Online Play tends to be so laggy. So what they're doing is better in the end, to prevent slowdowns. You're already not colliding with each other in local co-op. But by doing qhat they do, the world isn't required to synch up between players, and players can enter the same or different levels if they want to. You still get to interact. But not directly. So much less lag.
@@NinTyler yeah, but I fear lag would ruin that. If you all just stay together and go in the same levels, maybe it will still be close enough to co-op?

I'm late for this and it's been a while since I've been around here, but it's nice to see you're doing well Tyler and I'll absolutely try to be here for at least your videos of Wonder! Each time we see more of this game it looks better, I'm so looking forward to playing it! Personally, I don't particularly mind the online because of what you mentioned yourself after the Direct, but don't mind Yoshi being "easy mode" either as people who could need such characters will certainly appreciate the choice and also because it makes sense as Yoshis in most games - especially Mario ones, but technically Yoshi's Island as well - don't die when they get hit, only when they fall into pits etc.
My main concern is that some of the new power-ups and badges seem overpowered. Like Bubble for example, it's basically a long-range through-the-walls insta-kill of anything, even Dry Bones, while also allowing you to double jump. -Also Yoshi is busted wtf-
With Yoshi/nabbit if you use the safety bounce badge I think the only thing that you can die to is squished into the camera and the wall unless the safety bounce only works once per fall (so if you fell into a pit you wouldn’t keep bouncing out to speed run a massive pit area like a world 2 sky level)
Look man, I really respect your desire to not be just another useless reaction channel that contributes nothing to the original video -- but commenting and saying something every single frame of the video isn't much better imo, especially when the commentary isn't of much substance or entertainment (i.e explaining the thing that's clearly happening on the screen) -- I feel like viewers want genuine reactions more than just filler speak. Hopefully this doesn't come off too harshly
