- A little recap of our 2022 bass lure fishing season around Herne bay in kent and Reculver. we also caught a lot of fish at hampton jetty of all places.
we had a fair few bass on lures, mainly savage gear seekers in 16 grams and some of my own custom made bass poppers
this autumn we also finally worked out how to catch the squid. we used float fished prawn and squid jigs.
my lure rod is a shiamano dialuna paired with a 3000 shimano stradic
I sometimes use my push net to collect prawns at Broadstairs. Get quite a few amongst the mountains of weed, but i live in Faversham and i would love to collect more locally. Is Herne Bay good for push netting? Loving this video, thanks for the content 😊

Something a little different for the channel eh, plus the weather had been really poor and I had the footage on the phone so whipped it into a vid.
Nice video, good to see that there are fish at or around the Herne bay area, I am down there quite a lot during the year, and so far my lure fishing has not been very successful as yet.
Guess i must be doing something wrong ?? Will be there again for early next year, when we get the caravan back out.
Will keep my eyes open for you guys.
Again good to see what can be done down there, do not think i have seen any other vids like your's for particular area.

The beaches here are stuffed with fish, we don't normally film any of our trips but going forward I think we will..
The lure fishing can be really productive, infact we seem to catch more on the lures and float gear than we ever did bait fishing
I hear the summer is generally best for Bass - what tide level/time of day would you recommend, please?
And are there any spots in Herne Bay that are particularly good for lure fishing?

The water clears so quickly nowdays mate. It's a completely different beach to when you last fished here
