Didn’t think Charlie would find his way to the bluff but he did. My hometown is a small city yet a very dangerous & impoverished place full of blue collar living. It’s on its last leg but they’re trying to save it & rebuild but only time will tell thanks for coming Charlie 💯✌🏿

DARIN D’ANGELO I agree with you. Just because it’s not as big as “ New Orleans “, doesn’t mean that it’s not dangerous. He’s the type of person that will go there and end up in a body bag for real. I lived there for 5 years and it’s not as safe as it looks.

Thank You so much for showing Pine Bluff, Ark’s hoods. I was looking at UA-cam for decor when you pop the caption Pine Bluff Hoods. I was born and bred on the West side of Pine Bluff, but it has been a very. Very long time since I have been home, since my mother and father are no longer alive. I must say I was shocked 😮 by how Pine Bluff, has deteriorated. So many boarded up and burned out houses. The years have not been kind to Pine Bluff. I wish I could see the street names, but I remember and could identify some areas. Thank You for showing my hometown. Although, it has urban Blythe like a lot of cities. I still Love her, because she’s home for me and I retain good and bad memories of growing up there. Thank You for the job you did capturing Pine Bluff.

Well, maybe my city isn't a garden paradise. But our crime rate is lower than Little Rock, Baltimore, Detroit,
East St. Louis, St. Louis, Chicago, Camden NJ and even Washington DC.
I've been here since summer, 1981. I've seen how much PB has fallen, and I hope that things pick up. (Maybe
the Casino can help, who knows?) And I have no where else to go. (I'm almost 61. Where else can I go?)
And I like it here very much. And there are very good people here.
I left St. Louis after it gave me a severe nervous breakdown. I haven't had one here.

There are many people that live here, especially in those boarded up homes. Pine bluff is an amazingly dangerous place. Summer of 2018 May-Sept I worked selling home security for a company - meaning I was a door to door salesman. Holy shit the conditions that they live in!! Roaches, bugs, mice run rampant throughout their homes, unreported rapes, murder, and arsen. The education system is beyond repair. University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff has a 9% GRADUATION RATE AT THE BACHELORETTE LEVEL. I’ve had to talk people out of hurting me or hurting others. The citizens themselves stay in the house off the streets in fear of getting hurt. The youth aren’t afraid to victimize the old here, and many, including the children, are desensitized to violence and crime.

This is a quaint and quiet little town. For the most part, it is clean and it looks comfortable. However, most of the homes look outdated and could use a couple coats of paint and a few repairs. Some of streets could use some repair also, but that is to be expected everywhere. There are a few abandoned homes which I think should be bulldozed. It doesn't look like much violence happens there. BUT...looks are often deceiving. I must say that I do indeed love this little town. Thank you.

I grew up near here. It’s not bad during the day, but I wouldn’t step foot in this place at night. It has really gotten bad in the last decade or two. It’s not their fault, they’re nice people all around, but it is a dangerous place. You need to know how to keep to yourself and to look like someone who’s not to be messed with.

This is much different compared where I lived before in Geneva,
Switzerland, one of the nicest place in the world. The first time I walked on
this hood area was because the bus left me from the health center. I had to go in
the mall. They told me that is one of the dangerous areas. And I said oh. While I was walking there somebody just bugging
talking to me. Now, I am living almost 13 years here and never walked there
again. Don’t get me wrong, there is a nicer
place in Pine Bluff but just not in those type of hood areas.

Grandparents lived on Texas St S of 6th. The City Hall went up when I was visiting them. I remember the racially divided counters at the Woolworth's on Main, the bus station (rode in and out many times), the Hotel Pines, the Harley shop on Ohio (I think), the outdoor news-stand just of Main by the tracks. It has become a ghost town of a sort. Truly sad. Population was 63,000 then.

Really what's the point of this video. I'm not from pine bluff but I don't need someone to ride around to show me what a hood looks like. Everyone should know what a hood looks like unless you've been living under a rock. Pine bluff is like 75 percent black so when you say pine bluff hoods you're talking about black folks not all black communities are hoods just saying.

If this is considered "low income" or "poverty", the people who feel dissatisfied or feel like they "don't have enough" living there really need to see videos of how people in their same relative station/class in other countries live. There is really no comparison.
The "hood" depicted here seems to have very wide, well-paved/well-maintained streets, signage that's not destroyed or vandalized, enormous front/back/side yards, generously sized houses, vehicles, and so many other signs of clear prosperity (air conditioners, electricity, running water, vegetation, organized garbage pick-up, multiple vehicles on a single property, etc.) that it seems is taken completely for granted.
There is SO MUCH SPACE, so much obvious WEALTH, and so much of the surroundings there are a beautiful, healthy green and not paved over every square inch choking out all the joy and nature. The air doesn't look totally polluted and dark full of smog, either. There are countries where the middle class -- even upper-middle-class -- do not have roads that nice or land/homes that generously sized, nor do they have as much vegetation to clear out the pollution.
The crime in other places requires even the wealthy to pay for expensive security in the buildings they live in to occupy a fraction of space in a tall building crammed with thousands of other people like sardines, that the people in this video get to enjoy without having to pay for that security. The people in these neighborhoods could have a garden of their own, in each yard, if they wanted to. Not everyone gets that option. It is a huge privilege to be able to do that.
This neighborhood would be considered a paradise to millions of people. The land of milk and honey. I just hope the people living there realize how good they have it and work to make it even better for themselves. Plant more trees and flowers and don't let anyone destroy your big trees if you can help it. It makes a huge difference, and you have the land and space to do it. So many other people WISH they had that. Best of luck to everyone living here. You are already richer than most.
