and sharing of the Word of God. Thirdly, we must seek the support of the Christian community. A Catholic without the support of his fellow Catholics will eventually fall out from the faith, especially when he undergoes the trials and challenges of life, the influence of secularism, and the materialistic, individualistic and atheistic views of the world. Fourthly, to grow our faith, we need to evangelise and be a witness to Christ. We evangelise ourselves by evangelising others. By sharing our faith with others, we strengthen our own faith. By teaching our faith to others, we grow in understanding and clarity in what we believe in. Finally, growing in faith is to grow in our Christian life. This is the most effective form of witnessing. It means that those of us who are baptised must live a life of holiness and purity, free from sin and a bad conscience. A life of holiness and charity are the fruits of a strong spiritual life and a life of hope founded in the promises of God.

People disprove their points, and instead of saying you were wrong, you just jump to another topic. (I made a whole video on this and anti-Catholics - ua-cam.com/video/9y5Z8twGwCk/v-deo.html).

You are amazing. A true defender of the Catholic faith and traditions that have had survived for more than two 2 thousand plus years and it will survive until the end of times.
Please pray for me for I am neck deep in mortal sin.
Sure! Have you gone to confession? Sounds like it's time, especially for Advent! ;)
(Over the phone confessions are not usually allowed, but they may let you because of your circumstance if you want to try that.) Hope that helps. Let me know any further thoughts if you have them.

Echo - You are so very confused. It amazes me all the conspiracy theories out there on the internet. People will believe anything when they refuse to believe the truth! This is sad, and I know you were Catholic and have to find reasons to justify why you left, but you cannot. We will pray for you.
@Catholic Truth You are very bad at getting Catholic followers. I used to be a Catholic and when I questioned my faith Catholics like you refused to answer my questions and insulted me.
@@echoofthevoiceinthewildern3008 Catholicism will never fall. Anti-Catholics have been saying that for over 500 years now. The Catholic Church started by Jesus Christ himself has been around 2000 years and Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Even with 300 years of torture and death, of Catholics dying from persecution, it couldn't stamp out Catholicism. Rather it grew to the largest church on earth. All your vain, emotional scare tactics are poor substitutes for intellectual arguments.
God used the Catholic Church to convert the Empire with the love and truth of Jesus Christ. You parallel analogy does not hold up. This is only your own personal and fallible interpretation of Scripture. The Bible never says the devils throne is in Rome. Show me those words and I will believe you.
That is why Jesus started the Catholic Church. To change the world! This same Catholic Church started hospitals, orphanages, colleges, and much more, and the Catholic Church alone canonized the Bible and chose the books of Scripture under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

You are most welcome. Glad you found it helpful. Out of curiosity, what do you think infallibility is? And why do you think it's not true?
Let me clarify…
I completely affirm the church’s true, biblical, good teachings against the wordly evils of premarital sex, abortion, pornography, and homosexuality.
God could have just say, “A man who lies with a man” and captured a broad sense of sexual gratification between men, instead of specifying the normal heterosexual anal/oral act he created for men and women, by saying, “He who lies with a man *as he would with a woman* “
I could go on and on but, in summary, assuming the teaching that it is always a sin for married man to ejaculate in his wife’s mouth or anus is in fact a Catholic teaching and is an infallible teaching, it is clearly false and to be rejected.
