I grew up there got married there . Eventually moved away about 8 years ago the town had died . It’s funny how Rich’s hamburgers is still ! In business I love those things ! I go down there to visit momma from time to time . But man it’s sad seen places abandoned that were once thriving business.
Hey wanna check with all , in pine bluff is electricity power up after the storm hit the state , on june 25th , i'm tryin to contact a person ,who lives there but not able to very much concern , if anyone help with the information it would be very greatful
@@kennypalermo9071 Pine Bluff has an interstate, sort of. I-530 is a spur off I-30, it goes from LR to PB, loops around the town, then turns into US Hwy 65
First video of my city where some nancy boy isn't trolling around pretending to be scared of every crack in the pavement. Good job. I drive many of these roads every morning.
the downfall of Pine Bluff is a self-inflicted wound. the local Industries have colluded for years to keep other Industries out so they can reap the benefits of not having to compete with other Industries for workers and keep wages low as they want and the corrupt public officials have catered to them every step of the way. The only thing that was keeping them afloat for a while was the local paper mill and the military base adjacent to the town. When the Arsenal and the Mill scaled back operations, the money they took out of the economy put the city in a death spiral and if it wasn't for the University, the city would be worse.

I grew up in Pine Bluff I remember Simmons First National Bank and Court House
Was hoping to see Cherry St. Back in the day our favorite pastime was to ‘ride Cherry.’
Been stuck here 43 years. Id guve anything to get out.
I think the reason why this town is so abandoned from what other people have been saying about how dangerous pine Bluff is
True that's definitely a factor. I'll have an in depth video about this place soon on the other channel.
@@MileageMikeTravels that's probably the best idea
@@MileageMikeTravels Is Pine Bluff the largest city in Arkansas without any interstates?

That is a symptom of the problem, not the problem.
Welcome to Downtown sign and there are no open businesses. Sad
Never seen anything like it
Will there be a tour of the UAPB Campus?
Didn’t check it out but I’ll have a video in a couple weeks on the other channel taking a closer look at the city.
Thanks looking forward to it.
What’s the name of the other channel?
How sad to see once thriving communities as this, one by one become so depressing and awful. I WONDER WHY????

Shocking but really not so much just like a lot of towns in arkansas people said you can have it we are out. Decline is self evident….

It is a self-inflicted wound, but the biggest culprit has been crime.

1. As always, thank you for the ride-along tour.
2. They should take a bulldozer to the entire town of Pine Bluff and start from scratch.
