Very cool test. I also watched your S20 at 120 Hz vs iPhone Pro Max battery test video and noticed that the S20 performed exactly the same down to the minute in both videos. So out of curiosity, did you re-do the test and re-record it or did you re-use the video and results from the other video? If you re-did the tests and it performed exactly the same, that would be pretty remarkable. Also, the results here make me think that the iPhone Pro Max will outlast the S20 at 60 Hz by 40+ minutes.

I feel like the difference needs to be 10 percent or less before I could afford to use the 120. Battery life is a big deal after all. I really really loved the fast refresh rate and got addicted to it in a short while. However real life happened after the honeymoon of the new phone was over a battery life was king so I switched back to 60. After a few weeks or months and I became used to the 60 again and don't think nothing of it anymore. If I'd sit indoors and scroll a lot all day with a charger right by my desk maybe that would change the picture for me. Looking forward to the day when technology advances to where battery last a week or more.

@@dantedijon1 oof Jesus.. he tested only day to day apps. Using 1440p and 1080p resolutions are affecting games and video content. If you play games in 1440p you will have a better resolution sure but your battery will drain quicker than normal and your performance will decrease as 1440p requires more gpu hence the battery life decrease and lower performance. If you put 1080p while gaming your resolution quality will decrease but you will have better performance and far better battery life.
Using 1440p on Netflix is the same as the games but not to that extent. It will take longer to charge your device assuming you are watching a video at 1440p on either Netflix or youtube and charging at the same time. Because he tested it in day to day apps like Messenger app(not fb one) Instagram etc they don't even require 1440p resolution.. that's why you don't notice any battery drain.

Do you have this test on the S20 plus?
My S20 plus is less than a month old and it's battery performs badly in my opinion. For example for 4 hours and 15 min On and 3 hours and 7 min screen on time (60Hz refresh rate) it already dropped to 62% (NOT a heavy usage and does NOT including ANY kind of gaming)! The calculation of the system battery app says that a full charge will last for about 12 hours with this normal, not heavy usage. So can someone tell me if this is okay, and I'm just too paranoid about it, or it's a bad performance? Now, I'm saying that my phone is less than a month old, but that's since I bought it, I don't know for how long it was been in the store before this, maybe a year I guess, (it wasn't used during this time, of course, it was just sitting in the box) and I don't know if this matters? Can someone aware of this kind of stuff tell me something more, please?
Forgot to mention all of this screen on time was on automatic brightness which is mostly in the middle or bellow.
Edit: For now 10 hours and 40 min. On time and 6 hours and 40 min. screen on, my batter is at 5%. I still didn't do any gaming at all. All I did was just watching UA-cam videos and read some articles online, not much Facebook time (just 10 - 20 min) and 0 Instagram time (I don't use Instagram). The calculator on the system battery care app says that I have around 30 - 35 min left. So it will not be 12 hours after all.
