There should be big isolation switches on the ac and dc side of the inverter. So you can turn off in emergency! Looks like a bad install to me. Not seen this inveter before either.

There is huge difference between an electrician and solar installer. Always let professionals to install your inverter with recommended wires and breakers. An electrician can burn your house down.

And clearly knows the difference between AC and DC conductors, voltage drop etc. A solar company almost always has undertrained technicians who have absolutely no business doing electrical wiring. DC string is large then DC breaker. Mostly solar system installers in Pakistan making Big String then Rated voltage. And the result is here.

That may be but there are tech warning out about using the cheap disconnects and fuses.. Seems that if you try to open the connection by flipping the breaker or switch under load you cause an arc that cannot be extinguished thus melting and setting on fire the cheap switch.. Quality switches have ceramic arc stopping/extinguishing channels..
If inverter is fault, First need to check input DC amps if Zero then only remove the MC4 connector. If any amps will showing on DC side inverter inside some short ckt. So need check proper after removed MC4 without do the above practice. They can remove the connector happening DCDB side firing.

Surge protection/protectors are designed to protect the input of energy and output. 5,000 watts = 5,000 volts. It should have built in surge protectors, that can adjust input energy and output. Inverters are inversely proportional to one another, with allowable space to its equilibrium. NON-ALGORITHM standards of excellence.

This fire probably started when molten material from blown MOSFETs sprayed from the vents on the side of this cheap Chinese made high frequency, transformerless inverter. If you want to avoid this type of scenario, then buy a low frequency, transformer based inverter instead.
