I like Are Lingus, in September 2011, I went to Dublin Ireland, and the flight staff was nice. And the plane was so smooth. I fell.asleep in those 8 hours.
I love the Captain ..he looks like a guy who you see in the old pics of the Queen Mary ..why did he not have a glass too? ..Aer Lingus have the best livery..the 330,s look amazing with that shamrock on their tail just like the old 747,s . Aer Lingus ..great pilots and beautiful planes
Hahah...thats not going to happen... We already have 2 airports with transatlantic routes. Cork's runway might be too short for these type of planes with such fuel and passenger.
The runway in Cork is way to short for any big aircraft at max load. It isn´t even long enough for a fully loaded B737-800 nor an A320. A 757 is able of taking off from there fully loaded but it can´t fly much further than New York, Washington or Chicago from Europe
Hi Aer Lingus i recon you Should order 8-10 Boeing 787-9s with RR Trent 1000 engines plus 3 Airbus A330s and 10 Airbus A320 and 5 Airbus A321 with Sharklets Why the 787-9 It is a pretty good aircraft that is quiet and clean green . plus it would suit Aer Lingus's Fleet i recon the 787 should have a special Aer Lingus livery like what China Southern did with their 787s but theirs are the 787-8 and you should have the slightly larger Boeing 787-9 .
Jo Tyers Rego's for the 787s EI-KEA , KEB , KEC , KED , KEE , KEF ,KEF , KEG ,KEH , KEI . the 787s should be ordered by the end of 2015 first one should arrive 2017-18 by then it would be time to get rid of the old A330s .
Jo Tyers Or they could stick to the 9x A350-900's they already have on order......as it would suit their fleet muct more. They are arriving 3 per year from 2018. They can then add A321LR's to replace the B757's and supplement their all Airbus fleet
It's kinda amazing that you can fly from California to Ireland in a twin-engined plane.
They have the best call sign ever!
So so true

I'll be flying AerLingus out of SFO in two weeks for my very first time out of the states, and I'm so excited! It can't come soon enough!
+Kate D How did it go? My family and I are looking at flying them to Dublin....possibly via SFO. Loved SFO!

Aer Lingus made a resume non-stop service from Dublin to San Francisco. It's a very long flight. It's the Airbus A330.

what is the name of the song that starts at 4:30? I love it! Sounds like an irish folk song?
Love this vid
So whens cork going to get a transatlantic route?
Hahah...thats not going to happen... We already have 2 airports with transatlantic routes. Cork's runway might be too short for these type of planes with such fuel and passenger.
Never ha
Jake1825 I believe a 757 should be able to handle Cork... But theres no real demand for a transatlantic flight from Cork tbh.

Andrew Nielsen I know that once a 747 landed in Cork, although it was not fully loaded.
like the irish bagpipe music
