Whew!!! Between the challenging landing strip and all the commotion with the people, this video in intense. But thanks to the workhorse Porter and Andre's flying skills everything ended well. Thanks for another exciting video Andre'
Thanks for a trip down memory lane Sir. 52 years ago I was doing that sort of flying, albeit in PNG western highlands. Those scenes after landing, remind me of a few chilling experiences that were sometimes more frightening than the flying. 260 HP C185’s, without the benefit of GPS, moving maps, radar, and turbine power, added significantly to the challenges. Beautiful camera work and editing ; congratulations. Regards Mach Buffett
Hey John! Thanks for reaching out! Sad that I haven’t been able to visit the US but when I do I’ll surely let you know! Happy New Year 2025 with many blessings 🙏
Epic moving vid as ever Sir, the people, the scenery, the close ups, the plane ! not forgetting the time its taken to put this vid and the music together, thank you Sir
Unreal, I absolutely love the emotion in your videos. I am a Man! Man this man always sheds a tear when watching most any video you post, I am just a man in a shed in a rural state with the world at my fingertips, I have little money but a life filled with so much joy, happiness and health. To see the lives others live and the fact you stick a plane in these remote areas and share it with us is a blessing. The hardships and safety you face are unreal, thank you for sharing as this brings it right to us. Sad elephants! Haha
Wow, really awesome on every level. I've followed the Missionary Bush Pilot videos fairly closely and notice many differences in actual landing sites, equipment, support etc. Is this the same area of PNG? How the work gets divided up? Clearly the areas you service can't pay for services in cash. Is there entirely different systems/networks of bush pilots going into highly diverse landing zones? Hard to see the Kodiak operating on some of the strips you go into. If there are different levels of Bush pilots servicing different niches within the local environment do they cooperate with each other? Thank you for your amazing work and beautiful touch in photography and editing. It all works perfectly and conveys a powerful human experience.
Sad about the people. Not much point in living remote out there like that these days. Love to see pilatus porters in action. Ive been up in them hundreds of times but only landed a handful of times in them! If the conditions require a pilatus porter then you know they also require a very good pilot. Great plane and great piloting.
Sure looks a more exciting and interesting flying career than I’ve had going from an LNAV departure to an ILS approach and landing, with the automatics engaged 99% of the time.
Got to be a kind of heartbreak to experience discord among the people when you land, bringing food and returning a medi-vac... Did you learn what the issue was ?
Is this in Papua New Guinea or West Papua?? They're totally different countries. West Papua is under brutal occupation by Indonesia, and West Papua is independent.

Those propeller vortices on takeoff are amazing. This is some of the absolute best extreme flying on UA-cam. You should be proud of that.
Thank you John! Really appreciate your feedback 🙏 keep well and Happy 2025!

Very nice maninho!! Continua a dar-lhe!! Beijios
Insanely good content.
That Pilatus cockpit is so awesome. It's a deliciously primitive and so functional.

Appreciate you watching!
10:21 was a little more runway than usual. I noticed you left the stall warning on to indicate when to rotate.
Yeah this one is a little longer but still a challenge to nail the landing spot. BTW, the stall warning is always on 😁
Amaizing André!! Fiquei colada ao acento😮
Obrigado mami, feliz com a reação 🤗
perfect, thanks....👍👍👍
You're welcome! Cheers mate! Happy 2025

Selamat Natal dan Tahun Baru, Capt
Selamat Tahun Baru 2025 Om! Trims 🙏
incredible/ you are the best pilatus pilot. whats watch on your wrist?
Hahah thank you! My mum gave me this Casio watch over 15years ago.

That runway... Pucker factor 100!
Hahah cheers mate! Happy 2025!
Gooooooodddddd
3:43 How are you determining distance, GPS waypoint at runway threshold I’m guessing.
You nailed it, waypoints at the threshold or parking area. Usually the parking area.
👍👍👍
Mantap...saya paskalis AMA
Paskalis! Trims sekali 🤙🙏
I hear the locals really like expat pilots there... with a little bit of mustard, and washed down with a chilled white wine.
A little racist, and not that funny.
As dangerous as agricultural flying, maybe worse. So many pilots have died doing it.
Sure looks a more exciting and interesting flying career than I’ve had going from an LNAV departure to an ILS approach and landing, with the automatics engaged 99% of the time.
I’m sure Airline flying has its challenges and excitement but in this type of flying you rarely get bored 😂 appreciate your message! Happy New Year
Did all those buildings come in by plane?
Yes, airplane and or, occasionally a Helicopter
It breaks my heart to see those skinny kids with big bellies
It breaks mine too. Hope that help reaches out to these communities so that videos like this don’t need to be shown 😌
Got to be a kind of heartbreak to experience
discord among the people when you land,
bringing food and returning a medi-vac...
Did you learn what the issue was ?
It is indeed… I reckon the lady had malaria
Papua, or Irian Jaya?
Mate have you tried Emirates? Might be a better job for you.
😂😂 I think I’d be a very bored emirates pilot
Is this in Papua New Guinea or West Papua?? They're totally different countries. West Papua is under brutal occupation by Indonesia, and West Papua is independent.
West Papua, Indonesia.
Another society that we have ruined!
Yeah, they don't pay you blokes enough. We can always tell the ex PNG pilots at work. Never whinge and rarely if ever snag anything....
Hahah appreciate your message 😁👌 I do try to keep the mechanics busy so that I don’t need to fly with a snagged plane 😂 for my mom and dad’s sake
